Herpes infections may be a side effect of a COVID-19 vaccine, experts have revealed.
Scientists in Israel identified six cases in a new study of patients developing a skin rash known as herpes zoster — or shingles — after receiving the Pfizer vaccine, according to a study in the Rheumatology journal.
Herpes zoster starts off as a small, itchy skin rash, but if left untreated, it could cause nerve damage and pain, the Jerusalem Post reported.
This can include a prolonged burning sensation on the skin even after the rash disappears.
Researchers from Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center and Carmel Medical Center in Haifa found those with autoimmune inflammatory rheumatic diseases had a higher risk of developing the herpes infection.

Out of 491 patients, six people or 1.2 percent experienced the infection, researchers said.
The six patients all have mild cases of autoimmune inflammatory rheumatic diseases and were young, though the infection is generally more common in those over the age of 50.

“That is why we reported on it,” Dr. Victoria Furer, the lead author, told the outlet.
Five of them developed herpes zoster after the first dose and the sixth got it after the second.
But it’s still unclear whether the vaccine caused the cases of herpes zoster.
“We cannot say the vaccine is the cause at this point,” Furer told the outlet. “We can say it might be a trigger in some patients.”

Furer said further research is necessary and one implication could be that patients with autoimmune inflammatory rheumatic diseases be encouraged to get vaccinated against herpes zoster before getting their COVID-19 shot.
“We should not scare people,” she told the Jerusalem Post. “The overall message is to get vaccinated. It is just important to be aware.”

My brother in law got shingles after the 2nd shot, not sure if it was Moderna or Pfitzer.
I am laughing my ass off at all the anti vax hysteria.

NO bad reactions beyond a sore arm. No missed work days and no hysteria like here on this board.

A healthy 33-year-old woman in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, who asked to remain anonymous, experienced paralysis 12 hours after getting her first dose of the Pfizer COVID vaccine and is still hospitalized, WPXI-TV reported.
The Pennsylvania woman said she initially felt fine after being vaccinated, but woke up in the middle of the night with no feeling in her arms or legs.
“It was the scariest thing in the world to go to sleep completely fine (and walking), to wake up 1:30 in the morning and not be able to move at all,” the woman said. “I’m literally counting on my daughter to hand me my phone to call to get help.”
Paramedics rushed her to the hospital where she was later transferred to the Cleveland Clinic where doctors ran tests to figure out how and why she suffered paralysis. An MRI and spinal tap were clear and blood work all came back negative, ruling out any rare diseases or disorders.
“There is just nothing they can find wrong with me,” the woman told Channel 11. “No underlying conditions, I have nothing in my history and they are basically telling me, ‘You’re healthy and we can’t figure out why this is going on.’”
Although she has regained feeling and strength in her arms, she has no function from her lower chest down besides very slight movement in a few toes. The woman’s family confirmed with Channel 11 that her case was reported to Pfizer.

Dr. Dave Weber, an infectious disease doctor with University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, said he has not heard of anything like this happening anywhere in the world with the Pfizer vaccine.
“I’m sure there is more than one explanation, and it would be premature for me to judge if it’s one of the side effects of the vaccine or not,” Weber said. “I think it definitely needs to be looked into and be reported.”
In a statement provided to Channel 11 News, Pfizer’s director of global media relations said:
“We take adverse events that are potentially associated with our COVID-19 vaccine, BNT162b2, very seriously. We closely monitor all such events and collect relevant information to share with global regulatory authorities. At this time, our ongoing review has not identified any safety signals with paralysis and the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine. To date, more than 2001 million people around the world have been vaccinated with our vaccine. It is important to note that serious adverse events that are unrelated to the vaccine are unfortunately likely to occur at a similar rate as they would in the general population.”
However, a search on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) for paralysis, including transverse myelitis, myelitis, paralysis and Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS), yielded 151 total reports. Eighty-eight cases of paralysis-related disorders were reported with Pfizer, 62 with Moderna and 11 with Johnson & Johnson’s (J&J) vaccine.

Last I heard, no one was forcing you to get any vaccine.

