Would GW concede if he was in Kerry's shoes?

Hell no.

He's got 8,000 to 10,000 lawyers/8 airplanes fully fueled, sitting on the tarmac/ and about $10,000,000.00 for the lawsuits.

OTOH Kerry only has 6 planes.

No, GW would send forth the lawyers, file lawsuits, do anything he could to win.

This answer is more likely.

Just curious.. did you forget to make it a poll and then change it afterwards, or was it really a poll from the start?

Wondering if maybe the way the software works is that it initially posts it as a regular thread and then changes it to a poll after you enter the poll options.

Of course.. but all the "Dubya is a great and moral man" (snort) people are going to choose option #1.

This is stupid. It is not even close. What is it about politicans, nowadays, that they can't call it quits? Has Daschle admitted defeat? He lost by about 6,000. Thune only lost by 500 last election.

IMHO Bush would slit his own mother's throat on national TV if he thought it would win him this election. NO. Bush would not concede"for the good of America". if he thought he had even a ghost of a chance. Even if Bush wins this election he is still a pig.

Very well -AO-, count me among the "snorters." Yes, I very mush think George W. Bush would concede. After the last debacle in Florida, the "selected, not elected"
foolishness, and the fact that yes, I believe Bush to be a moral, if not great, man, I do not think he would put a lust for power ahead of the good of the country.
Unlike the Democrats.

Not only would Bush concede with grace and dignity, he would go one step further and immediately sell his Crawford Ranch and dedicate himself humbly to the betterment of mankind. Then he would enlist with the troops in Iraq and lead the first massive assault on Falluja himself, acting as a human shield to protect our troops.

PP is right do not mock PentelPen!

We should cannonize the great George Bush just for the saintly things we think he might do.

To answer the question....

George has a pyschological problem where he doesn't think he has to answer to anyone...especially the American people....This was evident when he joked about not finding WMD's, The debate where he looked really agitated and had foam coating the corners of his mouth...at least I hope it was foam, and the referances to the job being much easier when your a dictator.

George would not concede....If you think he would concede you are confusing a great man...with a president/politician.

You're all more than a bit premature here. It's not even been twelve hours yet since it was clear that Kerry didn't have it.

TOMORROW this question may be pertinent. Or not.

Bush would do what Kerry is doing...

...which is to place his concession in abeyance until he's absolutely certain he's lost. Certainly can't fault Kerry too heavily for that, and I wouldn't I would fault Bush if he were in the same position.

However, the "provisional" ballots may or may not make a difference. There may not be enough valid provisional ballots to change the outcome as it stands right now. That is to say, the state of Ohio will have to toss any ballots submitted by unregistered voters, underage voters, known felons, fictional characters and dead folks.

Once the provisional ballot "chaff" is tossed, there will likely be little Ohio "wheat" upon which Kerry may rely, as it may become obvious that there are not enough provisional ballots to change the outcome. The actual counting of these provisional ballots may be any number of days away, however.

So it isn't surprising that Kerry would delay conceding until the provisional ballot count becomes apparent. I doubt the Bush camp would do any differently, since both campaigns have spent vast sums to get to this point. Neither would elect to concede prematurely.

I'm going to agree we have a due diligence issue.....

So I suspect that GW would wait to find out how things REALLY are here in Ohio....

And if they don't change he would.
