I've been busily ignoring the talking heads on the TV in the other room, on the theory that in every swing state there will be about three bajillion absentee ballots from Iraq and roughly that many provisional ballots, which won't be counted for a week or so, or even later if each one has to have its own little court case.

25,000 lawyers! Wow! Think of all the penny loafers.

I think I heard the New Mexico fellow say they'll be counted the day before Thanksgiving for new Mexico!

So what is the point?

Why not just shut off the TV and radio, put on Master and Commander, get out the Jack Daniels and some ice, and relax?

After all, the Supreme Court won't want to rule, or even hear the appeal, until Chief Justice Rehnquist's thyroid cancer is cured, right? That could be MONTHS!

So, why are you up reading this post? (and why I am posting it? (grin))

Boy am I going to be tired tomorrow at work! But, I cannot go to bed until the Ohio results as in......zzzzzz...uh....i'm awake.....really!
