Stunning poll reveals more than 100 million Americans expect civil war within 5 years

Division has deepened under Biden administration's radical agendas

A stunning new poll shows that more than 100 million Americans, 41% of the nation's population, believe there could be another civil war in America within the next five years.

The Rasmussen Reports document on that foreboding expectation was released on Thursday.

It said "41% of Likely U.S. voters believe the United States is likely to experience a second civil war sometime in the next five years, including 16% who consider such a scenario Very Likely."

Not even half, 49%, said they don't think it's likely.

Rasmussen said, "Such discussions got a boost after the new movie 'Civil War' made its debut as No. 1 at the box office last month. Thirty-seven percent (37%) of voters believe another civil war is more likely to happen if President Joe Biden wins this year’s election, while 25% think another civil war is more likely if former President Donald Trump wins. Thirty percent (30%) say who wins this year’s election will not make much difference in the likelihood of a civil war."

The survey of 1,105 U.S. Likely Voters was conducted on April 21-23, 2024 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.

The divide across America has exploded in the three years of Joe Biden's presidency. While he campaigned on a promise to close the divide and bring Americans together he's done exactly the opposite; spending wildly on social and environmental programs that are not supported by many Americans, pushing as top ideologies abortion and transgenderism, letting America's influence around the globe wane, and constantly attacking Christians and Republicans as possible domestic terrorists. The result is an economy that's decimating family budgets with inflation as well as near-daily revelations about his efforts to censor Americans and control what they know.

A report at the Daily Mail called it a "shock survey." And the report noted it comes "against a backdrop of mounting violence on U.S. college campuses, where pro-Palestine protestors clash with law enforcers, conservatives, some Jewish students and others."

Rasmussen warned, "The possibility that America could face another civil war soon is not too far-fetched for a lot of voters."

The report noted Louis Marinelli, founder of Yes California, which wants the Golden State's coastal area to break away, warned about a coming conflict.

"The coming American civil war will be fought between the people of this country based on ideology," he told the publication. "We have two diverging and incompatible sets of values in this country that can no longer coexist."

At Off the Press was a comment: "Republican voters were more certain that Americans would take up arms against their countrymen than did Democrats."

Couple of interesting points in that article.

First, according to the poll more people believe CW will break out if Biden wins than if Trump wins. 37% vs. 25%? Even if the margin of error is worked from both sides towards the middle that is a significant difference. But according to MSM Trump is the one who take us down a dark path? From what I am discerning out there people expect the worst if Biden wins because he will allow it - just as we are seeing now - and not because Trump would direct his minions to take up arms and fight the Libs if he loses.

The thought by more Republicans than Democrats that Americans would take up arms against each other? They are right. The Dems don't see it yet to any serious degree but they - that is Americans - are already. These 'protests' we are seeing are nothing less than the taking up of arms against our fellow countrymen and -women. It simply has not devolved into actual firearms and explosives. Yet. Someone on the 'tube espoused yesterday that the current protests are just practice sessions for November, regardless of who wins. The more I think about it the more I agree. There is a plan that the useful idiots are not aware of, but are actively participating in.

Consider some of the scenes we saw today; students using Rubbermaid garbage cans sectioned into improvised shields actively charging police officers. That is not peaceful protest. Do they need to be swinging fantasy swords as they charge to make it official?

We know with certainty that there are professional riot organizers (just calling them what they are) who have been seen time and again the past few years actually instructing people how to behave. These are not grass roots protests. They are organized and well funded.

I am glad we live where we do but I also wish we were more remote than we are. And had a better mutual support network locally.

I don't think there will ever be another Civil War in America.
I do expect some kind of internal war here. That will happen one day after our government shuts off the money they are giving to all of our wonderful "immigrants".
Or if our stupid government goes to war with Russia or China, their agents that are already in place here will do tremendous damage to our country. Enough damage so millions of the "immigrants" will will attack Americans. That will turn into all-out war inside our nation.

I would say it would make a huge difference. Consider if Trump wins, and gives official sanction to one side fighting. How many more would take up arms against the liberals with that backing them?

The war has already started. We will continue to lose this war until we wake up to that reality. The current phase has been going on for decades. The current phase is recruitment using existing educational institutions, mass media, dumbing down the citizenry, buying American resources, manufacturing, agricultural lands, housing, political power, and the importation of additional soldiers across open borders. The current phase is positioning of forces while weakening America financially, militarily, and morally. The current phase is quiet and only sporadically kinetic. It is possible that the war will be “won” without the need to go full kinetic. Those with eyes to see and ears to hear know that the enemies of this country are already running this country.

A key point as well is that this survey was done of "likely voters" not whomever happened to speak with a pollster.

