Pressure cooker recipes?

I just bought a new pressure cooker and am still learning how not blow myself up. I love chicken and am marinating a couple of breasts at this moment. Does anyone have marinade clues and a good source for how to make chicken taste exotic?

Bear in mind that pressure cooking will drive any flavoring deep into the food. It also makes meat VERY tender.

Now, as to "exotic"? That's a very subjective thing. To a Swede, bad Mexican food might taste exotic. My personal recommendation is to flavor things the way YOU like them.

Exotic flavor is a simple matter of using the right spice combination, and letting the pressure cooker do its thing...

Thanks Dennis. I browned the chicken and added crushed garlic (lots of it) some celery tops and parsley. Its hissing and pissing away at this time and the smell is awesome indeed!

I am still living out of boxes as I just moved here in July and had my kitchen remodeled. I can't my spices and will never understand why I didn't put them all in one box.

Age isn't pleasant to watch when one is over 60.

When we move, we number every box, then take an inventory as we add things into it, under the number (on a clipboard).

When we arrive, we can go directly to the box we need. (We've moved a LOT.)

Good luck on your feast...

Sandy,

Sorry I can't help you with pressure cooker recipes, but I *can* say "Welcome to the board"!!! :) I lived near Phoenix for a stretch back in the early 70s. Hated to move back to the midwest but I had little choice. Phoenix stills holds a warm place in my heart.

I organized our last move exactly the way Dennis did his. I can't believe there are other people out there who move this way!! My son and his friends made fun of my organizing skills, but believe me, I wasn't wasting a lot of time trying to track things down after the move.

Enjoy the sunshine and warm weather, and keep at that pressure cooking -- you'll get the hang of it real soon. :D There are a lot of good cooks at TB2k. Lots of good recipes have been posted. Use the search engine and smoke them out.

Happy cooking to you!