The people who take the "jab" are typically much more fearful of Covid 19 and/or the government, their employers, and their peers than those who don't. Some, like those who have serious existing health issues, have good reasons to take it.
And many have shamefully politicized and are taking the "jab" to virtue signal, to go along to get along, and/or indicate support for an authoritarian government that is completely out of control.
For those of us who have bothered to seriously study the issue--and don't blindly embrace the govt/media narrative--fear has nothing to do with accepting or rejecting the Covid19 "shot". I have taken vaccines many times in the past. But the current "jabs" are emphatically not traditional vaccines. And it remains to be seen what long term health impacts it may or may not have on those who take it.
As the VAERS report below indicates , there are tens of thousand of good reasons to question the wisdom of taking an experimental shot that won't even finish trials until 2023. And these stats from a couple weeks ago are just from the USA. More people have died in the last few months from taking the "shot" than have been cumulatively recorded in the entire history of reporting adverse vaccination events.

Vaccine did not work for you, but the rest of us happy goofs are just fine for the moment. They think so clever making it out that people are sick or dead from their so called vaccine, no connection, just a coincidence, going to die anyway or be paralyzed. Happens to people all the time. I've quit trying to educate people here who don't want to know how or why the vaccines work and have decided to leave them to their fate.
Even someone as bullheaded as Trump sure jumped at the chance to get the latest "experimental" antibody treatment once he got sick. Notice he didn't put his faith in hydroxy or ivermectin when the shit hit the fan for him. He opted to go with the scientists he used to criticize.
He also decided to get the vaccine before he left the white house.
Understand that I have nothing against you or anyone else here. I tried to educate people who have not the faintest clue how the vaccines work, but they didn't want to hear it. That's fine. I did my Christian duty, I have no regrets.
So please excuse me if instead of posting over and over how the vaccines actually work, I just stick to sarcastic comments about people's foolishness.
They are not much different that the sarcastic comments most of the people here are making against the vaccines and people who decide to get them.

Being cautious of the things that we put into the body that we were given is just being a good steward
of the "container" in which our spirit-man dwells. If you believe this or not, matters not to me.
The works done to and in this body will be held into account when we stand before Our Creator.
I think what bothers me the most about this whole situation is that instead of trusting in the basics of maintaining a healthy body ,(good diet, plenty of rest, exercise, vitamins, praying for health and wisdom) my fellow countrymen are willing to place their future health and well-being in the hands of liars, cheats, and thieves and that is a fact.
Hesitancy does not equal fear...it shows logic, reason and good common sense in a day and age where truth is a very difficult commodity to find.

Anyway, yep, the gov is trying to get people to receive the vaccine, but for people that live and exist only for conspiracies, that action has the opposite effect. Trying to convince a conspiracy nut to do something is a fools errand. Tell them not to do it might be the only way to get them to do it.
Another thing is that most of the members here live in the country and have minimal close interactions with others so their chances of getting covid are pretty small and they'll be just fine, until one day they're not. Hopefully that day won't come.

In reality, you don't know what I know about cellular biology, how the vaccines work, and/ or what I've read or haven't read. Don't lump us all in as being fearful. I won't get the vax but I'm not in anyway fearful about it. My eternal security is in Gods hands and if I have to die now I'm prepared.

Inspired by a parasitic worm that digs its sharp teeth into the intestines of its host, Johns Hopkins researchers have developed tiny, star-shaped micro-devices that attach to the intestinal mucosa and can deliver drugs into the body.
These tiny devices, known as “Theragrippers,” are made of metal and a thin film that changes shape. They are covered with heat-sensitive kerosene wax and each no larger than a dust particle. (See Figure 1)
When the kerosene coating on the Theragripper reaches body temperature, the devices close autonomously and clamp onto the wall of the colon. Because of the sealing action, the tiny, six-pointed devices burrow into the mucosa and attach to the colon, where they are held and gradually release their drug load to the body. Eventually, the Theragripper lose their grip on the tissue and are removed from the colon through normal gastrointestinal muscle function.

