JOE BIDEN

Biden told by GOP state AGs they're willing to sue if administration oversteps authority

West Virginia led the group of 6 states in the warning to the new president
Tyler Olson

By Tyler Olson | Fox News

A coalition of six red states led by West Virginia sent a letter to the Biden administration Wednesday saying that they're watching its actions closely and willing to sue if they believe the new president is doing anything that runs afoul of individual rights, federal law or the Constitution.

The group of Republican states was led by West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey. The message comes after blue states for four years inundated the Trump administration with lawsuits. California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, who is now President Biden's nominee for Health and Human Services secretary, filed more than 100 lawsuits against the Trump administration.

"The President cannot cut constitutional corners or shirk statutory strictures without inevitably doing more harm to our country than good," the letter says. "

By this letter we respectfully urge you when pursuing your policy priorities to honor the core constitutional tenets which should be appreciated and respected by every person entrusted with the honor and burdens of the presidency."

The letter warns the Biden administration that the states are willing to pursue legal action if they believe the federal government is violating individual constitutional rights; exceeding limits on its powers; Biden is grabbing too much power for himself; or if the administrative state is not being held in check.

"We stand ready to meet with your administration to discuss more how the issues below affect our states; litigation is never a first option, and we would like to help your team in its important job on behalf of all Americans, consistent with the Constitution and the rule of law," the letter says. "Yet if you sign unconstitutional laws passed by Congress, it will be our responsibility and duty to challenge those laws and court."

The letter also says that if executive officials or agencies" go beyond the bounds of their statutory authority, fail to follow legally required procedures, or fall short of the bedrock Administrative Procedure Act obligation of reasoned decision making, it will likewise be our responsibility to take action."

The coalition of states also includes the state attorneys general of Alaska, Arkansas, Indiana, Mississippi, Montana and Texas. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton grabbed headlines in the aftermath of the presidential election with an ill-fated Supreme Court case that aimed to invalidate the results of the presidential election in four states that voted for Biden. All of the states on the Wednesday letter but Alaska backed Texas' case.

The Biden administration is off to a fast start with executive orders -- the president signed 22 executive orders as of Tuesday. The most executive orders any president signed in his first 10 days besides Biden was former President Trump, who signed 6.

Biden's orders have touched on transgender people serving in the military, the coronavirus pandemic, private prisons, revoking Trump's 1776 Commission and much more.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Thursday morning said Republican members of Congress have threatened violence on other members of Congress.

Pelosi is growing increasingly paranoid after the Democrats stole the White House and Senate with voter fraud.

Thousands of troops are currently surrounding the Capitol building but Pelosi called for more security on Thursday.

“The enemy is within the House of Representatives,” she said, referring to Republican lawmakers.

Without naming any names, Pelosi accused Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) of being a threat to other members of Congress for wanting to carry her firearm around DC and the Hill.

Pelosi also said Trump’s January 6 speech where he specifically called for peace and law and order is what’s fanning the flames.

“We have members of Congress that want to bring guns on the floor and have threatened violence on other members of Congress,” Pelosi.

WOW! Ted Cruz Reaches a Hand Across the Aisle to Agree with Ocasio-Cortez on Populist Investor Uprising – AOC Bites Off His Head, Accuses Him of Attempted Murder, Tells Him to Resign

By Jim Hoft
Published January 28, 2021 at 1:11pm

Earlier today the Robinhood trading app blocked trading of GME stocks citing “market volatility” as its reason for delisting support for securities including GameStop, AMC, Blackberry and Nokia.

The Wall Street hedge funds were going bust and thousands of small-time investors were making too much money.

As MSN Money reported the move sparked outrage on Twitter and the Reddit community r/WallStreetBets, which was at the center of a stock-trading storm this week after its members poured money into the retail company GameStop in order to disrupt hedge fund short sellers.

AOC-angry-600x406.jpg

Donald Trump Jr. and Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez both chimed in on this move to screw the small investor.

Later this morning Senator Ted Cruz jumped in and agreed with Ocasio Cortez.
It was something they could both agree on, right?
Fully agree. https://t.co/rW38zfLYGh

But AOC bit his head off.

Ocasio Cortez accused Cruz of attempted murder and demanded he resign from the senate.

This was because Cruz challenged the fraudulent election results.

Then she accused Cruz of the suicide of a second police officer.

WOW!
While you conveniently talk about “moving on,” a second Capitol police officer lost their life yesterday in the still-raging aftermath of the attacks you had a role in.
This isn’t a joke. We need accountability, and that includes a new Senator from Texas.Second police officer died by suicide following Capitol attack

AOC is one sick individual. That’s just wickedly insane.

Facebook Oversight Overturns Four Out Of Five Cases In Victory For Free Speech

THURSDAY, JAN 28, 2021 - 13:17
Facebook's Oversight Board - comprised of 20 journalists, politicians and judges from around the world - has overturned four out of five cases in which the social media giant removed posts for violating its policies on hate speech, violence or other issues, according to NBC News.

