Anthony Fauci lied. Only his most ardent cult-members believe otherwise. He knowingly funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Virology Lab, then lied to Congress about it on multiple occasions. This is a federal offense, as Senator Rand Paul reminded him yesterday.
Now, the Senator told Fox News host Sean Hannity he is calling on the Department of Justice to act.

“You kicked off your questioning of Dr. Fauci emphasizing federal law makes lying to Congress, a felony punishable by up to five years in prison,” Hannity noted. “Is your belief based on the evidence Senator that he lied before Congress and broke the law?”
Paul replied, “Yes, and I will be sending a letter to the department of justice asking for a criminal referral because he has lied to Congress.”
Boom!

There are so many people in government and beyond who deserve justice for the devastation they’ve caused through this whole Covid-19 debacle. Anthony Fauci is at the top of that list.

If this had all happened four years ago, even Trump's DOJ probably wouldn't go after him....

Housecarl, however, raises an excellent point about this being a great way to throw Fauci under the bus and look like they're not completely in the globalists' pocket, forestalling many from pushing the Shoot F**king Everybody button.

Unless he personally approved this BS, apparently-NIH-funded, underhanded approach to dangerous research via China, there's no reason he should be standing up for it.

I've called the current administration a "triumvirate" for a reason. Besides the "usual" internal political alliances between factions of the DNC, there is also now the open play of the "Deep State" in this mix.

Their "loyalties" are a direct reflection of their "empire building" and they can just as easily ally with another political faction if it guarantees the survival of their fiefdoms with them as their ruling lords.

I am guessing that these "deep state" actors potentially could be a bigger player at the table than the political hacks. That their goals are likelier less to do with ideology and more with the use and husbanding of power without coming into the light of day makes them very likely to seek an exit from this mess more quickly than the political ideologs or hacks. Even so like turning a full super tanker such a move isn't done on a dime.

What triggers them into action, whatever the direction, will be akin to knocking the keystone out of an arch.

How about his deliberate blocking of HCQ and IVM, resulting in hundreds of thousands of deaths while we waited for Big Pharma to develop their own bioweapon that has also killed and maimed tens of thousands, while profiting tens of billions? Did his actions influence other countries to, say, choose Remdesevir at $3000 a course over more effective treatments at $3 a dose? We may have to include the heads of CDC, FDA, and the European agencies as well, there’s plenty of blame to go around.

I`m starting to think less of Rand Paul as well. Watched a video last night on the Stew Peters show. His guest was Dr. David Martin. Dr. Martin says that Rand Paul had Fauci on the ropes a while back when he lied to congress. And did not close the door when he had an opportunity. Also remember, Rand Paul was no where to be seen or heard regarding election fraud.

Rand Paul hasn't been in DC this long without being aware of this.

Could just be more posturing? This may just be for the optics and since Fauci brings no political power to the table he may be viewed as an expendable scapegoat. When the crap gets real he gets the blame for the flawed "science" the politicians depended on?

I think he is getting set up to be a fall guy. I actually think that this was planned as a contingency plan. Alex Jones as crazy as he comes off did make a good point stating that they are setting up a great many folks in administration to be fall guys. That will be the only way that power can be maintained as stated.
