National Diversity Coalition CEO Pastor Darrell Scott on Chicago gangs wanting to work with President Trump to fight crime.

Pastor Darrell Scott, a pro-Trump pastor from Ohio, on Thursday said President Trump whole-heartedly embraced former gang thugs’ request to pro-actively address violence in Chicago.

Scott said a top former Chicago gang leader contacted him due to his proximity to President Trump.

“[Trump] gives us access and lends us his ear,” Scott told the FOX Business Network’s Stuart Varney. “When we offer suggestions to him he’s able to process them very quickly and he’s always helpful—he’s never denied me anything that I’ve requested.”

Scott added that he appreciates Trump’s efforts to engage with the African American community.

“I’ve been trying to tell everybody, I’ve been a voice crying in the wilderness—he wants to engage and he wants to do something to alleviate whatever depressed or disenfranchised conditions that we experienced,” he said.

Chicago Gang Leaders Look to Work With Trump on Crime

Chicago gang leaders have reached out to President Donald Trump and hope to combat violence in the city with him, according to pro-Trump megachurch pastor Rev. Darrell Scott.

Scott, who is from Cleveland Heights, Ohio, discussed the possibility of working alongside top Chicago gang members with the president when he met with him at a Black History Month event at the White House on Wednesday, Fox News reported.

"I was recently contacted by some of the top gang thugs in Chicago for a sit-down," Scott told Trump. "They reached out to me because they associated me with you, they respect you, they believe in what you're doing, and they want to have a sit-down about lowering that body count."

"That's a great idea," Trump said. "Chicago is totally out of control."

"We've got to lower that body count, we don't want to talk about anything else, get that body count down," Scott replied. "They agree that the principles that they can do it. These are guys straight from the streets, no politicians, straight street guys."

Chicago has seen 38 homicides and 182 shooting incidents in the city so far in 2017 as of Jan. 25, the Chicago Police Department told CNN.

"They're going to commit that if they lower that body count, we're coming in and we'll do some social programs," Scott said.

"If they're not going to solve the problem, and what you're doing is the right thing, then we're going to solve the problem for them," Trump said. "Because we're going to have to do something about Chicago, because what's happening in Chicago should not be happening in this country."

Last week, Trump sent out a tweet in which he called the city's gang violence "carnage," and threatened to send in the "feds" if progress is not made.

That also seems to suggest something about who really runs Chicago. Gang leaders wanting to work with the President and NOT city officials. I don't know if that's funny or sad.

...and at the rate things are going in the country (yes the inner cities are leading the way) the brush looks like it is going to be replaced with a roller until a sprayer becomes necessary.

Things are deteriorating in the inner cities and the fathers that should be in their homes with their families are, instead, out banging with their offspring (male and female).

The incessant concentration on "banging" is the reason for the higher rate of fatherless homes.

USED to happen fairly frequently - it was an agreed ceasefire between gangs to allow gang leader "delegates" to pass thru the various gang territories .... last time was several years ago - one gang used the opportunity to break the rules and ambush rival gang leaders .... one of the victims was a gang leader's mother - previously all family members were off limits in the gang battles .... opened the door to the escalated war that exists today - now any family member is not only fully allowed to be targeted - it's a preferred target to exact as much pain as possible ....

They don't want much better armed and motivated troops invading their hoods. Bad for the thug business... Federal weapons and drug charges hurt a lot worse and any other crimes they are guilty of...

Feral thug hunting would be good for the city and send a message that this is not Somali or Isis held land.... Red dots and foreheads don't mix well...

Then cruise on over to the Jihadist training centers around the country for some good spirited federally funded "live fire" exercises to help the "immigrants" in their training...

They may find their skill levels are low and not up to par, but that is part of the proverbial learning curve.

That's bad, but happens with white families, too. A distant cousin of mine was injured in a situation like that (can't remember if the shooter was her ex husband or ex boyfriend, not that it matters much); her parents were both killed.

I think location has a whole lot to do with the problems. There are a small number of black people in our community and they are all really nice. There are a slightly larger number in the county, and I don't hear of any problems. But this is a mostly-rural area, mostly white (and Mexican/Central American), and very conservative for the most part. That makes all the difference. Don't know if it's that the decent black people don't stay in the inner cities, or if it's that being the majority makes them feel like they have a right to do whatever they want.
