"The City of Gainesville, Florida and the United Nations Association
will raise a UN Flag at City Hall at 7am, October 25th."

Apparently they have a UNITED NATIONS ASSOCIATION
OF GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA, that is sponsoring this garbage.

This is totally nauseating. :kk2:

Does anyone know of other towns that are or planning to fly the comrades flag?

This happens every year in Lansing Michigan complete with Militia and other patriot groups protesting the whole thing. It even go on the TV news the first couple of years. I think this makes year 10. Anybody know for sure?

It's not quite as bad as it seems. There are more than a few of us that want that rag pulled down and burned. Unfortunetly we would have to hurt some cops to do so. It is also regretful that all of the U.F. students are counted as residents and vote quite liberal in the local elections.

They've been raising that thing here in Gainesville for at least the last four or five years now, maybe longer. It wouldn't rate a page four paragraph in the Sun were it not for the protesters. I'm not happy with it but this is a university town and like all major university towns the last surviving American Marxists have sought refuge here and occasionally find ways to express themselves.

I think the best way to deal with this matter is to ignore them which is what we should also be doing with the occasional KKK "rallies" where three Klan members show up and three hundred protestors greet them. Neither TV20 nor the Gainesville Sun are going to send anyone to cover three guys in sheets nor twelve people in the United Nations Association but you know they'll provide coverage if enough protestors show up. Without coverage these guys will wither away.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner, but I haven't had much of an existence these last several weeks as I get the new house in shape for us to move in.