The first-ever rulings do not include whether or not to overturn former President Trump's account in the wake of the Jan. 6 Capitol riots, which the oversight board will consider in the weeks ahead.

Facebook says it will abide by the board's decisions.
Formed last year and tasked with passing judgement on decisions made by the social media giant's overwhelmingly liberal moderators, the Oversight Board claims total independence - and based on Thursday's rulings - appears to favor free speech over woke activism.

"For all board members, you start with the supremacy of free speech," said board member Alan Rusbridger, former editor-in-chief of the Guardian. "Then you look at each case and say, what's the cause in this particular case why free speech should be curtailed?"

The first round of cases involved posts which were removed for violating policies. Not only were 80% of them overturned, the board called on Facebook to provide users with greater clarity over its policies and how it plans to enforce them, according to the report.

The cases (via NBC News):
In the first case, Facebook had removed a post from a user in Myanmar who appeared to disparage Muslims as psychologically inferior. While the company decided that the post violated its policy, the board ruled that terms used "were not derogatory or violent."
"While the post might be considered pejorative or offensive towards Muslims, it did not advocate hatred or intentionally incite any form of imminent harm," the board wrote.
In the second case, a user posted a term to describe Azerbaijanis that Facebook interpreted as a slur. The board similarly ruled that "the context in which the term was used makes clear it was meant to dehumanize its target," and upheld Facebook's decision.
The third case pertained to nudity: the board overturned Facebook’s decision to remove an Instagram post from a user in Brazil intended to raise awareness about breast cancer. The post included five photographs that showed women’s nipples, which the board declared permissible in light of Facebook’s own policy exception for “breast cancer awareness.”
The fourth case pertained to violence: One user quoted Joseph Goebbels, the Nazi propagandist who is on Facebook’s list of “dangerous individuals.” Facebook policy states that quotes attributed to such individuals are an expression of support for that individual unless otherwise stated. But the board said the quote “did not support the Nazi party’s ideology or the regime’s acts of hate and violence.”
The fifth and final case pertained to misinformation: Facebook had removed a post from a user in France that falsely claimed a cure for Covid-19 existed and criticized the French government for failing to make it available. Facebook said the post could lead people to ignore health guidance or attempt to self-medicate.
The board, considering the context of the user's post, argued that the user was “opposing a governmental policy and aimed to change that policy,” and that his post would not lead people to self-medicate since the combination of those medicines was not available without a prescription.
Is this the beginning of the un-wokening? Only time will tell.

Whitehead: Enemies Of The Deep State - The Government's War On Domestic Terrorism Is A Trap

THURSDAY, JAN 28, 2021 - 0:00
Authored by John Whitehead and Nisha Whitehead via The Rutherford Institute,
This is an issue that all Democrats, Republicans, independents, Libertarians should be extremely concerned about, especially because we don’t have to guess about where this goes or how this ends. What characteristics are we looking for as we are building this profile of a potential extremist, what are we talking about? Religious extremists, are we talking about Christians, evangelical Christians, what is a religious extremist? Is it somebody who is pro-life? [The proposed legislation could create] a very dangerous undermining of our civil liberties, our freedoms in our Constitution, and a targeting of almost half of the country.
- Tulsi Gabbard, former Congresswoman
This is how it begins.

We are moving fast down that slippery slope to an authoritarian society in which the only opinions, ideas and speech expressed are the ones permitted by the government and its corporate cohorts.

In the wake of the Jan. 6 riots at the Capitol, “domestic terrorism” has become the new poster child for expanding the government’s powers at the expense of civil liberties.

Of course, “domestic terrorist” is just the latest bull’s eye phrase, to be used interchangeably with “anti-government,” “extremist” and “terrorist,” to describe anyone who might fall somewhere on a very broad spectrum of viewpoints that could be considered “dangerous.”

Watch and see: we are all about to become enemies of the state.

In a déjà vu mirroring of the legislative fall-out from 9/11, and the ensuing build-up of the security state, there is a growing demand in certain sectors for the government to be given expanded powers to root out “domestic” terrorism, the Constitution be damned.

If this is a test of Joe Biden’s worthiness to head up the American police state, he seems ready.

As part of his inaugural address, President Biden pledged to confront and defeat “a rise of political extremism, white supremacy, domestic terrorism.” Biden has also asked the Director of National Intelligence to work with the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security in carrying out a “comprehensive threat assessment” of domestic terrorism. And then to keep the parallels going, there is the proposed Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2021, introduced after the Jan. 6 riots, which aims to equip the government with “the tools to identify, monitor and thwart” those who could become radicalized to violence.

Don’t blink or you’ll miss the sleight of hand.

This is the tricky part of the Deep State’s con game that keeps you focused on the shell game in front of you while your wallet is being picked clean by ruffians in your midst.

