Alan Young aka "Wilbur." Who had a pretty extensive career, died in 2016 at 96, but was largely employed as "Scrooge McDuck" voice in post "Mr. Ed" cartoon work. One can imagine with his scot background, the voice of the tightwad duck was an easy recall.

I will say he "aged well" - unlike Bamboo Harvester who met an unkind end.

Marshall, Will, and Holly
On a routine expedition
Met the greatest earthquake ever known
High on the rapids
It struck their tiny raft
And plunged them down a thousand feet below
To the Land of the Lost (lost, lost, lost, lost, lost)

"In 1968, two years after the cancellation of Mister Ed, at the age of 19, Bamboo began to suffer from a variety of age related ailments, including kidney problems and arthritis. He was euthanized in 1970."

I'm guessing the procedure was less than humane? I'm sorry to hear this. I had no idea!:bwl:

At 19, human years is when things generally start to go "south" for equine. Although I suspect in the case of "Mr. Ed", the lack of employment (think $) and poor maintenance (equine ARE a high maintenance item) probably contributed to his demise.

Like dogs at 7 year equivalency, Owner has said equine are a 4 year equivalency.

I have heard various reports that Bamboo Harvester was "stuffed" and is associated with some shopping mall on the West Coast.

I prefer not to think about it...

He's buried in Tahlequeh, Ok. The poor horse did not have a good life and I won't watch the show anymore.
