You don't "forget" you borrowed a million dollars to finance your campaign. And you don't "screw up" filing federal election forms where one of the express purposes of those forms is to properly DISCLOSE the SOURCES and USES of those funds.

If he is that forgetful and that much of a screwup with managing the ordinary simple aspects of a campaign then we don't need him as President overseeing far weightier matters.

Fine. Hand your vote over to the literal homewrecker. I can't.

So you are going to take your ball home and not play any more.

Don't you see the law is the law.

The biggest problem we now have in this country is the people in charge breaking the law and saying O it is no big deal, don't you see that.
Can we agree on that one fact.

He took out a loan against his house. Right now, until the loan is paid back the bank owns his house. Yeah I'd consider that self funded.
He merely converted a physical asset into currency which he must pay back or lose his house.
I wonder how many people here have their home mortgages now owned by the likes of Goldman Sachs or other evil bankers.

I do find it funny that he talks about Trumps New York values while having a loan from Goldman Sachs.
It's almost as bass ackwards as Trump trying to convince people that the Bible is his favorite book.

Look folks, anyone that wants to be President is drunkenly mad for power, no matter what they tell you.
Whether it be "fundie" Cruz or "godless" Trump, in this matter they are alike.

I will be happy with either of them as President because they will break the back of the establishment Republican party and just might allow regular people to take back control.
They may screw up the country doing it, but I'm willing to put up with that as long as we finally get a chance to get the country back on track and after the election we can read in the news how the likes of Karl Rove and Jeb slink back to whatever lizard lair they live in and maybe pull a David Carradine

If you'd bothered to read the article, I believe it said he'd paid it back within the year.

Ironically, none of this matters.

Why? You may ask.

Have we fixed voter fraud yet? No? Do you think Libs have grown Scrupples since the last election? Have IQ points dropped sharply in the last 4 years? Do you think there will be enough conservative votes to outnumber all the dead and illegal voters? Last election there were entire towns where Obama got more votes than the town's population. Do you really think this matters unless someone fixes this?

Good luck.

I thought Cruz himself admitted he screwed up and did not follow the rules . You better let him know he is wrong . I could not vote for him among other thing because he is sleeping with a lobbyist for Goldman Sachs

I am going to vote for Trump and I wish the election was yesterday. I just think he can get things done faster than Cruz that is all. He has a track record of getting it done. I think he might put Cruz in as Attorney General and let him have at the whole pack of traitors. In fact I think that is what scares the dems and pubs the most. As far as eminent domain goes it has been in the laws since the beginning. I have had problems with it and don't like it but there are times it has to be used.

'As far as eminent domain goes it has been in the laws since the beginning. I have had problems with it and don't like it but there are times it has to be used.'

Eminent domain is legal, like home mortgage deductions et al.
I really get a hoot out of rants on Imminent Domain. A domain is fast approaching for sure, but Smell Czech is not a friend.
Much of what I think is wrong about eminent domain can be addressed by laws passed by ethical legislatures.

I have a problem with the below statement...

I will be happy with either of them as President because they will break the back of the establishment Republican party and just might allow regular people to take back control.

I do not believe for an instant that Cruz will break the back of the R party, nor allow regular people to take back control. He has proved UNTRUSTWORTHY to me. He is BOUGHT, PAID FOR, AND OWNED by the big banks, to me. Therefore, I could never vote for him. It's not like he has money -He's desperate for money, i.e. the loans from GS and Citi. As well all know the MAJORITY of people running for political office is NOT to make a difference and bring back control to the 'regular people.' It's to get rich themselves! Period!

Trump is already very rich. He doesn't need the elites' money. If you read his book The Art of The Deal you would know he is running to prove himself and his abilities to take something decrepit and practically condemned, and turn it into a shining symbol again. Is it also ego driving him? Sure, but I can accept that if he even manages to put a quarter of the crooks behind bars and undo a ton of executive orders. And if that means every building has to display a big "Trump" sign on it by the time he's done, I can deal with that. I believe he sincerely loves our country, wants to prove himself, and is genuinely sick about what has happened to us. I do not get that at all from Mr. Professional-Politician, Cruz.

