Pressure is growing on rapper Nardo Wick after police in Tampa released images of the two members of his entourage who are accused of the brutal beating of a super fan who was merely trying to get a picture with the singer.

As a result of the assault, victim George Obregon, 20, has been left with a concussion and bleeding on his brain with his long term prognosis still unclear, his mother says.

Police said Obregon approached Wick, real name Horace Bernard Walls III, around 1.15am after his show on Sunday at the Club Skye in Tampa, Florida.

A video released by the victim's family and circulated on social media shows one man rushing from behind Obregon as the fan went towards Wick. Seconds later, that man and another member of Wick's entourage took turns punching the fan in the face. As a result of one punch, Obregon falls against a brick wall.

'At no point was my son aggressive at no f***in' point did he show any sign of harm!!! My son wanted a stupid f***in' picture with his favorite artist!!!!And This is what he gets!!!!!!! I am sick to my stomach to think about how this could have turned out!!!!' Obregon's mother Michelle wrote on Facebook.

She added: 'As a mother I am begging you to help get justice for George Obregon Jr. Anyone who knows my son knows he is the sweetest and gentlest kid ever. No drugs, alcohol, gang, nothing! I am dying here and my f***in' heart is hurting so bad I am sick to my stomach. I can’t stay quiet.'

Late Tuesday, the Tampa Police Department released two images of the attackers. Wick's campaign has maintained that the two men are not part of his security team and are not 'directly connected to Nardo.'

Anyone with information that could assist is asked to call Tampa Police at 813-231-6130 or submit an anonymous tip by contacting Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay, Inc. at 800-873-TIPS (8477) or via TIP411.

A friend who was with Obregon, Connor Villa, told CBS Tampa Bay that after the social media clip cuts off, the two assailants got into Wick's car and left with him.

'After the video stops, Nardo, the artist, rips the one person who was hitting George off and tells everyone to get in the car, the guys who hit him and everyone got in the car,' Villa told the station.

'I run over to tend to my friend and he's sitting up against the wall and is non-responsive... It's just something that was supposed to be so fun. Us having a great time trying to meet one of our favorite artists turned into something I'll never forget.'

Obregon's mother is using the media to draw attention to the heinous incident. She described what happened on the night of the attack when speaking to Fox Tampa Bay.

I went to sleep. 1:47, my phone rings. I already knew it. I answered it. Where's George? What happened to George? Where's my son? And they're like: "You need to rush to the hospital."

'As a parent watching that happen to your son or your child in general and feeling hopeless, and you weren't there, you feel like: "I failed. I failed as a parent,"' she added in a heartbreaking interview.

'To say my son is in this situation for a simple selfie is just mind-blowing... We cannot say with a brain injury where he can be in a week, two weeks, a year, five years. The brain has to heal on its own,' she told the CBS affiliate.

Michelle said her son is now conscious.

Meanwhile, Villa confirmed in a separate interview with ABC Tampa Bay that his friend hit his head twice, once against the wall and once when he was forced to the ground.

'I saw the video last night for the first time, and the video is going to be in my head for the rest of my life. I think every mother that watched that video can just zone in or feel my pain,' Michelle told that station.

The incident took place in Ybor City, the same section of Tampa that saw two people killed and 16 injured when a shooting erupted at a Halloween party in the area.

In a Facebook post about her son's ordeal, Michelle wrote: 'That call you never want to get at 2am #boycottybor.'

For his part, Wick said in his social media posts that he condemned the awful actions - but said that he can't 'control another grown man's actions.'

The rapper wrote: 'I don't condone what happened to my fan George after my show in any type of way, I expressed to him and his mama how sorry and concerned I was that it happened to him, multiple times before anything was even posted or on the internet.

'I sent his mama my number instantly the night it happened. I was even gone make a post to try to find out who he was before his mama text me.

'I can't control another grown man actions, I ain't know that was gone happen, and I was mad when it happened.

'I tried to stop it as you can see in the video, and if somebody got the longer video you can see how mad I was, I love and appreciate all my fans and don't condone in what happened at all dat s**t ain't gangsta or cool in no type of way.'

As Obregon appears too shocked or hurt to move, another member of Wick's entourage punches him again several times - as Wick tells the man to 'chill'.

Why do these young white boys continue to idolize rappers and their drug-pushing gangsta 'culture', when they have thousands of years of beautiful history & culture to look up to instead? All because they are afraid of being labeled 'racist'? Look at the language the mom uses: eff this, eff that. She is right about one thing...she failed as a parent.

The rapper just ran away...didn't even try to get help for him. This is someone to idolize?

I know only what I have read above . . . certainly not all of the story. I have no sympathy for the crew-members. Probably racist undertones. But:

1. What gives people the right to think anyone wants to be in a photo with them?

2. How can the mother tell us that her kid was not aggressive or a pain in trying to get the selfie when she wasn't even there?

The video tells the whole story. Kid standing with his phone out, in non threatening manner. Rapper walks out, one of his "bodyguards'" walks up and sucker punches the kid unprovoked. Kid is immediately knocked unconscious and goes rigid up against the wall. "Bodyguards'" #2 comes up and starts swinging more headshots on the already passed out kid until he knocks him to the ground. Rapper starts yelling for the "bodyguards'" to stop, but its too late.

From what Ive seen kid suffered serious brain damage and is in critical condition. Rapper admitted they were not "professional bodyguards" but rather "friends" (aka ghetto thugs). Ill see if I can find the video, but it is clear assault, manslaughter, and a huge payout for the kid.

Video shows one "guard" hitting the guy once, he falls back a bit and is being held up by the wall, 2nd "guard" hits him once.

Saying the beat him unconscious is a very sensationlizd headline.

A real guard would have just pushed the guy back not punch him.
But the end result could have been the same.

This is going to hurt the rapper in booking future events once the venue managers realize they are on the hook for medical expenses related from this.

Naw, TFergeson had the right of it. Watch it again.
Kid got sucker punched behind the ear from behind, then again while seized up, then head bounces off pavement!

Kid needs a *massive* payout

Rappers need professional bodyguards, not thugs. it’s gonna cost him bigly!
