POL October Surprise?

HA !!

Speaking from experience, here……

The above premise never quite works out as (dubiously) intended.

Runs akin to buying one’s wife a nice Weatherby 7mm Mag. for her birthday.

Yeah, like that.

:cmpcf:
BTW, if she is anything like my wife,
you give her that Weatherby for her birthday,
and she is going to want to go to the range to shoot it
and it won't be long before you will need to by more ammo.

Same thing applies with the scotch.

Isn't the time period getting close to when Biden's successor can run for two full four year terms?

Wonder who the Democrats will pick to replace Biden?
actually been pondering these both. my understanding - tho I haven't bothered to research it - is that the "successor" would have to be seated AFTER the mid terms - thereby (supposedly) satisfying the TWO TERM limit as the "appointee" would then clearly have "served" (spit) less than HALF of a full term. as to "choice" - I believe they would prefer Nasty Nancy . . . so there is the issue of TIME REMAINING (where she could legaly be seated) in the (unlikely) happenstance that the demonratz should manage to fail to steal the midterm.

"well that would never be permitted to fly" you (collectively) might be saying. to which I will reply BULLSHIT on a biscuit. the 2020 election was stolen - IT FLEW. the ALPHABETS/BIG TECH/MEDIA led dismantaling of this country is GLIDING along at altitude quite nicely. the "insurrection farce" and its attendant show "trial" is STILL flying - quite high and loudly I would add.

it would ABSOLUTELY fly and it would FLY without so much as a peep from the sheep who are too busy grazing on their increasingly smaller and browner pasture to look up into the manor house - better yet - the MIRROR - and see where the REAL PROBLEM actually lies.

that would be the case with Raggedyann IF it were a new pistol . . . but she's fairly recoil adverse so there had better be a REALLY SERRIOUS muzzle break on that 7MM . . . had to get here a new 20GA just becasue of that (which fell under that "gud in-ten-shuns" clause in #201 above)

I never thought I would be quoting Hillary's famous statement of "what difference does it make," but I am. At this point, and based on the actions of the Republican party, I don't think it makes a whole hell of a lot of difference which party wins. And this coming from a life-long Republican voter.
Put a fork in us, we're done!
There's a reason I refuse to vote anymore. I refuse to put my imprimatur on the current collection of evil government thugs.

My bet is on California Governor Newsom.

He is a darling of the Democratic Party, and is related to Pelosi. She is in a very powerful position as Speaker of the House. But at age 82 doubt if she has the energy to pretend to be President.

interesting - never made those connections. I'd say you're very probably correct. just as evil as Nasty Nan and very much more palatable to the masses. betting that "10 year plan" has been considered.

Currently there is a Vice-President, so there is no choosing who would become President if Biden resigned or was removed from office. In the case of no Vice-President, the President makes the choice, with the confirmation of a majority in both the House and Senate.

If Brandon were to leave only after Kamala leaves, and with the Republicans regaining a majority in either the House or Senate after the mid-terms, I have no idea who would get nominated to become President, and have the needed amount of Republicans, along with the Democrats, to confirm that nomination.

Prior to the swearing in of new Senators and Representatives, the Democrats would likely confirm whomever would get nominated.

I still think there is going to be election fraud on a large scale. The corruption is nation wide.

The Democrats and RINO Republicans will win.

Trouble is no one will believe the results and accept them.

This could will be the last election, as the confidence of the people in government evaporates.

Either heard or read very recently that voter confidence in the elections is down to an all time low of TWENTY (20) PERCENT . . . doesn’t bode well at all for the days following 11.12 my friends. we could quite easily find ourselves in a very different world in very short order.

BUY what you NEED while there is still an economy to do that in. Strongly suggest everyone find and fill any possible hole with PROTIEN while its still available and resonably affordable.

There will never be a “last election”.

So long as the people will hold on to the illusion of a voice, they will continue to exercise that effort in vain.

So long as the people are willing to exercise effort in vain, the Beast will cheerfully provide a venue for that energy expenditure.

Imagine the hilarity the Beast enjoys as the irony continues to unfold in vain ritualistic fashion.

The United States is headed for a total collapse.

Survivors will have to create a new government, 2032?

Okay... you got something that's gonna happen tomorrow, one day pre-election?
Inquiring minds....
Was trying to figure out a poll thread.
Wanted to ask:

1. Republicans win majority of Senate
2. Democrats win majority of Senate
3. Republicans win majority of the House of Representatives
4. Democrats win majority of the House of Representatives
5. Yes The Federal election was fair and the count accurate
6. No there was widespread fraud which effected the outcome
7. The public continues to lose confidence in the government because of the election cheating
Yes or No

There is currently no person posing as vice president who is constitutionally qualified to become president. Kamala Harris is not a natural born citizen. QED.

Edited to belatedly fix auto slaughter corrections.

Many would take issue with this statement.

As we’ve reported before, Harris, whose mother is from India and whose father is from Jamaica, was born in Oakland, California, which makes her a natural born U.S. citizen and eligible to serve as president. She was born Oct. 20, 1964, according to the Biographical Directory of the United States Congress.

Chafetz added that the fact that Harris’s parents are immigrants is “wholly irrelevant.”

Faithful steed, then my response is simple: Many would be wrong.

The Constitution is the supreme law of the land. In defining who can be president, the founders used a very specific and well understood legal term (in bold below):

“No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President...”

There is a CLEAR distinction between a “Natural Born Citizen” and a Citizen in general, one made ONLY for the presidency and no other office elsewhere, ie Article I, Section 2: “No Person shall be a Representative who shall not have attained to the Age of twenty five Years, and been seven Years a Citizen of the United States…”

Obviously the founders understood that a crucial difference existed. And so we must reference what they would have referenced, which was Emerich de Vattel’s “Law of Nations” (1758), which states “…natural born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens.” Jus soli citizenship (born on the soil of a nation); Jus sanguinis citizenship (blood inherited citizenship, also called Native Born citizenship);

This helps explain why the founders had a different, stricter requirement for the presidency – to keep a much smaller pool of people for an office that should be filled only by one person every four years, while providing a larger pool for congress (of which many people would be needed). If a “natural born citizen” was the same as a “regular” citizen then the issue would be moot.

Vattel's definition of “natural born citizen” is the purest form of citizenship - which the founders and framers understood and demanded of the president. The president must be a citizen born in the US to parents who were both citizens of the US.

Plenty of time yet. Bidum says we just have to be patient with the ballot counting.
It might take weeks.