It follows the same pattern as every other convenient “crisis” used by the government as an excuse to expand its powers at the citizenry’s expense and at the expense of our freedoms.

As investigative journalist Glenn Greenwald warns:
“The last two weeks have ushered in a wave of new domestic police powers and rhetoric in the name of fighting ‘terrorism’ that are carbon copies of many of the worst excesses of the first War on Terror that began nearly twenty years ago. This New War on Terror—one that is domestic in name from the start and carries the explicit purpose of fighting ‘extremists’ and ‘domestic terrorists’ among American citizens on U.S. soil—presents the whole slew of historically familiar dangers when governments, exploiting media-generated fear and dangers, arm themselves with the power to control information, debate, opinion, activism and protests.
Greenwald is referring to the USA Patriot Act, passed almost 20 years ago, which paved the way for the eradication of every vital safeguard against government overreach, corruption and abuse.

Free speech, the right to protest, the right to challenge government wrongdoing, due process, a presumption of innocence, the right to self-defense, accountability and transparency in government, privacy, press, sovereignty, assembly, bodily integrity, representative government: all of these and more have become casualties in the government’s war on the American people, a war that has grown more pronounced since Sept. 11, 2001.

Some members of Congress get it.

In a letter opposing expansion of national security powers, a handful congressional representatives urged their colleagues not to repeat the mistakes of the past:
“While many may find comfort in increased national security powers in the wake of this attack, we must emphasize that we have been here before and we have seen where that road leads. Our history is littered with examples of initiatives sold as being necessary to fight extremism that quickly devolve into tools used for the mass violation of the human and civil rights of the American people… To expand the government’s national security powers once again at the expense of the human and civil rights of the American people would only serve to further undermine our democracy, not protect it.”
Cue the Emergency State, the government’s Machiavellian version of crisis management that justifies all manner of government tyranny in the so-called name of national security.

This is the power grab hiding in plain sight, obscured by the political machinations of the self-righteous elite. This is how the government continues to exploit crises and use them as opportunities for power grabs under the guise of national security. Indeed, this is exactly how the government added red flag gun laws, precrime surveillance, fusion centers, threat assessments, mental health assessments, involuntary confinement to its arsenal of weaponized powers.

The objective is not to make America safe again. That has never been the government’s aim.

Greenwald explains:
“Why would such new terrorism laws be needed in a country that already imprisons more of its citizens than any other country in the world as the result of a very aggressive set of criminal laws? What acts should be criminalized by new ‘domestic terrorism’ laws that are not already deemed criminal? They never say, almost certainly because—just as was true of the first set of new War on Terror laws—their real aim is to criminalize that which should not be criminalized: speech, association, protests, opposition to the new ruling coalition.”
So you see, the issue is not whether Donald Trump or Roger Stone or MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell deserve to be banned from Twitter, even if they’re believed to be spouting misinformation, hateful ideas, or fomenting discontent.

Rather, we should be asking whether any corporation or government agency or entity representing a fusion of the two should have the power to muzzle, silence, censor, regulate, control and altogether eradicate so-called “dangerous” or “extremist” ideas.

This unilateral power to muzzle free speech represents a far greater danger than any so-called right- or left-wing extremist might pose.

The ramifications are so far-reaching as to render almost every American an extremist in word, deed, thought or by association.

Yet where many go wrong is in assuming that you have to be doing something illegal or challenging the government’s authority in order to be flagged as a suspicious character, labeled an enemy of the state and locked up like a dangerous criminal.

Eventually, all you will really need to do is use certain trigger words, surf the internet, communicate using a cell phone, drive a car, stay at a hotel, purchase materials at a hardware store, take flying or boating lessons, appear suspicious, question government authority, or generally live in the United States.

The groundwork has already been laid.
The trap is set.
All that is needed is the right bait.

With the help of automated eyes and ears, a growing arsenal of high-tech software, hardware and techniques, government propaganda urging Americans to turn into spies and snitches, as well as social media and behavior sensing software, government agents have been busily spinning a sticky spider-web of threat assessments, behavioral sensing warnings, flagged “words,” and “suspicious” activity reports aimed at snaring potential enemies of the state.

It’s the American police state’s take on the dystopian terrors foreshadowed by George Orwell, Aldous Huxley and Phillip K. Dick all rolled up into one oppressive pre-crime and pre-thought crime package.

Part 1 of 2

On TB every waking moment
Part 2 of 2

What’s more, the technocrats who run the surveillance state don’t even have to break a sweat while monitoring what you say, what you read, what you write, where you go, how much you spend, whom you support, and with whom you communicate. Computers by way of AI (artificial intelligence) now do the tedious work of trolling social media, the internet, text messages and phone calls for potentially anti-government remarks, all of which is carefully recorded, documented, and stored to be used against you someday at a time and place of the government’s choosing.

