Man Arrested At Calexico Port With 17 Illegal Chinese Nationals

US Customs and Border Protection officers arrested a Mexicali man early Friday morning at the Calexico port of entry.
Officials say 55-year-old Alejandro Perez was driving across the border in a 1979 Ford van. That's when a custom's dog alerted agents to check inside the back of the vehicle.
Agents then found 17 illegal Chinese nationals in the back of the van under several blackets. Officials say there were three women, thirteen men and a boy.
Agents say the illegals are now in custody. They'll be used as witnesses for this case. Perez is in county jail awaiting arraignment.
