Here at Owner's farm we're only a little more than 10 miles to the coast. One could walk to the seashore but combined with the return trip it would occupy a good part of your day.
On days before a storm, seagulls gather in my field.
Funny, despite all the hype about Hurricane/Tropical Storm Lee, we saw no seagulls.
And - this may have been revealed in the storm path which was considerably more "offshore" than even the usual northeast storm.
Yesterday the wind was Northeast. Last night the wind was North. And today the wind has abated at the time I write this but Intellicast shows a turn to the Northwest - the typical post-summer wind direction and a seasonal prevailing wind for here.
As in - a rainy day.
And one wonders how those National Guard that were called to duty in Massachusetts were making out with their "storm rescue?" That is in addition to their help at "Migrant Shelters."