For instance, police in major American cities have been using predictive policing technology that allows them to identify individuals—or groups of individuals—most likely to commit a crime in a given community. Those individuals are then put on notice that their movements and activities will be closely monitored and any criminal activity (by them or their associates) will result in harsh penalties.

In other words, the burden of proof is reversed: you are guilty before you are given any chance to prove you are innocent.

Dig beneath the surface of this kind of surveillance/police state, however, and you will find that the real purpose of pre-crime is not safety but control.

Red flag gun laws merely push us that much closer towards a suspect society where everyone is potentially guilty of some crime or another and must be preemptively rendered harmless.

This is the same government that has a growing list—shared with fusion centers and law enforcement agencies—of ideologies, behaviors, affiliations and other characteristics that could flag someone as suspicious and result in their being labeled potential enemies of the state.

For instance, if you believe in and exercise your rights under the Constitution (namely, your right to speak freely, worship freely, associate with like-minded individuals who share your political views, criticize the government, own a weapon, demand a warrant before being questioned or searched, or any other activity viewed as potentially anti-government, racist, bigoted, anarchic or sovereign), you could be at the top of the government’s terrorism watch list.

Moreover, as a New York Times editorial warns, you may be an anti-government extremist (a.k.a. domestic terrorist) in the eyes of the police if you are afraid that the government is plotting to confiscate your firearms, if you believe the economy is about to collapse and the government will soon declare martial law, or if you display an unusual number of political and/or ideological bumper stickers on your car.

According to one FBI latest report, you might also be classified as a domestic terrorism threat if you espouse conspiracy theories, especially if you “attempt to explain events or circumstances as the result of a group of actors working in secret to benefit themselves at the expense of others” and are “usually at odds with official or prevailing explanations of events.”

Additionally, according to Michael C. McGarrity, the FBI’s assistant director of the counterterrorism division, the bureau now “classifies domestic terrorism threats into four main categories: racially motivated violent extremism, anti-government/anti-authority extremism, animal rights/environmental extremism, and abortion extremism.”

In other words, if you dare to subscribe to any views that are contrary to the government’s, you may well be suspected of being a domestic terrorist and treated accordingly.

Again, where many Americans go wrong is in naively assuming that you have to be doing something illegal or harmful in order to be flagged and targeted for some form of intervention or detention.

In fact, U.S. police agencies have been working to identify and manage potential extremist “threats,” violent or otherwise, before they can become actual threats for some time now.

In much the same way that the USA Patriot Act was used as a front to advance the surveillance state, allowing the government to establish a far-reaching domestic spying program that turned every American citizen into a criminal suspect, the government’s anti-extremism program renders otherwise lawful, nonviolent activities as potentially extremist.

In fact, all you need to do these days to end up on a government watch list or be subjected to heightened scrutiny is use certain trigger words (like cloud, pork and pirates), surf the internet, communicate using a cell phone, limp or stutter, drive a car, stay at a hotel, attend a political rally, express yourself on social media, appear mentally ill, serve in the military, disagree with a law enforcement official, call in sick to work, purchase materials at a hardware store, take flying or boating lessons, appear suspicious, appear confused or nervous, fidget or whistle or smell bad, be seen in public waving a toy gun or anything remotely resembling a gun (such as a water nozzle or a remote control or a walking cane), stare at a police officer, question government authority, or appear to be pro-gun or pro-freedom.

Be warned: once you get on such a government watch list—whether it’s a terrorist watch list, a mental health watch list, a dissident watch list, or a red flag gun watch list—there’s no clear-cut way to get off, whether or not you should actually be on there.

You will be tracked wherever you go.
You will be flagged as a potential threat and dealt with accordingly.
This is pre-crime on an ideological scale and it’s been a long time coming.

The government has been building its pre-crime, surveillance network in concert with fusion centers (of which there are 78 nationwide, with partners in the corporate sector and globally), data collection agencies, behavioral scientists, corporations, social media, and community organizers and by relying on cutting-edge technology for surveillance, facial recognition, predictive policing, biometrics, and behavioral epigenetics (in which life experiences alter one’s genetic makeup).

If you’re not scared yet, you should be.

Connect the dots.
Start with the powers amassed by the government under the USA Patriot Act, note the government’s ever-broadening definition of what it considers to be an “extremist,” then add in the government’s detention powers under NDAA, the National Security Agency’s far-reaching surveillance networks, and fusion centers that collect and share surveillance data between local, state and federal police agencies.

To that, add tens of thousands of armed, surveillance drones and balloons that are beginning to blanket American skies, facial recognition technology that will identify and track you wherever you go and whatever you do. And then to complete the picture, toss in the real-time crime centers being deployed in cities across the country, which will be attempting to “predict” crimes and identify so-called criminals before they happen based on widespread surveillance, complex mathematical algorithms and prognostication programs.

Hopefully you’re starting to understand how easy we’ve made it for the government to identify, label, target, defuse and detain anyone it views as a potential threat for a variety of reasons that run the gamut from mental illness to having a military background to challenging its authority to just being on the government’s list of persona non grata.

