This man is dying fast.... any clues?

Says his doctors don't know, but think it's some kind of toxic beyond, say, mold or whatever (he said last year his new house was found with mold). Told him I'd help him if I could. Thanks:

Suzy, I don't know at this point. Just started talking with him about it yesterday. He's been very ill for about a year now. Hasn't answered his pm's yet today (he owns another board). I researched putting his sypmtoms into the browser yesterday, and came up with a bunch of heavy metal (lead, mercury) type things it could be. Or Pike's Disease (very rare). However in Pike's there's no cure. When he answers my pm's I'll ask him. Very very sad. He's in his 40's too, I think. I'll let you know. Thanks.

Find an MD or ND who uses chelation therapy for detoxing -- time is not a luxury here. What part of the country?

He still hasn't answered the pm's. Will pm him this thread, since he's a member of TB too, I believe. Thanks.

Re: Did you go to the TB site I set up for you?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes I did, thank you. I'm reading on Cheltion therapy now.
It's hard to explain, but when part of your mind dies another part wakes up. This is of particular significance because it indicative of certain specific forms of dementia over others. The other is the cyclical nature that can change not only week to week, day to day, but actual from one hour to next.
This is another frightening aspect in which my family must deal with. One moment perfect lucid, the next mad as a hatter, and I unfortunately am not aware of the trangression of one to the other...... HOWEVER... that is just the DEMENTIA aspect..... the affect of this is systemic.
I have severe Orthostatic Hypotension, Pulmonary Edema, Hepatic elevation, Panhypopituitarism, Recurrent Kidney failure, cronically activated C3 compliment.
My doctor as I said is tops in his field which involves environmental toxins, I am followed by doctors at Johns Hopkins, and had an extensive neurocognative workup from Wayne A. Gordon, PhD; MD, Mount Sinai School of Medicine probably the foremost expert in traumatic brain injury who made the conclusion that I have extensive toxin induced brain injury.
What is unfortunate is that it progressively degenerative. But as I said when part of the mind dies another part wakes up. My testing reveals that while I am progressively becoming an idiot in manners of normal function I conversely have scored in the highest 99th percentile in cognative reasoning. As such my own doctors advised me strongly to become proactively involved in the investigation of what has impacted me with such devastation, to the point I have been given extensive instruction on blood sample extraction and slide preperation and a rather volumanous atlas of microscopic photographic reference content. And of course a pretty damn good microscope.
I appreciate your interest, most people are rarely willing to express anything more than a tersery "damn that stinks, sucks to be you" you indeed appear to be a genuinely caring and good person and I am thankful that there are folks like you in this world. Those fortunate enough to have you in their lives are indeed blessed. regards~

OK. So when do you know the results of the Pike's testing? WHAT TOXIN and why can't they say? Like I asked you, lead, mercury, any asbestos exposure? You don't know? I'm trying to snag onto something, even teensy, that I can latch onto and go from there. I keep thinking somewhat along the lines of a Lorenzo's Oil type deal, which may or may not be true, but it came to my mind. Just type Lorenzo's Oil into your browser and a lot of stuff comes up.

Now for the weird part - I don't know why, but the word Tallow keeps going through my mind. It started last night when I was saying a prayer for you. Maybe nothing, maybe a clue? Well, for you to peruse. Let us know what you think and how the test came out, so that I and the others on TB can see if we can help.

A Hair Analysis Test is pretty good at pinpointing heavy metal toxins in the body and not too expensive. I still would find a good Naturopathic Doctor who works with not only chelation of heavy metals but homepathic remedies, and therapeutic use of nutritional supplementation. Here is the website of those ND's who graduated from a US government 4 year accredited school with internship --> There are some paper mills out there who call themselves NDs. These people are legit.

MizKitty: This comes to mind when you say Tallow -- to me tallow is fat and fat in the brain is imperative to its health.

Essential Fatty Acids and the Brain

The brain is made up of many substances. More than 20% of the brain is made of fatty substances that fulfill important functions. The myelin sheaths which surround the brain cells contain essential fatty acids that are directly involved in transmitting and receiving brain messages from other parts of the body. You might say these essential fatty acids keep the "switchboard" or message center – your brain - functioning at its best. Studies of individuals with attention deficit disorder, depression, and early dementia related diseases have found corresponding links with fatty acid deficiencies.

Researchers believe diets that maintain a balance of the essential fatty acids (omega-3 and omega-6) keep the neural networks in the brain functioning in a prescribed, automatic pattern. If the brain is deprived of the omega-3 essential fatty acids, the neural network must compensate and create a psuedo-pattern of reaction; usually creating a less efficient and delayed response. When this response is repeated day after day, it may cause the brain to imprint this ineffective pattern as the "norm". Problems evolve as essential linkages are blocked as the brain struggles to compensate. Memory problems, disorders in mood and learning difficulties may become symptomatic.

Flaxseed contains an abundant resource for omega-3 essential fatty acids. Promising research continues as scientists, physicians and nutritionists gain greater understanding as to the direct connection between dietary needs and optimal brain functioning.