It is falsely called a vaccine to hide the fact that the purported vaccine is, in fact, a gene therapy. Experienced physician and epidemiologist, Dr. Wolfgang Wodarg, stated in a censored interview with Rubikon, “Actually, this ‘promising’ vaccine should be PROHIBITED for the vast majority of people because it is genetic engineering!” Mary Holland, Vice President and Chief Advocate of the Children’s Health Defense Organization, warns, “New vaccine technologies will likely lead to new types of vaccine harms. Since there has never been an approved mRNA vaccine, we really don’t know what such damage will look like. According to an Article published in the British science journal Phys.org in January 2020 [13], it is confirmed that modified RNA has a direct impact on our DNA. The following passage is particularly alarming: “Several research groups are now working together to investigate what effect this may have on the DNA molecule. We already know that R-loop regions are associated with DNA sequences that contain active genes, and that this can lead to chromosome breaks and the loss of genetic information.”
Also alarming is the fact that leading vaccine manufacturers such as Pfizer are warning their subjects not to reproduce after vaccination (see Pfizer, p. 132) [14 PDF] By doing so, the pharmaceutical company is confirming that the mRNA vaccine can have negative effects on human reproduction and is being vaccinated in spite of it!
Conclusion: Anyone who knows a little history knows that genetic experimentation and human experimentation are nothing new. Although modern eugenics has its origins in the 19th century, the ideas, measures and justifications of state and social interventions and influences on reproduction have been known since ancient times. They can already be found in Plato’s “Politeia,” which, however, is limited to state selection and education. Moderna’s Top Scientist: ‘We Are Actually Hacking The Software Of Life’
Pure and simple, this is unvarnished, raw Transhumanism. Moderna CEO says mRNA shots are “rewriting the Genetic Code.” He calls it “information therapy”, and says “We are actually hacking the software of life.”This should be a red alert for every rational American.
Transhumanism is a twisted philosophy that believes in the use of high technology to transform humans into immortal beings. That is, escaping death and living forever. Furthermore, they seek to use genetic engineering to create a new master race of sorts, that will shed all of the “unseemly” characteristics of humans. In just a few short years, Transhumanism has smothered the world against its will and without its consent. Billions of people will be injected with mRNA gene therapy concoctions that will permanently change a persons genetic makeup. ⁃ TN Editor
Dr. Tal Zaks, the chief medical officer at Moderna Inc., explained in a 2017 TED talk how the company’s mRNA vaccine was designed to work.
Over the last 30 years, he said, “we’ve been living this phenomenal digital scientific revolution, and I’m here today to tell you, that we are actually hacking the software of life, and that it’s changing the way we think about prevention and treatment of disease.”
He went on to explain [see video below] that the human body is made up of organs and organs are made up of cells.
“In every cell there’s this thing called messenger RNA or mRNA for short, that transmits the critical information from the DNA in our genes to the protein, which is really the stuff we’re all made out of. This is the critical information that determines what the cell will do. So we think about it as an operating system.
“So if you could change that, if you could introduce a line of code, or change a line of code, it turns out, that has profound implications for everything, from the flu to cancer.”
I reported on Feb. 4 that Moderna describes its new vaccine as “a computer operating system” but I was not aware at that time that Zaks had spoken three years ago about this, totally debunking the establishment media’s lie that mRNA vaccines don’t alter your genetic code.
He could not be more clear when he said “We are actually hacking the software of life.”
Zaks stressed that in 2017 his company was working on a vaccine that would not act like any previous vaccine ever created.
“Imagine if instead of giving [the patient] the protein of a virus, we gave them the instructions on how to make the protein, how the body can make its own vaccine,” he said.
Zaks said it took decades to sequence the human genome, which was accomplished in 2003, “And now we can do it in a week.”
He proceeded to reveal, in 2017, his company’s plans to make individual cancer vaccines, tailored to the needs of individual cancer patients, “because every cancer is different.”
Interestingly, one of the most potentially catastrophic side effects of the mRNA vaccine is its interaction with cancer cells. According to a study at New York City-based Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, the mRNA has a tendency to inactivate tumor-suppressing proteins, meaning it can promote the growth of cancer cells.
Both the Moderna and Pfizer injections are experimental mRNA vaccines. The FDA has only granted these injections Emergency Use Authorization [EUA] and they will remain in trials through 2023, yet the government, media and corporations are all promoting them as though they are guaranteed safe.
This systemic deception will, in my opinion, end up being judged in the rear-view mirror of history as one of the most reckless acts of medical treachery ever committed against the human race.
If this so-called vaccine does cause more people to get cancer, think of the possibilities from a purely business point of view.
Based on the predictions of Dr. Zaks, who oversaw the creation of the vaccine now being given to millions of people worldwide, the same Big Pharma companies that could potentially give people cancer with one vaccine could step forward later with another vaccine offering the cure for cancer. If you are the CEO of a mega pharmaceutical who answers to profit-driven Wall Street shareholders, that’s a brilliant strategy!
But is it ethical from a medical point of view? That’s a question nobody is asking.
As I listen to Dr. Zaks lay out the achievements of his company in creating the mRNA vaccine, I cannot help but think of how incredibly arrogant it sounds. That scientists think they can rewrite the genetic code [his words not mine for all you out there who still don’t believe these mRNA vaccines change the genetic code just because some ‘fact checker’ says they don’t], believing they can improve on a person’s God-given genetic makeup is entering dangerous territory. Who’s to say they won’t correct one problem and create something far worse?
Zaks wrapped up his 2017 speech with the following words.
“If you think about what it is we’re trying to do. We’ve taken information and our understanding of that information and how that information is transmitted in a cell, and we’ve taken our understanding of medicine and how to make drugs, and we’re fusing the two. We think of it as information therapy.”
Information therapy. Just like a computer software code.
These scientists truly believe that the human body is nothing more than a machine that can be hacked into and reordered according to some programmer’s instructions.
The same ground-breaking nature of this research that excites some, is what horrifies others.
A person’s genetic makeup is, as Dr. Zak said, “the software of life.”
If this is true, then who should be the ultimate authority over each human being’s genetic software code? If we truly live in a free society, wouldn’t it stand to reason that we would want to have an energetic debate over how to answer that question? Shouldn’t it be the number-one issue being debated in Congress and the media? Instead, nobody is allowed to even ask these questions without being threatened, censored, rebuked, deplatformed. Members of the corporate media who dare broach the question get fired.
Contrary to what some scientists believe, we are not machines. We are human beings with bodies, souls and free wills. Anyone who tries to mandate the acceptance of an experimental gene-altering treatment is going against the international Nuremberg Codes, which require informed consent of any experimental treatment.

