Thank you for the heads up, read this earlier and made a dash to Sam's, WM, Aldi, and Fareway to top off.
I DESPISE spending the amount of money it takes, on those items.... it truly lights my a** on fire. The same money I could be using for food, on that stuff truly annoys me.Thank you for the heads up, read this earlier and made a dash to Sam's, WM, Aldi, and Fareway to top off. Mostly what we got were dried goods as in laundry soap, dawn, trash bags, and the like, so did our quarterly shopping a month and a half earlier than we typically do. I'll go over to the shortages threads and tell y'all about the wholes I saw while out this afternoon.

Good Lord, I’d have been cussing and crying the whole way home lol. !!!Same here, and we didn't buy anything fancy and spent about $229, and that was just at Sam's. I barely had three bags of food from Aldi and that cost us $48, sigh.
So glad you did that! Others from out of the area, including Minnesota, have been traveling to our area and buying what they can.

Oh, and spitting.
Cussing crying and spittin
Good advice but I’m not “angry in general” lol!Maybe this will help. You need to balance "household products" with your time. Yes, you can save a ton of money making your own cleaners, reusing trash bags, and simply doing less, but do you really want to live like that?
I don't, nor do I want to spend an entire afternoon trying to get the kitchen degreased with crappy homemade stuff. There are other ways to save money: janitor supply house, bulk buys at Sam's, bulk buys at Lowe's . . . don't want to drift too much here, but if you put your thinking cap on do some research, you might find some answers that make sense for your situation.
Life is too short to be so angry and upset. Hope you can get away from the Internet tomorrow and spend some time walking in the woods!
Over the years of reading warnings, scary articles, economic fluctuations, and dire predictions, who, here, feels like the current state of affairs is definitely the worst?
On a scale of 5-10, is this one a 10?...9?...

I love your channel! Have bought several things from your review of them. Very much appreciated.
It's higher than normal and the selections are limited, but there is still some Mountain House pouches and a few #10 cans on AmazonWow. Mountain House is next.
I would suggest people get on Amazon and some of the other online sales sites and check out some of the lesser known camp food brands such as Peak and a few others like Good To Go and Backpacker's Pantry.
I would say people with special diets should be doing this pronto pronto.
Another alternative is of course make your own but you aren't going to get a 20+ year storage life out of them.

about to get very serious
Considering the fact that a lot of wars start when one or more countries don't have the "consumables" (Food, Fuel, Power, and other supplies) to make it through the next few months, ESPECIALLY at the start of winter... And considering that NUMEROUS countries in the Northern Hemisphere are already talking about having food and/or grid power issues... And considering that shipping those "consumables" right now has become a bad game of chance...
And considering the sheer number of places that either have "holes on the shelves", or "We aren't going to be getting that back in for a while" messages, or that the price has doubled if they do have certain things... Yes, it's bad. Now throw in most countries are trying some level of lockdown on it's civilians, including the use of their military in the aid of both the lockdowns as well as the control aspects of all of the other mandates and demands, AND at the same time are also practicing landing military planes on their highways around the country, and you really start pushing a 7-10 or higher.
When whatever "go" signal happens, you can bet your bottom dollar (and all of the other ones you ever had), that they will be unleashing every last drop of "hell on earth" that they can, including BLM, Antifa, Anarchists, Socialists, Commies, Illegals, Gang members, Drug cartel, and whoever else would fight to bring down the US. A LOT of countries and other groups want the US out of the picture and off the global stage. Drop the US Dollar from the world's reserve currency group, stop sending anything here (except foreign troops and supplies for the groups above), and start hacking every PLC, SCADA, Servers (Cloud and onsite), IoT, Network, and anything else that looks "juicy", and watch the Chit$how burst into flames.
I do think Augason (and others) are having supply issues. But I also think that a LOT of people that haven't even thought about preparing have started to come to their senses and realize that they better start with what they can get their hands on. I have seen more people grabbing "Prepper" type magazines as well as doing online searches at their jobs in the last two months that EVER before, and people that you would not expect to see interested in those topics. Personally, I would love to see the YTD/S/W (Year to Date by Store by Week) inventory stock movements (what is received and sold in the stores over the last 365 days, broken down by store (think location) then by week) for the following stores:
Kroger
Wegmans
Food Lion
Walmart
Home Depot
Lowe's
Ace hardware
Service Star
Costco
Sam's Club
I fully believe the data of what is being sold now, versus just a few months ago, would show all sorts of people "waking up" and starting to plan. WHAT it shows them buying would also be very enlightening as well. The question is, are they getting what they NEED, versus what they are reading or learning about. The other interesting things is if they are getting prepared mentally and spiritually for what is coming, because without the MINDSET and HEARTSET, your TOOLSET and SUPPLYSET is going to be worthless.
For example, having a Tourniquet (or a few) is great, knowing how to use it correctly, and having the MINDSET to keep calm when you need it most is what is actually going to save the life of someone. Having PALLETS of long term storage food is great for post TSHTF, but if you don't have the equipment to cook it, and the ability to keep water coming, or to be able to keep warm through the winter with no power, you are still going to die with a lot of food left on pallets for someone else to use that DOES know how to do all of the other things. And learning about how to do those things AFTER TSHTF may also cost you or someone you love their lives. Learn it now, PRACTICE it now, and then when you find out what supplies and consumables you are missing, THEN GO SHOPPING.
ETA: Think about the fact that MANY in DC have said that it is just fine to print whatever money they need or want. And others in DC have OPENLY talked about "valuing" a ~$1000 coin with the face value of $1,000,000,000,000. That is a BILLION to one offset ratio of our nation's currency and shows just how far off they are willing to admit their FIAT currency is worthless. That should scare ANYONE into starting to think about their near term future if they have not already and they have ANY working grey matter upstairs.
Subscribe also....will make time tomorrow to watch!!Thank you, just subscribed , looking forward to listening

