As for that post about federal fascists, they don't know what is headed their way after the 6th.
The 100 year store officially closed on the 31st. It was on Salmon and Fourth. Just think of all the rrstaurants that lost ALL New Year's eve revenue.

I'm getting to the point where I don't care. When all of this first started, many of us viewed the lawlessness with distain in these demoncratic strongholds. But as time went by, I began to realize that the local governments were actually promoting this lawlessness and actively targeting those who came in to oppose.

At this point, I really don't care. We build prisons to keep the riff raff at bay. Portland and other demoncratic hellholes are just extensions of the prison system. At least we know where a majority of these vermin are located, fed and bred. That's good enough for me. If and when they do decide to migrate into 'Red' areas, then I'll care briefly... that is until they are directed back to their hellholes or disposed of properly.

I am, however, expecting this to begin occurring at a 'national level' if the Byden cabal ends up in the whitehouse. That will then become a horse of a different color and all bets will be off.

This guy has it all wrong. Brute force is not what’s happening. The police are treading lightly. If law enforcement used the appropriate level of force against explosive and Molotov throwing protesters, there would be a lot of dead bodies in the streets. If the judges sentenced these people just a little more appropriately, this would be over. One more thing, the protests throughout the country are not that large compared to the population of the country. This movement is not as large as he would like to think.

I had no idea that anarchy would incrementally creep into society. I always thought that it would come after a huge earthshaking event that would plunge the entire country into chaos. Never for the life of me would I have guessed that it would be allowed until the anarchist took over a city/cities and become the "new normal." This bodes ill for our future as a nation as this spreads and becomes "acceptable."

Oh I know. It's totally Bizzaro land, which is why I had a hard time deciding if I were more angry or sickened. I also agree that "the movement" is no more than a gnat on a rhino's azz, for now. But, they dream big, and own the amplifiers in the media fields, as well as the useful cannon fodder, so it'll end up being as big as they need to try to make it.

In July, Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler thought he was in control. As BLM protests raged across the country in response to the death of George Floyd, a black man who died while in police custody in late May, Wheeler decided to mingle with protesters - a mix of BLM activists and Antifa.

Yet, instead of a rockstar crowd-surfing moment or whatever fantasy he envisioned, Wheeler was mocked as he gagged on tear gas, until he was forced to flee.

Two weeks later, Wheeler had changed his tone - calling protesters who attempted to burn down a police station with people inside "attempted murderers," as the city saw its most violent month in decades - which came after the Portland City Council slashed the police budget as part of an early July push to defund the police. The move forced the city to make drastic cuts to its Gun Violence Reduction Team as lawless anarchists destroyed property throughout the city.

The loss “forced us into a position where we have to really look at what resources we can bring to bear, absent that structure that we had with the Gun Violence Reduction Team,” said Police Chief Chuck Lovell in August.

In December, Portland police were attacked in broad daylight after Antifa erected a new 'autonomous zone.' Police were seen being struck by fists, fists, and even bricks hurled through the air "in broad daylight," as the AP described further that "The violence happened in broad daylight."

In a New Year's press conference, the Portland Mayor admits that efforts to compromise with Antifa have failed, and he's now committing to pushing back - with his limited police force.
"My good faith efforts at de-escalation have been met with ongoing violence, and even scorn, from radical Antifa and anarchists," said Wheeler.

"It will be necessary to use additional tools, and to push the limits of the tools we already have, to bring the criminal destruction and violence to an end," he added. "Lawlessness and anarchy come at great expense, and with great risk to the future of our community. It's time to push back harder against those who are set on destroying our community, and to take more risks in fighting lawlessness."

Well it looks like the Salem Police are now enabling antifa and blm to attack patriots, and then arrest Patriots when they defend themselves. I was NEVER a big fan of the back the blue movement. Most of the police in Oregon's urban areas abuse their citizens by enforcing Brown's fascist covid regs and they have shown no hesitation in screwing with patriots, rather incredibly, during back the blue pro police demonstrations. You should assume many police and military will be hostile to patriots and react accordingly. they have ignored their oaths and will eventually rue that. RT is 6:28

After months of mollycoddling, Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler vowed to get tough on Antifa, whose members engage in near-nightly campaigns of mayhem, violence and destruction in the city.

“My good faith efforts at de-escalation have been met with ongoing violence and even scorn from radical Antifa and anarchists,” Wheeler said in a news conference Friday evening. “In response, it will be necessary to use additional tools and to push the limits of the tools we already have to bring the criminal destruction and violence to an end.”

“It’s time to push back harder against those who are set on destroying our community and to take more risks in fighting lawlessness,” Wheeler added.

The mayor was granted a second term by Portland voters last month, narrowly beating out an openly pro-Antifa candidate, Sarah Iannarone.

The Wheeler press conference was prompted by a New Year’s Eve riot near the Mark O. Hatfield Federal Courthouse, which has been a frequent target of the agitators.Portland’s red house ‘autonomous zone’ dismantled after mayor apologizes

“A gathering in downtown Portland has devolved into a riot. Participants have thrown multiple firebombs at officers and launched commercial-grade fireworks at the Federal Courthouse and Justice Center,” Portland police tweeted early New Year’s Day.

Throughout 2020 Antifa rioters had been given free rein in downtown Portland. The situation became so bad that President Trump briefly deployed federal troops to protect US property in the city in July.

“We are trying to help Portland, not hurt it. Their leadership has, for months, lost control of the anarchists and agitators. They are missing in action. We must protect Federal property, AND OUR PEOPLE. These were not merely protesters, these are the real deal!.” Trump said at the time.

I once saw a rat the size of a medium cat in downtown Portland a year or so ago. Me thinks it was due to all the food carts. Same thing for the crows and squirrels and other birds. Along with everything else Portland downtown sidewalks are covered with bird poop. We got a gift the last few days due to all the rain washing some of it off.

Kate brown has destroyed Oregon's economy completely with her stupid covid rules.

They tried their stunts in Reno, Nevada early in the summer, but the Reno cops are very hard-nosed, no-nonsense types (probaby from dealing with the usual debris of a casino town), and they gave Antifa short shrift. The cops closed down all the Highway 80 exits near downtown in both directions, thereby steering many of the out-of-town would-be rioters out into the hinterboonies and desert. There was one group that attacked Reno city hall and broke a lot of ground-floor windows. A few midtown businesses were vandalized, and someone used a skateboard to break some ground-floor windows at the Federal building a few blocks away. There was an ineffective attempt to target a police station. The prosecutors here went after the skateboarder who broke the Federal building windows and actually identified and extradited them from California for trial.

Notably, none of these rioters have returned to Reno. The local activists have confined themselves to "art projects" and graffiti/red paint for the most part. No riots. One window recently damaged by a pellet gun at City Hall. The California and other out-of-state vandals have stayed away from Reno. It's a hard, hard town for people like that. Hope things stay that way.
