ENVR Maine Lobstermen seeing something odd ahead of Hurricane. 1:41 seconds, tired birds, being forced ahead of the hurricane.

Faithful Steed
Here at Owner's farm we're only a little more than 10 miles to the coast. One could walk to the seashore but combined with the return trip it would occupy a good part of your day.

On days before a storm, seagulls gather in my field.

Funny, despite all the hype about Hurricane/Tropical Storm Lee, we saw no seagulls.

And - this may have been revealed in the storm path which was considerably more "offshore" than even the usual northeast storm.

Yesterday the wind was Northeast. Last night the wind was North. And today the wind has abated at the time I write this but Intellicast shows a turn to the Northwest - the typical post-summer wind direction and a seasonal prevailing wind for here.

As in - a rainy day.

And one wonders how those National Guard that were called to duty in Massachusetts were making out with their "storm rescue?" That is in addition to their help at "Migrant Shelters."

National Weather Service officials do not expect the hurricane to make landfall in Massachusetts; Tropical Storm Warning in effect along the state’s coast

So who hoofs the bill for both of these National Guard turn-outs?

Pride comes before the fall.....Pride month ended.
Reminds me of the whale anomaly, where they swim to the beach and die? I could see radio frequency's having the same effect on birds as other animals....does make one wonder. We will see if there are any earthquakes.

Weird how YT gets around.
I watched that last night.
Those are the same birds that fly in erratic flocks twice a year here in Ga. They love to eat the berries on the holly's but they also fly into the windows. Every time I hear a thud I know what it was and I run outside to see if it's ok.
Had the berries fermented?

Old Gray Mare

TB Fanatic
Growing up home was a few miles inland from brackish salt water marsh. The size of the storm seemed to determine the number of seagulls on the middle school lawn.

Neither here nor there.
Weather modification screwing with the birds?

Snort... weather modification... it's a freaking hurricane, hurricanes mess with the wildlife and even domestic critters. If you've never been in a hurricane then you won't understand the sounds they create, the winds, etc. Right now birds are migrating to southern locales for the winter. I'm surprised there weren't even more types of birds that were seen doing weird things... sorta like last week when those flamingos wound in in Ohio and Pennsylvania after another hurricane blew them off course.

On The Level
The birds were driven out to see ahead of the hurricane and infected with bird flu and driven back on the eastern seaboard as a bio-weapon.

The hurricane that hit Florida 2 weeks ago blew a flock of flamingos into our area