You can't do better on prices and shipping than the LDS website. What they have is basic, and getting thinner all the time, but bare bones staples that will stretch everything else you have, and you won't go hungry. (If you know how to cook/bake from scratch). OTOH, if you are looking for reasonably priced ready-meals like freeze dried Chili Mac or Beef Stroganoff, there's probably not much help for ya anymore.

Wow, how cool is that! I've been watching your channel for awhile now. Thanks for your efforts.
Most of the things showing as available on the main page are out of stock when placed in the cart with normal delivery time of up to six months (Prime). So in short... 'and it's gone' is the takeaway message.Amazon still has plenty of Augason Farms foods available in #10 cans in stock that they ship from their warehouses but it won't be there for long. If you need to top off do it today before the word gets disseminated further.

There were 10 pails of Lentils left, now down to 8.Ah, didn't go that far to track it down. It just showed Prime delivery by the end of the week so I thought everything was in stock.
Costco online still has a fair amout of Mountain House and Nutristore in stock in their Emergency Supplies section. Prices are better than most places.
Stopped by the local lds store here and asked about business since the AF news, they said no real change yet. This info from Augason is posted in several places on the forum now, and it's good to spread it far and wide.
I walked into our spare room/pantry/storage room, and figured I could probably squeeze a little more in as long as I stack it on the floor next to the storage racks.
I just placed an order online for several cases of items at the LDS store online:
Food Storage | United States Store (churchofjesuschrist.org)
I can't say enough good things about these folks. My dear niece, who married into an LDS (now Church of Jesus Christ) family, became a member, and passed about a decade ago, taught us about the Church's food storage program over 30 years ago. She also got us several items to try from the cannery back when they still did the ward canning sessions. From her I first learned about Emergency Essentials (beprepared.com), which I believe is now part of the Augason family. I didn't see any notice about delays there. The LDS store is out of stock on some items, but some are still in stock. They are extremely helpful, and we've always been pleased with their products.
If you are lucky enough to have an LDS store near you, double check their hours and don't hesitate to visit. Our nearest one is a good 2+ hrs away, but it's worth a trip and we usually go a few times a year. I would not be surprised if they limit their sales to LDS member only, but to my knowledge it hasn't happened yet. They really do believe in helping everyone prepare, not just their own members.
Don't wait, folks, this is becoming beyond serious now, and it's real.
