New York City is one of the worst liberal strongholds in the country and both city and state leaders were clearly embarrassed by this video going viral and they want payback.

Many of the people in the audience were retired. Not much anyone will do to them.
If the active guys weren’t in uniform, not much they can do to them either.
What can they reeducate them on. Bad manners?
If the city does something stupid. They are going to pay out big time.

She’s worked on many political campaigns for democrats and even oversaw the complete diversification of the FDNY. Her office has made it clear that anyone who was involved in booing James will be “educated” on proper conduct.

Why is a woman who’s never served as a firefighter serving as the Commander?

Decorum would suggest that this was not the proper time or place to heckle or boo James. I get that.

With that said, how many times have Leftists failed to observe decorum? And Pelosi was on national TV doing it, by ripping up Trump's SOTU speech. They never get called out over it.

A violation of first amendment rights. If anything they need to address who ever has been charged with investigating and find out who ordered them to do it and follow the chain of command that will lead to the state attorney general.
The idea they must be fired from their job if they refuse to under go what amounts to reprograming/brain washing by a over reaching public servant.
The fire men need to collectively ban tougher and start writing letters to have her license to practice law revoked.
If they pull that off the attorney will no longer have a job and rendered powerless against the people.

And to comment on Groucho's note, the gals who integrated the FD, if they STAYED in the Hose Heads realm (rather than FD Ambulance folks) were JUST as Alpha as the guys.

It was VERY interesting times as they integrated. OR so I was reliably informed.

I worked in NYC as part of a small team supporting their Special Ops Battalion during the flight 587 crash recovery operations. It was fun to watch the fire guys dog the EMS crews. We learned to dare not speak well of the EMS guys, let alone help them with anything in the presence of fire guys. There was not a lot of love for them. Anti-EMS graffiti everywhere.

I know a few FDNY guys- one of my best friends in high school is a Lieutenant and looking to retire when he hits his 20 in a few months. Another friend retired last year after 25 years. In the past, guys only retired if they got hurt or physically couldn’t do the job anymore. It was common to see guys do 35-40 years because they loved their job and the department. The old salts aren’t sticking around anymore. There are hardly any pre 9/11 guys anymore. And not because of health problems, ptsd, etc., but because It is a political zoo. They even have a tough time getting quality applicants.
