History repeats itself. How tough was the US at the start of WWI & WWII? About the same as they are now. Beware...

WWI: "In August 1914, President Woodrow Wilson asked Americans to remain impartial in thought and deed toward the war that had just broken out in Europe. Wilson wanted the United States to exemplify the democratic commitment to peace, but "The Great War" continually challenged the nation's neutrality. American farms and factories fed and armed Europe's armies; both the Allied and Central powers violated international laws governing ocean travel and shipping. For almost three years, the President presided over a difficult, deteriorating neutrality, until finally the provocations could no longer be ignored or negotiated."

Lesson 3: Wilson and American Entry into World War I

WWII: "Speaking to the county in person and via his fireside chats, he said that the United States did not want to send its boys to fight in any European conflict. The president’s rhetoric was for public consumption only. In private, he was doing everything possible to join the struggle against Hitler, thus undermining the policy of neutrality that America had espoused since the beginning of the war.

How Franklin D. Roosevelt Prepared the U.S. for World War II

All of our industrial capacity has been outsourced to china.

Are you sure about that?
I do not believe WW3 will allow time to spin up industrial capacity.

I agree with the other poster who stated this is the left's war, let the woketards fight it.

Well, depending on the type and magnitude of strikes made and received, that may be a moot point. If WWIII is mostly conventional, we could spin up a lot very quickly. It would be under a demand economy as in WWII, but we could do it.

My one concern is what if the Ukraine does a Biden and does something stupid. What if they attack first? Things are more or less stable at the moment, but what happens if they launch an assault first. They could find out NATO's check is gonna bounce.

That was a mistake. Does Putin deserve respect? Yes.

Is Crimea never coming back as Ukraine territory? Never say never, and when the stated goals of your leadership is to attempt precisely that, or at least keep Ukraine from losing MORE territory, then you don't say things like that. Especially when both sides are gearing up to fight and WWIII is literally drooling on our doorstep. That was an opinion that should have been locked away inside the Vice Admiral's noggin.

It would also slow or stop all that hardware from flowing in. They have to play the victim of Putin aggression.

That doesn't count out a FF though...

I wonder what Putin would do if we started invading the Eastern part of Russia once he invades Ukraine? He has no military left over there. Would be easy pickens.

Meanwhile in the demo controlled Pentagon they are trying to determine the exact sexual and racial makeup of the special forces who may have to help evacuate the embassy. There is a serious problem that the number of trans is too low and they may have to re-classify some of the Pentagon desk jockies as special forces to have the appropriate diversity.

Our ocean buffer protected us in WWII. We rolled tanks and bombers off the assembly line unobstructed every few minutes.....nobody is going to allow that to ever happen again in a global conflict. Our factories will resemble the Reich's. ... bombed regularly into rubble.

We would need to intern La Raza, Nation of Islam, Antifa and dozens of other bands of malcontents. The Mexican border would need to look like the Korean DMZ to stop the influx of enemy actors.

We all know these things won't happen. The Sodomites in DC will focus on ex military white guys like me that pose no real threat and just want to be left alone. They will follow Hitler's stupidity of letting the troops on the front go without while the trains take the persecuted to the camps.

Perhaps the vice-admiral believes returning the crimea to ukraine is not worth losing german lives over.

Perhaps he should discuss that with his superiors then, instead of disputing policy in public. Capisce?
He may have which led to his public statement. Or it could have been a setup. We will never know.
Resigning then speaking one's mind would be the proper from.