If this so-called vaccine does cause more people to get cancer, think of the possibilities from a purely business point of view.
Based on the predictions of Dr. Zaks, who oversaw the creation of the vaccine now being given to millions of people worldwide, the same Big Pharma companies that could potentially give people cancer with one vaccine could step forward later with another vaccine offering the cure for cancer. If you are the CEO of a mega pharmaceutical who answers to profit-driven Wall Street shareholders, that’s a brilliant strategy!
But is it ethical from a medical point of view? That’s a question nobody is asking.
As I listen to Dr. Zaks lay out the achievements of his company in creating the mRNA vaccine, I cannot help but think of how incredibly arrogant it sounds. That scientists think they can rewrite the genetic code [his words not mine for all you out there who still don’t believe these mRNA vaccines change the genetic code just because some ‘fact checker’ says they don’t], believing they can improve on a person’s God-given genetic makeup is entering dangerous territory. Who’s to say they won’t correct one problem and create something far worse?
Zaks wrapped up his 2017 speech with the following words.
“If you think about what it is we’re trying to do. We’ve taken information and our understanding of that information and how that information is transmitted in a cell, and we’ve taken our understanding of medicine and how to make drugs, and we’re fusing the two. We think of it as information therapy.”
Information therapy. Just like a computer software code.
These scientists truly believe that the human body is nothing more than a machine that can be hacked into and reordered according to some programmer’s instructions.
The same ground-breaking nature of this research that excites some, is what horrifies others.
A person’s genetic makeup is, as Dr. Zak said, “the software of life.”
If this is true, then who should be the ultimate authority over each human being’s genetic software code? If we truly live in a free society, wouldn’t it stand to reason that we would want to have an energetic debate over how to answer that question? Shouldn’t it be the number-one issue being debated in Congress and the media? Instead, nobody is allowed to even ask these questions without being threatened, censored, rebuked, deplatformed. Members of the corporate media who dare broach the question get fired.
Contrary to what some scientists believe, we are not machines. We are human beings with bodies, souls and free wills. Anyone who tries to mandate the acceptance of an experimental gene-altering treatment is going against the international Nuremberg Codes, which require informed consent of any experimental treatment.

