Amid the massive surge in illegal immigration under Joe Biden, TX Gov. Greg Abbott ordered the construction of a floating buoy barrier to STOP ILLEGALS from entering Texas.

Texas has deployed THOUSANDS of National Guard soldiers as well as state troopers down to the border.

Not entirely immune, but likely as close as it gets.

By road, taking the main interstate, it's 2,300 miles from El Paso. Go a 100 miles further, and there is mostly sparsely populated areas that have no social services. Illegals have been coming, here, in very small numbers at a time, for a couple of decades. Hard workers that pay rent, even though it may be a fairly crowed rental house. I'm thinking by word of mouth more come, only when they hear that there is work and a place to rent. I basically only see these people on Sundays, figuring many are working the other 6 days.

While the ultra-liberals up here constantly rally for immigration rights, they are the group that despises them the most, and don't want them in their community. With a good mix of Whites, Hispanics, Blacks, and Asians, most people get along OK. But no one wants panhandlers around. And, the legal Hispanics, who far a outnumber the illegals, don't want them coming either.

Also, it's my guess that New York City is a giant buffer. It will absorb almost all of them, and few will venture north and east of the city.

Just In: New York Governor Kathy Hochul is calling on the Biden administration to expedite work visas, give up federal land to build homes for illegals, give them food assistance, schooling assistance, health care, and free transportation.

It’s estimated that this will cost taxpayers billions and will still ignore the fact that New York has one of the largest populations of homeless Americans in the country. Many of them are being denied shelter, mental health care, and other assistance.

When do we start putting Americans first again?

There have been over 1.5 million gotaways under Biden admin. There are very few BP agents to patrol this area, and this plays out every day. The evaders typically have pin drops on their cell phones showing where to go for smuggling pick ups once in the U.S. We did see one woman get caught by agents.

Elon Musk’s Boring Company has a lot of tunnels under Las Vegas so I understand. His Boring equipment works. Horizontal tunneling maybe 100 feet down just north of the border. Miles of big tunnel 100 feet down. Now collapse the tunnel. Should result in a miles long pit.

I am sure that there are many creative ways to block miles of border and slow down the invasion. Deport Illegals. Stop all Western Union and other transactions sending remittances south of the border - that will save billions. Immediately shut down and fine businesses using Illegal labor. Imprison landlords renting out houses for swarms of Illegals. Stop voting for so-called social democrats/communists. One paper ballot. One vote.

Lots that can be done easily. Just requires honest government and we have not had that in a long, long time.
And since none of my pipe dream is going to happen, follow the advice of Ractivist above - buy food. And find a like minded community before it goes a great deal hotter.

I suspect many of these women/children are heading for their husbands/ fathers.
Also, Mexicans take pity on the migrants and toss water and food to them; that is why they have their arms out.
