My wife is planning an all-nighter.

She does the radio news here and will be at the station all night. Me - I'm going to do one of my all time favorite things to do ----- sleep.

Unfortunately with all of the lawyers lined up on both sides and the projected closeness of the race, it might turn from an all nighter into a five-weeker. I have always loved presidential election night until last time when we couldn't find out who won for weeks and weeks.

I always stay up to watch the returns. Hubby hates watching elections, so he'll go to bed long before me.

Bearded... No, no.. I don't even expect to see who wins.

I wanna watch it for the chaos, confusion, exit polling, screams of racism, fraud and intimidation-- scuffles, bouts, etc...etc...
:D

Cygnus, I like to watch all of that too.

Unfortunately, I might be stuck in a place with only FM radio. Not that NPR is bad (it is left-slanted, but they do have very good news coverage), I just like to get as many points of view as possible.

I plan on staying up as late as possible listening to all of it though.

My Bday is on the 2nd, so I had already planned on being off on the 3rd. I figure I'll do a shot for every state that is too close to call at midnight.

I listen to AM talk radio in my car and NPR here at work (no AM reception..), so I get the spectrum also.

Cygnus, lol.... P7of7, you don't want to sleep anywhere near him unless you have to, he snores like a chainsaw.

I watch it for the mayhem too - it's like watching an accident. You know it doesn't do any good to stare at it but you just can't look away....

I was watching CNN this morning and the results of one of their
"unofficial" polls was very interesting-in a depressing kind if way.

Not one of the responses was positive about the election. Not one
person expected a clear winner on Nov. 2

I take the bus to work. For the first time that I can remember, there
have been active, vocal, discussions among strangers. Oh, there
have been occasional impromptu one issue conversations about
local issues, like the Kingdome, but never open arguments about
a national election.

I personally intend to vote early and then hunker down with a load
of comfort food groceries. Maybe refresh my water supply.

Once I get home from the polls I am going to turn off all news of the election until the next day.

I have exactly ZERO interest in who wins, because I know that it'll be only by sheer luck that the US survives to see another cycle....

it'll be a short party. bush landslide.

You nailed it! When Kerry has to campaign in normally very democratic districts and Bush is campaigning in New Jersey, you know it ain't going to be close!

:spns:

I will only be online here until like 2pm (cst) then it's off to the Doc for a Physical and then off to the Polls to keep Marxist Kerry out! -- then off to my PARTY!!
(Must resist urge to hurl objects at TV...)

You all still think Bush Landslide?
Hmmm...
I am starting to think Titor is the real deal and Kerry is in.. wacos.. the whole deal.
