Greetings ladies and gentlemen,

This is a lovely kitchen...nice work!

I have just obtained a package of 150 oxygen absorbers. I have used CO2 previously to package bulk foods. So I am inexperienced with the oxygen absorbers. I am wondering how to open them and how many to use.
I would like to use them with freeze dried fruit packaged in quart mason jars....I am guessing to pack the extra oxygen absorbers in mason jars too.
How can I tell if they are no longer working..is there a way to tell? Also, how long can they be "out" in the air? How many do you use in a quart jar? And...if they are used with sprouting alfalfa and barley will it still sprout?