And he's the fundamentalist Christian in the group. Imagine the New York values of the rest of them

That's why I could not only care less about their statements of Christianity, if they profess it, I want to vomit them out of my mouth. The most Christian people I've met are those who don't have to tell you they're Christian because you can just tell by their walk and fruit.

A few months ago, Mr. Cruz was meeting with two very rich gay activists in order to raise money.
And if he takes the money they offer, there will be strings on it.
We need to keep a close eye on who is funding Mr. Cruz..in addition to keeping a better eye on Mr. Cruz who is getting loans from buddies and not disclosing it to the proper officials.

Exactly! He has a tendency to "forget" where his funding is really coming from and "screws-up" filing the proper paperwork.

YES!!

While some things Trump does kind of makes me say, "What the...?" I still like the man. I like his straightforwardness, I like his brashness, I like his standing up for what he believes in.

And I've always I thought Ted Cruz was good, real good, a good Christian man who would be a good VP for Trump. Trump would get things done, but Cruz would temper him a bit.

That is what I thought......until I started reading more about Cruz. Now I think it would be a mistake for Trump to even consider him. Cruz is not a NBC, for one. And all of these "forgetful" disclosures. And plus the GS wife. Too much, too much.......

Frankly, I'm more than a little disgusted hearing all this crap about Cruz. There's a much bigger question here: Why didn't someone do 2% of this much investigation into the Kenyan Muslim homosexual, crack-smoking, moron that's currently into the White House?

ONE LIE, GOODBYE!

We need to adopt a ONE LIE, GOODBYE! policy. If a candidate or politician deliberately tells a provable lie during a campaign or while in office, they are immediately and permanently disqualified from holding any public office. Sound good?

Sounds good to me.

Lot's of good points made in this thread. Too bad it got moved off the main. Maybe someone will bring over some of the finer points to other threads there.

And I agree on the general Cruz points. I have always thought that the Goldman Sachs thing would/should be a problem, plus his wife is/was CFR member. And now the hiding of where he got his money thing. I just don't trust him enough. OH and the NBC part is a big thing to me. We already have one of those who has been in office for almost 8 years now. Cheerfully putting our country down, destroying our credit with the world. Making us a debtor nation (big time) and trying to bring in as many illegals as he possibly can to destroy us from within.

I know I don't post much anymore but I do pay attention to what is being said, dug up, brought out. Cruz lost any support I had for him in ANY capacity this week. I don't want him in the new admin, in any way. Period.

Couldn't find any 'local branches' of GS

here's a link to their services: http://www.goldmansachs.com/what-we-do/index.html

I was looking to open a checking account - looks like most offices are 'way up' in high rises all over the world

looking more and more like "NBT" (Nobody But Trump) - I will no longer vote for the lesser of 2 evils

Oh, they did. I personally know a group that did incredible research for years - group included at least one lawyer. They tried sending to congreemen - not one wanted it. They finally sent it all to Trump and Joe Arpaio about 2 1/2 years ago and Arpaio and Zullo's cold case posse took and ran with it, and of course have access to databases and other archives and document libraries that ordinary citizens have no access to. They know his real birth place, citizenship, parents, who did what kind of crimes to get him where he is, who financed, who he associated with, etc.

Trump and Arpaio have been working together on immigration and I have no doubt, this as well. On Jan 6 in an interview with Wolf Blitzer, Wolf asked Trump if he thought 0bolo is a NBC, after talking about Cruz for a few minutes. Trump said something like "I have my own theory and one of these days I'll be writing a book about it and it will do very well."

I think he means more than a book, as in "throw the book"....

Andrew Breitbart had spoken with Arpaio and had decided to look into the forged docs/id fraud/background of 0bolo. Less than 24 hours later, he died.

I am sure it will all come out. Those who did research were not listened to, NO ONE in Mordor on the Potomac on any media, including "conservative" media, would touch it. And some went totally to the dark side and called those who were concerned about 0b0lo's non-eligibility "Birthers" and kooks/crazies/etc. Like Levin.
