The NOLA Hotel Evictions Thread lead me to ask some questions about SHTF Charity.

All Preppers here seem to be able to sort out the riff raff from the truely needy. So.....in a SHTF scenario what are your "charity" plans.

My DW and I have always done our part for those truely in need. At the same time we have no problem stepping over the drug addict, wino bums when we see them in the cities we visit. Never lost a minutes sleep passing those losers by.

However, we do our part by adopting old timers, vets, etc. in our little Mayberry Burg and do stuff like take them meals, plow their driveways, take them to the doctor, etc. I am sure many of you do the same.

So.....SHTF......you have preps and your local charity is screwed. Do you have any plans to help those who are really in need?

If hungry and not threatening, they would be left some 2 Liter plastic soda bottle's fileld with rice and beans, or some canned food, FROM A DISTANCE, then a "be on your way and you are not to come back".

There's a big difference between prepping and surviving.

If I think they are worthy then we'd do what we could when we could. That's about as specific as I can be.
