Ok Giltric,
You've officially pissed me off. I hereby stand by and claim my right to defend myself against your unwarranted attacks against me.
This is not about politics - I detest politics. I could care less about any political party in the US - in fact I believe every one of them should be banned. They're all staffed by petty, power-hungry meglamaniacs.
I deal in and with facts based on solid, credible evidence. I base my decisions for whom I am going to vote for based upon on each individual person ... who they are, what they are, what they represent, how they live their personal lives, their record based on their personal history, how they handle their affairs - public and personal. If I can not find enough info on a particular candidate - then, as far as I am concerned, they obviously do not really want to represent anyone but their own vested self-interests and they are NOT going to get my vote, PERIOD!
This about Kerry ... the wanna-be-a-man.
I'm a combat veteran - I detest his treason, under fire and back home, as an officer in the US military. I detest the way he wheedled his way out of really having to serve by falsifying documents and lying. My brother was in the US Navy in a special forces unit in Vietnam. I've listened to my brother rant about Kerry's actions in 'Nam ever since he became a Senator.
I love my country and all that it represents. I may disagree with some of the policies that elected officials have wrought, BUT I watched as my comrades died on the battlefield while fighting for the values and principles upon which this country was founded and upon which it still stands. It took me years to physically recover from the very real, physical injuries I sustained on that same battlefied while serving my country.
I detest the very public statements that Kerry has made in front of tv cameras stating categorically that he will conduct foreign policy solely in accordance with UN mandates and in only in cooperation with other nations. One quote by Kerry struck me so hard - it is firmly implanted in my memory: "Foreign policy must be based on the arrival of a consensus by the entire international community and actions only taken by a coalition of nations. The US can not and will not act alone."
Kerry scares the crap outta me. I've heard what he has to say and I am intelligent enough to understand where he is going to take this country if given the chance ... and THAT scares me even more.
And I do not want to hear no crap about Bush either ... as I believe I made abundantly clear in my earlier post - I am no fan of Dubya.
I've avoided posting much on any of these political threads; but, today is election day ... and, by God, I have the right to have my vote AND my voice heard. I've earned it - up close and personal.
Go play your childish little partisan games elsewhere.
