Madonna booed after touting Obama in La. Concert

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Madonna drew boos and triggered a walkout by several concertgoers after she touted President Barack Obama on her "MDNA Tour" in New Orleans.

The Material Girl asked during Saturday night's performance: "Who's registered to vote?" She added: "I don't care who you vote for as long as you vote for Obama." Drawing boos in touting Obama over Republican Mitt Romney, Madonna followed: "Seriously, I don't care who you vote for ... Do not take this privilege for granted. Go vote."

Madonna is often outspoken. Some Colorado fans, mindful of a mass shooting there, complained she used a fake gun to shoot a masked gunman in a recent concert act in Denver. A Madonna concert in Paris in July drew ire when a video showed a swastika on a politician's forehead.

Cannot figure out why so many performers are for Obama-are they afraid Romney is going to take their money? At least Ted Nugent has got it right...LOL

She gets more desperate in her concerts for attention all the time. She is nobody! Can't believe people will still actually go to her concerts. She doesn't even live here any more so what does she care who gets elected. Guess they will use whoever they can to get O re-elected.

I didn't see this thread when I posted on just this subject.

My daughters went to that concert and it happened just as reported. The only thing they didn't say was that Madonna looked a little shocked when so many booooed at the mention of voting for Obama. After standing there looking dumfounded she turned around and made like she was going to moon the crowd but changed her mind and laughed it off. They both said they were so disgusted at her performance and wished they didn't go. (Especially after waiting for 2 HOURS past the time she was supposed to go on!)

I suspect they got it out of their system that their teenybopper idol was such a dissapointment along with the fact that she didn't sing the songs of the past. Blamed it on the record industry making her do them and goes against her sensabilities or something like that. Sheesh. Like she's got morals or high standards. What a maroon!!