There’s always a price to pay for standing up to the powers-that-be.

Yet as I make clear in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People, you don’t even have to be a dissident to get flagged by the government for surveillance, censorship and detention.

All you really need to be is a citizen of the American police state.

Leftists Want ‘The Next Ted Cruz Or Josh Hawley’ Exiled From Name-Brand Universities

The American gentry seeks to squash conservatism, the free speech ethos of the university system, and intellectual diversity in our country.

Evita Duffy

By Evita Duffy
JANUARY 28, 2021

An article titled “Instructing Insurrections: How UChicago Can Avoid Creating the Next Ted Cruz” was published on Sunday in “The Chicago Maroon,” a nearly 130-year-old left-wing student newspaper at the University of Chicago.

Replete with obnoxious Ivy League elitism, the article reads like an instruction guide on how to undermine the university’s renowned “Chicago Principles,” which guarantee free speech and open discourse on campus, and how to gaslight conservative students in the classroom. It is also a direct attack on the “Chicago Thinker,” an opposing conservative student newspaper I co-founded this summer, which is the solo voice on campus deviating from its woke orthodoxy.

“We’ve seen the consequences of elevating hateful rhetoric—we have seen it now in the highest echelons of power,” writes student author Kelly Hui. “It begins in our classrooms,” where the Ivy-educated Cruzes and Josh Hawleys “are given the tools they need to acquire and keep power, even if it means promoting fascism and white nationalism.”

“The next Ted Cruz could be walking through the quad right now,” warns Hui. “The future Josh Hawley might be playing devil’s advocate in your [sociology] class. We can prevent such radicalization by reexamining the Chicago principles and prioritizing safety over absolute free speech.”

Horrifying, right? Conservative thought leaders mingling and learning at American’s most distinguished academic institutions, staining their good names and inciting violence with, God forbid, words.

Campuses Purged
In the wake of the left-wing purge of conservative ideas from virtually all public platforms, this is your daily reminder that it isn’t just leaders in the conservative movement being silenced; it’s everyone. Being an undergraduate student at the University of Chicago, I have an up-close and personal understanding of this kind of left-wing cancel culture and intellectual intolerance.

Last March, I participated in a digital initiative of the University of Chicago’s “nonpartisan” Institute of Politics, called “I vote because…” in which students posed with a small whiteboard stating their personal reasons for voting. I wrote, “I vote because the coronavirus won’t destroy America, but socialism will.”

For opposing socialism, I received an onslaught of online hate and real threats of violence. My peers attacked my character, intellect, family, and appearance. I was called a racist and a xenophobe, compared to animals, and told I deserve to be bullied and that I don’t belong at the University of Chicago on account of my beliefs. When I received a death threat from one of my classmates, I decided to write an op-ed, sharing my side of the story and defending what I wrote on my whiteboard.

The summer after the incident, my friend Audrey Unverferth and I decided to launch a conservative newspaper on campus. Acutely aware of the breakdown of free speech and intellectual diversity, we created the publication with a clear objective: “to defend conservative and libertarian perspectives in a community that is increasingly intolerant of such voices,” as stated in our mission statement.

From the inception of our launch, we received aggressive pushback on social media from the leftist student body. The hate is persistent and increasing. Our commitment to “defend[ing] both limited government and the Jeffersonian notions of life, liberty, and property,” has been smeared by leftist buzzwords.

Fellow writers at the “Thinker” and I are used to labels such as racist, white supremacist, bigot, xenophobe, and transphobe, which leftists routinely use to silence anyone who challenges their worldview. Now, taking cues from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Big Tech, and the corporate media, Hui has added “insurrectionists” to the ever-growing list.

Free Speech ‘Reimagined’

Hui’s article makes things clear: Amateur journalists at a small-time, student-run newspaper are not exempt from the same attacks being lodged at big-time conservative leaders. No one is safe. No matter who you are, as long as you dare to think differently, you will be punished.

“My peers at the Thinker may think me hypocritical … for wanting to reimagine free speech on campus,” writes Hui, who really means to abolish the principles, not reimagine them. “[M]y words,” she continues in reference to her own opinions and writing, “do not do any harm. They do not inspire hate or fear. In short, they have no capacity for violence.”

What she means is that left-wing opinions, like her own, are unproblematic, but that the sole conservative voice on campus, the “Chicago Thinker,” is harmful, inspires hate and fear, and has the capacity for violence.

Once upon a time, violence used to mean physical force. In the woke world, which the left is successfully blurring with the real world, violence is verbal or written. “[W]e are seeing,” writes Hui, “how the latent violence wrought in language can speak (or tweet) violence and death into the world.”

