Despite the MSM trying to portray a pivot in public, they are still entirely the propoganda arm of the state. So I assume what they print serves their masters' goals. Thus it may be more likely this is printed in order to sew division and suspicion between Moscow and it's allies, seeding doubts that they're completely in the loop

Update: The American side asked the Russian side not to publish its response to security assurance projects. (Washington Post). WP also says America will reject some demands but will include a private detailed letter to President Putin.
Whatever is in this letter the U.S. is asking Russia to keep out of the media.

However, this "source" pegged the Russian Baltic Sea convoy before anybody else. He pegged it breaching the English channel, and now being watched by the French Navy. The real kaboom will be what happens when Turkey does, or doesn't, grant it access to the Black Sea.

He pegged the Russian trains going to BOTH BELARUS AND KAZZYSTAN before anybody else. He pegged tbe 1000 tanks going from the Greek port, although I'm not sure what happened with them.:popcorn1:

If the plane was shot down, we will know soon enough. Actually he said "vanished off of radar". The shot down was even more speculation from another source. Again, we shall see.

In my personal opinion, when the Russians have everything in place, they will make their move. The talks will continue but are no longer relevant. The Olympics are probably irrelevant to the timing. For the element of surprise, it is best to make a move before it is expected, hence the likely lack of relation to either the talks or the Olympics, which have a set schedule.

Not one of the issues important to Russia have been addressed in the ongoing talks. They are just meant for delay and for show. The more time that goes by, the more armaments and "advisors" that are being shipped to Ukraine, making it a tougher target. Hence, there is increasing disadvantage for any delays by Russia.

The current evacuation of embassies seems particularly telling. Trouble is expected very soon, by those who should know.

The list of equipment we would expect to see used if Russia was going to escalate that we haven't seen is growing pretty short. S-300V4 systems, 2S4 Tyulpan 240mm mortars, certain army or district-level EW and C2 systems. But most of the equipment is near Ukraine or on the move.

Some of the equipment currently being transferred is more of a deterrent against NATO than to be used against Ukraine. I would expect Russian Navy and Air Force exercises/deployments before an escalation in Ukraine to deter NATO from getting involved.

I think Biden is going to give away the store to try to stop Putin. And that's what in the 'super secret letter' he's going to deliver to him. Putin will reveal the letter and make Biden and co look like fools on the world stage. And then withdraw. He'll get what he wants and he'll rub Biden's face in it.

If Biden does not give away the store - ie: if I'm wrong about what's in the letter - then I expect war within the next 2 weeks. I think we will cyber attacks in the USA but I think Putin will not take down the internet because the internet is and has been his number one weapon against the USA since social media became a thing. His bot farms are responsible for so much of the discord in the USA right now he's not going to take it out of play when it's working so well for him. He will ramp up his bot farm activity and have people in the USA, especially those under 35 who have no real grasp of history, siding with him by the time he's done with his seeding the anti-US sentiment in all discussions.

U.S. military aid to help Ukraine defend against a possible invasion by Russia began arriving on Friday night, according to the American Embassy in Kyiv.

The embassy, in a Twitter post, said the material “includes close to 200,000 pounds of lethal aid, including ammunition for the front line defenders of Ukraine.”

“The shipment - and $2.7 billion USD since 2014 - demonstrates U.S. commitment to helping Ukraine bolster its defenses in the face of growing Russian aggression,” the embassy said in another tweet.

Photos with the tweets showed large green containers being unloaded at an airport. The embassy did not elaborate, or indicate what else was included, but said it was a first shipment of “assistance recently directed by” President Joe Biden.

The announcement was made at the end of an anxious week in which an assault on Ukraine by Russia seemed more likely. A meeting in Geneva led by Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov didn’t yield an agreement, though both sides agreed to continue talks.

“If Russia wants to begin to convince the world that it has no aggressive intent toward Ukraine, a very good place to start would be de-escalating,” Blinken said Friday at the end of a three-day European trip.

Russia has assembled a large armed force on its border with Ukraine and sent troops and armor to Belarus, to Ukraine’s north, for joint military drills scheduled to begin Feb. 10.

Putin has demanded security guarantees that would prevent Ukraine from ever joining the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and require the alliance to roll back its forces to positions they held in 1997, before Central and Eastern European nations joined NATO.

The U.S. and its NATO allies have rejected those demands. Putin has said he has no plans to invade Ukraine.

Biden plans to meet with his national security team over the weekend at the presidential retreat at Camp David, in Maryland. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Friday that “we didn’t expect any breakthroughs to happen today, but we are on a clearer path in terms of understanding each other’s concerns.”

MOSCOW, January 23. /TASS/. A Bloomberg publication that Chinese President Xi Jinping allegedly asked Russian President Vladimir Putin not to invade Ukraine during the Olympic Games in Beijing is a hoax and provocation, China’s embassy in Russia told TASS on Saturday.

"A Bloomberg publication that the Chinese President asked the Russian President not to invade Ukraine during the Olympics in order not to spoil the event is a hoax and provocation," the embassy said in a statement.
The embassy added that China’s position on the Ukrainian issue is consistent and clear.
"The Chinese side advocates resolving differences by means of dialogue and consultations in the framework of the Minsk agreements," the Chinese diplomatic mission said.

Earlier Bloomberg reported referring to a diplomat in Beijing that Xi Jinping could ask Putin not to invade Ukraine during the Games that will be held in China from February 4 to 20.
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the publication "a special information operation by US respective agencies." She did not rule out provocations from the United States and the US-led Kiev regime, including military provocations.

We are all summing that the Russians first play will be an invasion of the Ukraine? What if the first play is a move against the Baltic States. The Baltic states will need their own weapons first.

Nothing strange is going on. It isnt a US Military plane. It is a civilian cargo plane that was hired by TRANSCOM to make a run. They do it all the time. Go look at the plane's actually flight history and you will see that it runs a predominately Pacific route. China to the US. Korea to the US.
