Are these 12 ounce or 6 ounce packages of butterscotch chips? Could you also press the mixture into a square baking pan and cut them into squares like the rice krispie treats?

The packages I use are 11 oz. I don't see why you couldn't spread the mix into a pan if it doesn't set up too fast before you get it spread out.

Thanks, Homestyle.

I checked the package I have here that I bought last Christmas, and it is 12 ounces. Just like everything else, they aren't raising prices, but they put less in the package. Or when they put less in the package, the package is the same size but contains more dead air space. Some of the ice cream is now less than 1/2 gallon. Sheeesh! Maybe this would be a good topic for another thread.

I think I will try your recipe both ways during the holidays and see how it goes. Thanks!! :)

Cassie, who has a sweet tooth