“[W]e must recognize,” Hui continues, “how an emphasis on free speech, which is so often used as a right-wing talking point, opens up room for bigoted language and bigoted actions, and how university administrations—including our own—enable this. In a post-insurrection society, we must reexamine the Chicago principles and find a way to balance freedom of academic inquiry with protecting our marginalized students and creating an inclusive community for all.”

The “Chicago Principles” represent the university’s claimed commitment to protecting free speech and encouraging open debate. They are a defining characteristic of the University of Chicago, what I wrote my college essay on, and why I chose to attend the school. So how does Hui plan to squash U-Chicago’s famous ethos? By “disinviting pseudo-Nazis and fascists from campus,” which is really code for anyone the left disagrees with.

Hui uses Steve Bannon as an example of who should be excluded from the campus dialogue. We know that Hui and others don’t just mean some conservatives, like Bannon, should be banned. They mean all conservatives. Ben Shapiro, one of the most measured and reasonable voices in the conservative movement, for years has been barred from universities and subject to woke name-calling, which ironically includes “antisemite” (Shapiro is an orthodox Jew).

Elitists Exposed

Hui also calls on her peers to delegitimize “xenophobic thinking when it is masked as ‘debate and deliberation’” in the classroom by calling it out, disengaging from discussions, and “actively voicing to the speaker and the professor the harm that they do.” This means students should bully their conservative peers into silence with the aforementioned buzzwords and encourage their teachers to do so as well. This, of course, has the desired effect of forcing conservative students to self-censor in one of the only places solely dedicated to open debate and discussion.

“[W]ith its ‘Chicago principles,’” writes Hui, “our school has become a leader in framing hateful rhetoric as par for the course in the pursuit of free speech. These principles bolster and enable the next Ted Cruzes and Josh Hawleys and harm marginalized students, who are told that their rights—their very humanity—are up for debate.”

Hui wants to demolish the “Chicago Principles” because they permit the expression of ideas and opinions that she does not agree with and that her coddled mind can’t handle. She and the rest of woke academia are disguising their own fears by claiming that open debate and free expression, protected by the principles, “propagate white supremacy by justifying racism as intellectual discourse.”

“It is not that [Hawley’s and Cruz’s] education failed—their education did exactly what it was meant to do,” writes Hui. “It prepared two budding conservative minds to go forth into the corridors of power—to disguise bigotry as love of country, hate speech as meaningful debate.”

In essence, what Hui really desires is for the liberal reputations of top-ranked leftist schools, such as the University of Chicago, not to be in any way stained. To her, this is not possible if esteemed institutions produce conservative thought leaders. I do have to thank her. She put into explicit words what many on the left have tried to deny: American universities are vehicles of indoctrination, not education.

Her argument is also a perfect example of the grotesque elitism that is poisoning the discourse in our country. Hui, a college freshman, is entrenched in her own self-importance and blinded by the nauseating self-referential prestige the University of Chicago holds among America’s educated elites. Her older mentors in the system know how to mask their own arrogance and pretend to be sympathetic to the working-class commoners that live outside the ivory towers.

Hui is young and hasn’t learned the ropes yet.

In many ways, that’s what makes her article so very special. Young, vainglorious, and refreshingly honest, Hui has inadvertently exposed the terrifying intentions of her role models in the American Ivy League gentry class, who seek to squash conservatism (which they deem repulsive and unfashionable), the free speech ethos of the university system, and intellectual diversity in our country.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) referred to House members who carry guns for self-defense as the “enemy within” on Thursday.

Breitbart’s Joe Pollak reported Pelosi’s statement, wherein she was given a chance to put forward her stance on House Members who want to be armed for self-defense.

Pollak tweeted:
.@SpeakerPelosi referred to certain members of Congress as the "enemy within." When asked what she meant she said there are members who want to carry guns (like @RepBoebert who carries legally). So if you exercise your 2nd Amendment rights after a deadly riot, you are an "enemy."

Lauren Boebert (R-CO) is the co-chair of the House of Representative’s Second Amendment Caucus and has been outspoken about her commitment to carry a gun in D.C.

In a December 23, 2020, exclusive interview with Breitbart News, Boebert said, “I am my security.”

She added, “Washington, DC, like most Democrat-run cities, has a violent crime problem, so I certainly need a way to protect myself and I will be carrying each and every day.”

Following the January 6, 2021, Capitol riots Breitbart News reported that Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), the other co-chair of the Second Amendment Caucus, talked about how comforting it was to be armed when the rioters struck.

Massie said, “The next member who argues Congressmen shouldn’t be allowed to carry firearms at work needs to be laughed out of the Capitol.”

Capitol Police Chief: U.S. Capitol Needs ‘Permanent’ Wall to Protect Congress

The United States Capitol needs a “permanent” security wall around it to protect members of Congress, Acting U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) Chief Yogananda Pittman says.

In a statement on Thursday, Pittman said the security at the Capitol building must include a “permanent fencing” barrier — a similar barrier to the one halted by President Joe Biden’s administration at the U.S.-Mexico border.

