When I make boiled cabbage here, I cook it to just fork tender with Polish Kielbasa. What you buy in the can is too soft, but like I said, it beats not having any at all. We like it well enough.Might have to try that too. Wife LOVES boiled cabbage but all I like really is sauerkraut. I ought to make up some sauerkraut actually, thanks for jogging the ol' brain. It's easy to make for sure, mama showed me long time ago. Tastes better and less salty than store bought too.
