Many of you put in a preorder of these very serious slingbows from Yshoot:

If you did, I have adjusted the available inventory numbers in our system to accommodate you--we are ready to ship these kits out as soon as we receive payment.

So whether you preordered or not, we have plenty ... please go ahead and place your order at the listing page linked above.

These are excellent tools/toys for responsible adults ... and make awesome gifts. Check out the videos at the linked page.

The rubber bands on slingshots, seems to become brittle and fail at less than a year.
Would the same thing happen with the Slingbow?

Is there a way to protect the slingshot?
It usually stays in the van, year round...

Slingshots and sling bow bands do deteriorate over time. The two main factors are light and oxygen.

They also are subject to temperature extremes such as high heat and how much they are used and how far they are stretched, etc.

I have heard from those who are hardcore slingshotters that ArmorAll is probably the best product out there to treat your bands/tubes with to extend the longevity of your bands. They also say storing your slingshot band/tube in a ziplock mylar bag and maybe even pop a dessicant inside, and that will maximize the shelf life of your band/tube.

Eventually, you will want to replace your bands to keep your slingshot band fresh and strong and capable. We plan to have replacement bands in stock in the near future.

Actually the shipment just came in. We are right now counting out what we have and matching them up to preorders.

Wish I could-been wanting a SB for a couple of years but have not been able to scratch the funds for a basic slingshot to build one.

That said there are a ton of Youtube vids on SB's and folks should go watch and learn. There are better bands that last longer and give better power to the arrow than the standard SS bands too.

Well--here's the situation on inventory. We are good to go on the Sling Bow kits.

As for the Walking Stick Bow kits--we have just enough to fill most of our preorders. (One customer short, I'm afraid.)

But we do expect the rest of our order in now in about 10-14 days. We are allowing folks to make purchases for the walking sticks now, so you can get in the queue for that next shipment. They may very well get scooped up quickly.

Thanks for the insight on care and feeding, as well as the tip on ArmorAll. Haven't used that stuff in years.

One of these days, I'll find the time research the better bands.

Can you accept prepaid debit cards that are not registered?
I've asked that question of others and they always provide a non-answer answer, which is a 'no' answer.

I don't know the answer to that. I don't even know what an unregistered debit card is, I guess. What I can say is that you can try your card in the checkout. Some debit cards work, some don't. If it is declined thru our card processor Authorize.net, you can try using it thru the Paypal option using the same card. They seem to be be a bit more broadly accepting.

As for the band/tube on this slingshot, it is 17/45 ... multipurpose, the most powerful tube Yshoot offers--appropriate for both target shooting and hunting.

I get the OneVanilla prepaid card from Walmart. There is a $500 limit on the card.

It does not have my name attached to it.
Many Vendors require the name registered to the card, so I can't do business with them.

I can use it in brick & mortar sites, sometimes as a debit card requiring a pin, other times as a credit card with no pin required.