That being said, I have to wonder what the number of unlikely voters were and what how they answered, as well as why they weren't "active voters"?

I don't think there will ever be another Civil War in America.

As has been all but definitively proven over the last 50 years, it matters not what any percentage of Americans “think”, especially as pertains to definitive action.

Americans have become so numb to the history of reality and the core nature of man’s purpose/duty on earth, the power of group think in the cosmos has been stripped from them.

Quite frankly, I take comfort in that.

As a mob who has conducted itself as a democracy for well over a century, all the while shouting “republic, republic!!”, I wouldn’t wish the emo/political sentiments of the American public on my worst enemy.

i think probably less like civil war, because that would require . . . organization and leadership.
the future will be more like herding cats . . . needy, mentally ill, narcissistic, gender confused cats that self identify as dolphins.

it'll just be anarchy. remember to buy treats.
Dolphins like the fish.

The most effective way for a government to manage and control its population is for that populous to become dependent on them providing the necessities of life.

As the US continues to change in overall demographics one can't help think as America becomes more like Brazil as its citizens become more state dependent in those necessities while the wealthy few in protected armed gated communities and the general population ending up living in shanty towns.

I doubt there will ever be a civil war in the future..............the founding European stock of ancestry are an aging demographic either physically limited in that capacity and or soon enough gone.

When you consider that under the age of 6 years old that Whites are only 22% of the US population you should know where we are headed.............and it isn't' going to be any Thomas Jefferson "pruning the tree of liberty" movements anymore with a growing majority of demographic of non White people who have been conditioned to see Whites as historical slave owners and/or invaders of indigenous people of color.

All wars are like you describe. WW1 started with the murder of a Duke? Nope!! It started decades before, it was the murder of the Duke that got things hot.

What we are discussing is things going hot. There is a difference

Right now, it is just positioning like you said.....

I think the influx of terrorists and illegals are going to be the turning point eventually … soon. The drain on our tax dollars, social structure, schools, housing, medical …. that will be evident. The true American way of life will be gone to support the trash. Your money going to support the overthrow of America, less for you … more for them.

They will start crap just like they have in every other country they’ve invaded, beatings, rapes, killings, etc. Demanding housing and food and the right to vote. And they will get it.

Then you have the Hamas supporters wanting change, demanding it, with support from freaks in government. We are in for a summer of hell with them. Especially when school gets out.

All the BLM’ers and Antifa waiting for another calling … or joining the Hammas freaks. Another black killed by police should work.

And don’t forget about the rainbow unicorn freaks. The mentally ill who are in your face and your kids indoctrination. The government laughs at you while they make it easier to take over your kids life’s. Many of them belonging to the Antifa brigade. Anarchist just looking for a excuse to rage.

Ask yourself … who is behind this. UN, Soros, WHO, FJB, Deep state, Alphabets, etc. I’m sure you can add a few.

They want to fracture us up into multiple groups. So it won’t be one side against the other. Not a civil war in the way we would imagine. It will be destruction of the USA. This is the goal. Takeover.

That is a scary number about the 6 year olds. Hoping for balkanization, Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Florida, could all just about feed and take care of themselves. Oil and gas out of Texas, as well as beef. Arkansa is one of the largest rice producers in the world, and cotton. Florida grows everything, including a lot of citrus. Would it be rough? of course, but it is doable.

Sooth, you have it my friend, but I have a couple of ideas to add. The first is the 'reality' of which you speak. I would add that the reality in which we live is one created by all of the above you have mentioned, what we need to do is attempt to wade through all the noise and sort out the signal and I am thankful for many here who are very adept at doing just that. We MUST find the actuality in the midst of said noise.

The other root cause is morality. This is the primary objective of the Marxist takeover. We must look in retrospect over 50 years to see the beginning of this compromise. The pulpits of this nation were taken over by the progressives and has developed exponentially since. With the churches in every community compromised, and hirelings preaching, the social gospel our nation began to walk away. This evolved into the depravity we witness today across this once great nation. While I am totally on board with the conservative bent this nation is undergoing unless we, as a nation, experience spiritual revival we are lost. This civil war rhetoric will continue until we cease to be viable as a sovereign nation. I might ad here we are very close to this right now.

Finally not a lurker!
I foresee a multi-faceted, simultaneous batch of 'civil wars', more along the lines of large-scale, multi-day riots; illegals vs home-grown minorities, legals who can't find jobs vs. illegals at the local gathering points, people of any description being told 'there's no more food' after waiting in line for hours, Hamas being opposed...a great many confrontations, no 'rear areas', no way to take or hold ground, all leading to a slow slide creating massive supply-chain disruptions. Will our enemies be able to take advantage of this, or will they have problems of their own?
