Misc New PAW fiction Fire From the Sky now available

Fire From the Sky, the first book in my new PAW series, went on sale yesterday. I have had numerous requests that I get 'back' to PAW somewhere along the line, and so I have.

This was a project I worked on for about two years off and on, making no telling how many changes along the way. Unlike my other Post Apoc stuff, Fire From the Sky is written to be a series. At this point it is rather open ended and I'm making a list of torments to put my protagonist through

I promised several people I would post a link here when I had it, so here ya go!

Were you just interviewed on the radio? The name of your lead character sticks in my head and a think I heard it on the radio.

Once again, Bad, I have to thank you for a lack of sleep as I stayed up too late reading your stories. Only downside is having to wait for more! Thanks for sharing your gift with us and may your stories never be realized in real life...thanks again

Just picked this up and really enjoying it. Well done BK and thanks for letting us know it was out! Already looking forward to your next! :)

ETA: Say Bad, I bought this for my Kindle app but wanted to continue reading on my PC. Apparently you have to let Amazon know to make it available on the Cloud (if you want to do that). Otherwise that option to download to the cloud is 'grayed out' in the drop-down options. Just FYI ~ Thanks again for the story!

I will pass that on to the publisher. It may have been an error, I don't know. I don't use Cloud so I can't say one way or another about it. I just don't know. Thanks for the information!

Just finished Parno's Gambit. When will you start on another? Am reading Birds of a Feather right now, it is just as awesome as the first!

I work on multiple projects at once, but the second Fire book and third Stormcrow book will all but certainly be released before the next Parno novel. Parno novels are much more involved and take a great deal longer to write, in part because it's so difficult to keep them straight. I plan for all three to be released this year if possible, though due to editing and proofing time, the last may not be available until after the new year.

I hope you enjoy the work.

For those of you who were asking, book two in this series, "Brotherhood of Fire", is now available on Amazon. Thanks for your interest and your feedback.

And yes, Leon is still kicking, lol.

Bought it, devoured it and want to turn a certain character over my knee and give her a good "whompin!"

Once again, bad- excellent story/writing. Can't wait for more!!

Excellent book, Karma! Up to 20% right now, and won't stop until I've finished it. Will write a good review when I'm done. You need to kick in the afterburner, and get the next in line done! Thanks for the great read! And yes, I do buy what I read. Great writers are a rarity. Outside of sci-fy and fantasy, this is the first PAW I've found that I like, since TOM died. Well Done, Sir.

God Bless You and Yours,

Outstanding novel, Fire from the Sky. Like the first, just bought Fire From the Sky: Brotherhood of Fire. Will have to wait until tomorrow, to begin reading it. Being an old man, I need some sleep...

Well Done, bad_karma00! Haven't read your other books, yet, but will start to budget for them... I do believe we need to support our authors, and you're a good example of that! Review at Amazon Kindle... Five out of Five Stars!

Finished reading Fire From the Sky: Brotherhood of Fire this morning... WOW!!! Thank-You, Sir! Can't wait for each new book in the series!!! You are a reader's treasure, Sir! Haven't been so engrossed in a series of very real, plausible novels, in many years! Will be budgeting toward collecting all of your works, via Kindle (I live in a small apartment, so have very, very few hardcopy books). You've cost me two nights in "The Reader's Land of No Sleep..." Your work is, frankly, addictive. And, I'll confess in advance, I'll give in to it... I only review those things that I buy, and I believe in supporting "good" authors. You, Sir, are a Great Author! Jerry D. Young, TOM, FleaTaxi, Grand, as well as others too numerous to list, - all got me on the road down PAW fiction. Damned few have been able to keep the quality up, from beginning to end, and still remain plausible, believable, and "real."

Thank-You, Sir, and God Bless You and Yours...

BTW, just be glad your dog and cats DON'T answer you- you'll suddenly KNOW that you work for them!

Dear Mr. BadKarma, I have just finished your second installment of "Fire in the Sky". I've also read "Stormcrow" and your "House of Tyree" stories.

Because of you I've had to install a seat belt on my favorite reading chair. Disaster in my PAW world is running out of story, paper plates and microwave food at the same time. It always comes in threes.

Let me know where to send the 20 pounds of chocolate covered expresso beans to help you write moar story. I'm ready.
Thank you. My review will be up soon on your N.C.Reed Amazon page.

Bad_Karma00, Good Morning, Sir!

Just realized I'd read your first two Black Sheep books, in paperback! Likewise, just found out that you have a third, now on Kindle! Why I didn't make the connection to your new Fire in the Sky books, I don't know... That damned stroke in '14 really did mess me up...

As I've said previously, you are, Sir, a treasure! Will there be more Parno McLeod novels? And if so, when? Could be a race- whether I live long enough to read them!

God Bless You and Yours, Sir!

Thank you so much for those kind words! And yes, Lord willing I live that long there should be at least three more Parno novels. They take much longer to write due to the scope of Parno's world and the massive number of characters involved, but I am working on #4 even now. Typically I manage one Parno novel a year, give or take, though I do finish usually at least three to four other projects that are not so long in that same time frame.

I'm delighted that you enjoy them and will make sure and announce on this thread when the next book, tentatively entitled "Parno's Peril", is available.

Thanks again!

Does your publisher sell straight to your readers. I am not a fan of my Kindle, it could drive me to drink.

I have been reading paper for 74 years, Usually have 2 or 3 open and go back and forth on the stories.

Love your stories, especially Odd Billy Todd and hate to wait for Amazon to carry the next book on paper.

Russell,

If you click on the link in bad's OP, it goes to Amazon where it gives you the choice to get the first book as a kindle, hard cover or paperback.

There are now three of books in the series. All of them are "Fire from the Sky." The first one is "The Sanders Saga." The second one, I think, is the "Brotherhood of Fire." Which would leave the third, "Trial by Fire." It looks like the second and third of the series are not in paperback or hard cover yet.

I, too, would rather have the books in paper. (hint, hint for bad!)

Thanks Sammy

I was really wondering if I could order the paper books direct from the publishing house rather than waiting for Amazon to carry them. I already have most of the paper that AZ carries. I'm just wishing that I could get all the paper ones that currently only on Kindle at Amazon.

Thanks

Both are now available in paperback. I think there are plans to offer them in hardcover as well, but I'm not positive. And both are available as audiobooks, as well.
