I was going to list this as politics, but it really is terrorism and really does take us one step closer to Civil War Two. It is ironic the city council members being attacked, like Mayor Ted Wheeler, are in fact Marxists, and have openly supported Antifa in their ongoing riots. It is also a fact the PPD, which did as little as possible last Saturday when dealing with the Antifa terrorists, is now subject to reviews by our former Oakland officer Chief Outlaw for "excessive force, and also by the ACLU, an Islamic Group and other assorted liberals. In response to all this investigation, the Antifa types stormed the city council meeting, beat up two security officers, and forced the city council members to run for their lives. The mere fact any of the Antifa types were actually detained, which ALMOST NEVER HAPPENS is a significant dot. Apparently our Marxist politicians don't like it when their pet thugs come after them, as in personal violent attacks.

For those of you who don't think Civil War Two is happening, all I can say is come to Portland and take a look around.

Alt-left activists get violent in Portland resulting in the disruption of a city meeting and the injury of two security guards

Alt-left activists who stormed Portland City Hall on Wednesday to take a stand against police brutality found themselves in a violent scuffle of their own which resulted in several arrests and injuries.

During the aggressive confrontation, Mayor Ted Wheeler and others were forced to walk out of a scheduled meeting and find a more secure conference room in which no one was allowed to enter and two security guards suffered minor injuries from the conflict as reported by KTVZ 21.

“One demonstrator, who was masked and wearing a baseball helmet, smashed a security guard over the head repeatedly with a megaphone. The guard was seen afterward clutching a bag of ice, a bruise beginning to form on his cheek.,” The Oregonian reported. “City Hall security chief Dorothy Elmore said she was also struck by a protester, in the arm.”

Foul-mouthed activists could be heard yelling “F–you, F–you” at city officials who were brave enough to greet them at the building’s entrance.

This all comes after a number of the ANTIFA-type communists were rounded up by the department during recent protests.

Still, my point is Antifa has now evolved to openly attacking, not just local politicians, but liberal politicians who openly support them. All revolutions eat their founders, just ask Trotsky or Robspiere, or Danton.

IMPHO:

During the marches I speculate that ANTIFA expected the politicians to direct the police to attack the "right" protestors. BUT when the "right" protestors didn't act up, and ANTIFA tried to start the fight, by attacking the police, the police went after them, resulting in their arrests, etc.

So the attack on their support group was to show their dissatisfaction with them, and that next time they had better get it "right", or they will come after them, as this demonstration shows.

don't waste your time telling me about freedom of speech and freedom of assembly when you're actually showing me a picture of a RIOT. we don't have that here - at this council meeting - but we'll have an escalated version of this type behavior in the future. you get to come into a council meeting and VOICE YOUR OPINION - you DO NOT get to go in and stop the business of the council.

Fighting over closing a door. Rather silly. Instead of pulling on the door. Just walk outside and remove the guy holding the door. Then close it. A tug of war is silly.

Good to see the cops had some common sense. They removed the guy on the door and kept anyone from grabbing it again. What they should have done at the beginning.

I agree. Reminds me a picture from a football games years ago. Rumors were flying before the game that the home fans would tear down the goal posts if they won. The Univ and the State Police made it clear that would not be allowed. I remember the newspaper picture of students laying on the ground around the posts with their eyes full of pepper spray. No goal post was injured in the making of that debacle. Rude behavior was punished immediately.

I'm all for civil disobedience when justified. I'm all for letting these butt-nuggets make fools of themselves. It was a pleasure to know that both sides in this instance were nuggets. As a normal course of behavior, it shouldn't be tolerated.