Merck Scraps COVID Vaccines; Says It’s More Effective To Get The Virus And Recover
Shots generated an ‘inferior’ immune system response in comparison with natural infection
Vaccine manufacturer Merck has abandoned development of two coronavirus vaccines, saying that after extensive research it was concluded that the shots offered less protection than just contracting the virus itself and developing antibodies.
The company announced that the shots V590 and V591 were ‘well tolerated’ by test patients, however they generated an ‘inferior’ immune system response in comparison with natural infection.
The company stated that instead it will focus on research into therapeutic drugs labeled as MK-7110 and MK-4482.
The drugs aim to protect patients from the damage of an overactive immune response to the virus.
“Interim results from a Phase 3 study showed a greater than 50 percent reduction in the risk of death or respiratory failure in patients hospitalized with moderate to severe COVID-19,” the company’s statement noted of the MK-7110 drug.
Merck is to receive around $356 million from the US government to fast-track production of the potential treatments under Operation Warp Speed.
Chief Marketing Officer Michael Nally recently told Bloomberg that Merck is aiming to produce some 20 million courses of the MK-4482 drug, an oral antiviral which patients will take twice a day for five days.
Meanwhile, in related news, German scientists have claimed that the UK Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine is less than 8% effective in over 65s, prompting the vaccine developers to hit back, rubbishing the claims.
The German media published the claims, alleging it had been ‘confirmed’ by ‘multiple’ unnamed senior German government sources.
UK government ministers have suggested that the claim could be related to the ongoing dispute over delivery of the vaccine between the European Union and AstraZeneca.
The EU, which is yet to approve the vaccine, has threatened to block exports of shots to Britain, in a move that has been branded ‘spiteful’ by British government sources.
In an effort to make sure its member states get their ‘fair share’ of vaccines, the EU has also threatened to block the delivery of Pfizer vaccines to the UK, demanding that drug companies provide detailed information on when they plan to export Covid jabs to countries outside the bloc.

My sister is seeing an Ophthalmologist this afternoon.
3 days after her Vax - Pfizer - she woke up with her vision impaired in her left eye.
Also her legs were swollen (calf are) and veins inflamed.
She went to the doctor. He said he couldn't do anything about her legs; maybe elevate them.
And gave her a script to see the eye specialist. She's waited 3 weeks.

A friend in No.Carolina. Retired Army Ranger. After the vaccine he believed he was going to die for about 2 weeks .Now he has shooting pains going up and down his legs.. ....
His wife works in a hospital, and said she's concerned. They have patients who experience epileptic type seizures after the shot, and those who feel their brains are in a fog after the shot.

Another one of dh's work friends told him the 1st shot caused his entire body to be covered with a painful, swollen rash for several weeks.

I am laughing my ass off at all the anti vax hysteria.
My wife and I, my neighbors and about 40 more people in my sub division, my son who works at the VA hospital, and all the staff at the VA hospital, and dozens of veterans everyday, have gotten the pfizer vaccine. NO bad reactions beyond a sore arm. No missed work days and no hysteria like here on this board.
You don't want the vaccine, don't get the damn thing. When you are in the hospital don't be like the dumb ass that still claimed it was all a hoax right up until his last breath.
Frankly, if you didn't get the vaccine, all treatment should be at your own personal expense if you come down with covid.

Personally I now many who had bad reactions to the vaccine. 3 deaths, and many seriously ill and admitted to the hospital. Two co-workers came down with Covid a day after the jab. One seriously and ended up admitted to the hospital. Out for weeks. Just heard today of two more getting the vaccine, one puking blood. The other legs are swelling and can’t walk.
So I say to you .... when someone you know that has a reaction to the vaccine and dies or ends up in the hospital. Don’t be a dumb ass and blame it on something else.

Coworker had second dose of Moderna one month ago. Today, the individual shared an episode this past weekend where she started itching in the hands, then broke out in hives all over body. Episode lasted about 24 hours, then subsided back to normal. She thinks it was the vax.

Oh and here is the J&J vaccine and how it's different from the mRNA vaccines. If you watch you will find that it does not work like a regular old style vaccine. but used a virus with modified DNA to infect a cell. that DNA then makes the same kind of mRNA that pfizer uses directly. That mRNA then makes spikes and your immune system reacts.
The common thing with ever vaccine, even what you might call "old style" vaccines is that they all cause your immune system to go into overdrive to learn how to fight a virus.

Not trying to insult anyone but it is frustrating to see so many here spouting stuff they read from non reliable sources and trying to convince people not to get the vaccine.
May God have mercy on those who convince a member here not to get the vaccine and the member or their family ends up dying of covid. We have a lot of old people or members with failing health and they are particularly vulnerable to covid.

If I convince one person to make a rational decision about the vaccine, whether they agree or not, I've done my job.
As I said in a previous post on this thread. Make your own mind up about getting or not getting the vaccine. They are not evil, they don't contain microchips from Bill Gates and they have reduced deaths in nursing homes by 95%, and in Israel where most of the people have been vaccinated, they are getting back to normal life.

You have to learn as much as you can about the vaccines from legitimate sources and the possible risks.'