“As I noted earlier this week, even before September 11, 2001, security experts argued that more needed to be done to protect the U.S. Capitol,” Pittman said in a statement. “In fact, a 2006 security assessment specifically recommended the installation of a permanent perimeter fence around the Capitol.”

“In light of recent events, I can unequivocally say that vast improvements to the physical security infrastructure must be made to include permanent fencing, and the availability of ready, back-up forces in close proximity to the Capitol,” Pittman continued.

Fencing with barbed wire at the top has been surrounding the Capitol for weeks now, as Breitbart News noted, to protect Biden during his January 20 inaugural ceremonies. Other barriers have gone up around Washington, DC, to keep the public out of particular areas.

Last week, Biden halted the construction of security barriers at the U.S.-Mexico border. In an executive order, Biden called the construction project “a waste of money” and “not a serious policy solution.”

Hillary Clinton Says Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Should Be Put on a Terror Watch List, Removed From Congress

Crooked Hillary hates conservative patriots.

Failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is advocating for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) to be put on a federal terror watch list and removed from Congress for exercising her 1st Amendment rights to oppose government corruption.

Clinton made the comment in a Twitter post:
This woman should be on a watch list. Not in Congress. https://t.co/ULwJ2lBpld
— Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) January 27, 2021
Greene responded with a throwback to the “Lock Her Up!” days of Donald Trump’s initial presidential campaign:
Actually, @HillaryClinton, you should be in jail. #LockHerUp https://t.co/K8mJFYuyUt pic.twitter.com/bGZt2spt2l
— Marjorie Taylor Greene (@mtgreenee) January 27, 2021
There is currently a fake news campaign to destroy Greene’s career over social media posts she allegedly made long before she was elected to Congress.

“Stage is being set. Players are being put in place. We must be patient. This must be done perfectly or liberal judges would let them off,” Greene wrote in one of the supposedly controversial Facebook posts, referring to Obama and Clinton being put to justice for crimes against humanity.

Other problematic comments Greene allegedly made include an assertion that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was “guilty of treason.” She also called David Hogg a “coward” for hiding behind private security while demanding for law-abiding Americans to be robbed of their gun rights.

While the media hopes to destroy Greene’s career over this non-controversy, her constituents in North Georgia are likely thrilled that they elected an authentic conservative fighter to Congress.

Big League Politics has reported on Greene’s immense backbone and refusal to capitulate to the radical Left since she announced her run for Congress:
Staunch pro-gun advocate Marjorie Taylor Greene is running for Georgia’s 6th Congressional District and is putting incumbent Congresswoman Lucy McBath on notice.
On Sunday, Greene released a video denouncing both the Democratic party’s stances during the 2020 presidential debates and McBath’s leftist policies.
She noted, “Last week, millions of Americans watched on national TV as every Democrat Presidential candidate said they would use taxpayer dollars to pay for health plans for illegal aliens.”
Greene has built a reputation in Georgia for her pro-gun activism, which BLP covered when she went to Washington D.C. to confront Senators on gun control legislation like red flag laws.
The Georgia activists highlighted that “President Trump needs a fighter like me in Washington, DC, to fight back against this socialist agenda that will kill jobs, crush our economy, and prioritize illegal aliens over American citizens.”
McBath is a notorious gun control activist and has proven to be a reliable ally for leftist in Congress, which Greene pointed out to Big League Politics, “my Democrat opponent, Lucy McBath, votes in lock step with radical hate America socialists like Ilhan Omar. And she does whatever Nancy Pelosi asks her to do.
Greene stressed the need for a “Congressman in Washington who will fight for our district first, not for illegal aliens.”
Greene will not back down to Clinton or any of the bullies on the Left. This is why she is a rising star in the new America First GOP.

“The Enemy is Within the House of Representatives” – Pelosi Says Members of Congress Have Threatened Violence on Other Members of Congress (VIDEO)

WATCH:

Without naming any names, Pelosi accused Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) of being a threat to other members of Congress for wanting to carry her firearm around DC and the Hill.

Pelosi also said Trump’s January 6 speech where he specifically called for peace and law and order is what’s fanning the flames.

“We have members of Congress that want to bring guns on the floor and have threatened violence on other members of Congress,” Pelosi.

DEMOCRATS EXPLOITING LIMITED CAPITOL DISTURBANCE TO CRACK DOWN ON ALL OPPOSITION
Guns In The News / January 28, 2021 / 373

U.S.A. – -(Ammoland.com)- “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste,” then-Congressman and soon to be Obama’s Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel told assembled head honchos at a Wall Street Journal corporate CEO conference in 2008. Politicians have learned that lesson well, and the brains behind the Biden administration are proving no different in exploiting the so-called Capitol “riots.”

