I received such emails about 8 years ago, essentially trashing Trump if you answered the questions. I didn't respond, and the emails went away.
It's a battle which will probably never end until it goes kinetic and even then it'll most likely take years. And we're in it regardless of whether or not we volunteered or were just unwillingly drafted into it.
A refrain from an old song just hit me as I was reading your post: "Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right! Here I am, stuck in the middle with you."

That kind of depends.
There a generally 3 groups of polls.
1.There information type trying to find voter opinion and predict possible results (almost extinct).
2. The we want a specific answer to ‘create’ the story we already know what we want to write, where they ask very slanted questions trying to make the desired answer appear good and non desired answer evil.
3. Push polls totally slanted, very specific and one sided to push negative or positive information to a voter to drive them to vote a specific way, not looking for information trying to push information into the voters awareness.

I never answer polls from whomever. I also make the robber callers life miserable. I get several calls a day that are scam along with an occasional poll. Today when a human tried to get me to talk I told them they sounded terrible. Asked them if they were sick? They should get medical attention. They left after that.

I didn't say that it was a scam unless you look at the politics of it.
It is actually both of these, they only give choices that express their agenda or attacks and don't give you an other option. Then they can report how badly a candidate (republican) is looked upon...