Cold Pressed, High Lignan Flaxseed Oil is the best -- any healthfood store.

Hope this helps.

This may not be any use whatsoever, but when we had friends with a little boy with epilepsy, we learned that an extremely high-fat diet was supposed to be helpful in preventing seizures.

Apples, blueberries, cranberries. Helps the brain too. Especially for dementia/Alzheimers type symptoms. Just heard that on Healthwatch on our local TV.

A really good and cheap chelation therapy is cilantro.

I make up a cilantro tea once in a while, but using it fresh works too.

Mzkitty, you say that your friend just moved into a 'new' house. New as in newly built or just new to him? Was the carpet replaced? New furniture? Did his symptoms start after he moved in or before? What about his work any changes there (i.e. carpet, remodeling) in the last year? Do a search on formaldehyde poisoning and see if anything rings a bell. My mom went through something similar a couple of years back and it turned out to be formaldehyde from carpet both in her home and office. She switched to environmentally friendly cleaners and placed glass containers of ammonia around her office and home to neutralize the formaldehyde. Things got much better fairly quickly. BTW aspartame is converted to formic acid then to formaldehyde in the body. If the body cannot handle the change in pH (uses alkaling buffers i.e. calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium). The formaldehyde is stored in fatty tissue (tallow?). We went through SOOO many tests and just happened onto the formaldehyde thing...lucky thing she was going downhill fast. BG

He was just here and read everything. He said I could post the photo album of the house, which they had to just abandon. It's unreal:

I told him to go to the butcher and get some tallow and cook it into a broth, and hopefully he will start eating the other fats and things that were suggested. He may be having to start dialysis soon too.

Yes there is a suit against the builder and the window manufacturer. We have the most feared structural claims attornies on the eastern seaboard and there is nothing they can do, nothing they can get that can take what I've lost and progressively continue to lose.

Want a real eye opener check this. This page I never got a chance to add to the site

Did any of the wet wood in the house have a green mold growing on it? I have heard reports that it causes lung damage. In babies it causes bleeding from the lung that can be fatal. I think it is an [/I]Aspergillus species. It causes lung damage in adults also.

MzKitty: A couple of ideas:

I believe it was the main TBTK that the information about Col. Joe Hart was mentioned last week or so. He has 3 patents on his "information" that oxalic acid = our immune system. Anything that decomposes the oxalic acid in our bodies such as Citric Acid, Excess Calcium, B6, EMFs will cause disease in our bodies. He is claiming that folks have been cured of Alzheimers, Cancer, Vascular diseases and Viral and Bacterial diseases by keeping the oxalic acid actively working in the body. There are a few testimonies on his website www.coljoe.com. I have checked labels have found citric acid and calcium choride added to many "health food" products and of course non-health food products. It is even in one of my "organic" spices! I wonder if this person might have several things going on at the same time. That might give him something new to look at. Perhaps he is taking calcium supplements or drinking a beverage full of citric acid. I didn't see in any of the posts what his diet is like so I can't comment on that.

Just the heavy metal poisoning alone is of great concern if it has crossed the brain barrier. It is hard to get past it, but if it does can really wreak havoc. I have been studying just this issue for over 2 years now. There is a product that was recommended to me to carry out the mercury through the feces and urine without stirring it up like chlorella, for example does. Taking chlorella is like kicking up sand in the desert -stirred up, but doesn't carry it out. From what I understand - if the mercury/heavy metal has crossed the brain barrier - it can be retrieved. It just takes longer. I have some information in a book produced by a chemist that is entirely about heavy metal intoxication. If he is interested, I'll be glad to post at least the name of the publication and at most some of the names of resources in it so he can get some immediation information. I have been using a product called Porphyrazyme™. It is by Biotics Research - the bottle does not have a phone number or address on it but does have the name and city where it is produced that I will provide if desired. I was mercury toxic and on bad days my feet felt like they had electrical currents in them (in the form of needles) and were driving me crazy. (Heavy metals sink to the lowest part of the body as well) The product absolutely stops that from happening. It is a propietary blend that contains spinach concentrate & extract leaves and stems, mulberry extract, beet concentrate & extract and vegetable culture concentrate. It is the only thing that seems to have helped me in the heavy metal detox. There is help out there, just is a bit difficult to find. Have Hope! Keep digging like you are. Feel free to contact me for those resources if you want.

Another thought:

Any innoculations received since the illnesses began? Any pharmaceuticals? Any that contain flouride? Such as Baycol? Prozac?

Tried a homeopathic physician?

Beautiful house. Where is this place?

The rain standing in the pastures reminds me of Holland. Only thing missing is wind mills.

BUT: The rain shouldnt be standing on the ground like that. Why isnt it draining into the ground?

and the absence of trees makes me think this was a farmers field before the contractor planted expensive houses.

Is it a Love Canal from decades of farm chemicals?? I would be asking the soil conservation office to run soil samples also.

and yes, please keep us up to date..............! Good luck to the family.
