I'm curious as to what type of weather you will have in your state on Election Day.

Going to be a pretty, warm, day in South West Georgia. Highs in the middle 80's!

Here in Texas, a cold front is blowing through tonight. Maybe snow in north Texas, and cold wind and rain for much of Texas.

Glad I voted early :D

In my little corner of the world:

Rain in the morning, then cloudy. Highs in the mid-40's. Winds 15 mph.

So much for me walking to vote.

Thanks to all of you who posted. Sounds like many of you are going to need raincoats! It amazes me how different the weather is when we live almost under the same roof so to speak!

Stay warm, dry, and safe,
Pepper

Some weather problems for Election Day
9:10 P.M. ET 11/1/2004

Tom Moore, Senior Meteorologist, The Weather Channel
National Forecast

South
Areas from the Carolinas to Georgia and Florida will have a warm and dry Election Day while most of the remainder of the South will endure some wet weather. As a storm system slides slowly eastward out of Texas toward the lower Mississippi Valley, rain will be widespread. Locally heavy rain, with the possibility of flooding, is likely over eastern Texas, western and northern Louisiana, souther and eastern Arkansas and western Tennessee. Farther west, accumulating snow is likely in the Texas Panhandle and parts of West Texas beneath low pressure aloft. High temperatures will range from the 40s in West Texas to the 80s in the Southeast.

Northeast
Rain will spread eastward across the Northeast on Tuesday although areas from extreme southern New England southward through New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania and Virginia should remain dry. A mix of rain and snow showers is likely in northern Maine. The rain is part of a slow-moving storm system moving in from the Midwest. Temperatures will vary greatly across the region with highs ranging from the 40s in much of eastern New York and New England to the low 80s near the Virginia-North Carolina border.

West
A Pacific front will push inland on Tuesday resulting in rain and mountain snow across the Northwest, with the precipitation extending inland from the coast to northwest Montana. Only southeast Oregon and the southern half of Idaho are expected to stay dry. Heavy snow is possible in Idaho's Clearwater Mountains. Snow levels in the Washington Cascades will drop to 3000 to 4000 feet by afternoon, although snowfall will be winding down by then. Fierce winds (gusts to 65 mph) are expected to howl over Montana just east of the continental divide. Farther south, rain and snow showers will linger over east-central and southeast New Mexico. it will also be quite windy in the canyons of Southern California and Arizona. Northerly and northeasterly winds will push temperatures into the 60s and 70s in those areas , but the majority of the West will have highs only in the 40s and 50s (30s in the Rockies).

Midwest
A cold front sliding eastward through the Ohio Valley will keep much of the lower Midwest damp, although by late in the day, the precipitation should be confined to the Ohio Valley and extreme southern Missouri. Morning voters across southeastern Michigan, southeastern Indiana and much of Ohio will have to dodge raindrops. Sunny skies are expected over the Plains and Upper Midwest. High temperatures should be close to seasonal averages with readings mostly in the 40s and 50s, the 60s in the Ohio Valley.

Clear blue sky, sunny and very warm, 80's. Expected to help record turnouts here. I thought that was an interesting statement on the news, I sure wouldn't let something like the weather influence whether I went to vote!