I used quotation marks there because the term appears situational and relative. Case in point, Maxine Waters used the terms “rebellion” and “resistance” to qualify an “uprising” that resulted in “more than 50 killed, 2,000 injured, 9,500 arrests and $1 billion in property damages.” Those numbers could have been significantly reduced had political leaders used their influence to appeal for real justice and peace instead of pouring fuel on the flames for political gain:
“Waters’ mantra was ‘No Justice, No Peace.’ Over and over to any camera or microphone in sight, ‘No Justice, No Peace.’ Her message to the streets was unmistakable: ‘If it’s not a guilty verdict, go to war. ‘No Justice, No Peace.’”
Naturally, she voted to impeach Donald Trump for supposedly conveying his expectation and blessing to the Capitol intrusion. That’s the crux of the case, that’s what the DSM (Duranty/Streicher Media) is trumpeting, and now, that’s what those trying to save their skins are latching on to.
“What’s really curious is the reality that our president, as a matter of public record, invited these individuals, as President, to walk down to the Capitol with him,” the attorney for “QAnon Shaman” Anthony Chansley maintained.
What’s even more curious is the reality that the president, as a matter of public record, did not invite protestors to do anything more than that, all perfectly legal and supposedly protected by the First Amendment.

IT’S VALID TO PUT THINGS IN PERSPECTIVE.

“More than 116 people from around the country are now facing federal charges,” we are told. That’s out of an estimated 30,000 lawful and peaceable demonstrators. In other words, those gathered in support of President Trump were (what did CNN call arsonists setting a building ablaze?) “mostly peaceful protestors.”

In other words, between 3/10 and 4/10 of one percent of the protestors let provocateurs goad them into believing that what Antifa and BLM routinely get away with is the new normal. And that has resulted in all “Republicans,” “conservatives” and gun owners being smeared as “violent right-wing extremists” and “the greatest threat” “our Democracy” faces, and, of course, the kiss of death designator, as racists.

Consider this Vanity Fair “report,” filed as “news,” not as an editorial:
“On the evening of January 5—the night before a white supremacist mob stormed Capitol Hill… “
Stop right there. The presumption is there is no need to prove or quantify such an outrageous libel. Just say those targeted for the purge are racists and it becomes so. It’s the way of the Big Lie.

Are there any questions on what the goals of those spreading it are? If so, reliable media narrative parrot MSN will be glad to clarify things for us:
“Capitol attack will spur broad crackdown on domestic extremists.”
Right on cue, “Joe Biden orders review of [the] US domestic extremism threat.” Democrat Adam Schiff explains the focus:
“In particular, far-right, white supremacist extremism, nurtured on online platforms, has become one of the most dangerous threats to our nation.”
You’ll note the National Guard troops aren’t mobilizing to liberate Portland or Seattle.

Extremists Emboldened by Capitol Attack Pose Rising Threat, Homeland Security Says

The warning was a notable departure for a Department of Homeland Security accused of being reluctant during the Trump administration to publish intelligence reports or public warnings about the dangers posed by extremists and white supremacist groups.

By Zolan Kanno-Youngs and David E. Sanger
  • Jan. 27, 2021
WASHINGTON — Warning that the deadly rampage of the Capitol this month may not be an isolated episode, the Department of Homeland Security on Wednesday said publicly for the first time that the United States faced a growing threat from “violent domestic extremists” emboldened by the attack.

The department’s terrorism alert did not name specific groups that might be behind any future attacks, but it made clear that their motivation would include anger over “the presidential transition, as well as other perceived grievances fueled by false narratives,” a clear reference to the accusations made by President Donald J. Trump and echoed by right-wing groups that the 2020 election was stolen.

“D.H.S. is concerned these same drivers to violence will remain through early 2021,” the department said.

The Department of Homeland Security does not have information indicating a “specific, credible plot,” according to a statement from the agency. The alert issued was categorized as one warning of developing trends in terrorism, rather than a notice of an imminent attack.

But an intelligence official involved in drafting Wednesday’s bulletin said the decision to issue the report was driven by the department’s conclusion that Mr. Biden’s peaceful inauguration last week could create a false sense of security because “the intent to engage in violence has not gone away” among extremists angered by the outcome of the presidential election.

The warning contained in a “National Terrorism Advisory System Bulletin” was a notable departure for a Department of Homeland Security accused of being reluctant during the Trump administration to publish intelligence reports or public warnings about the dangers posed by domestic extremists and white supremacist groups for fear of angering Mr. Trump, according to current and former homeland security officials.

Starting with the deadly extremist protest in Charlottesville, Va., in 2017, when Mr. Trump said there were “very fine people on both sides,” he played down any danger posed by extremist groups. And when racial justice protests erupted nationwide last year, his consistent message was that it was the so-called radical left that was to blame for the violence and destruction that had punctuated the demonstrations.

Even after the Department of Homeland Security in September 2019 singled out white supremacists as a leading domestic terrorism threat, analysts and intelligence officials said their warnings were watered down, delayed or both.

Former officials in the Trump administration have even said that White House officials sought to suppress the phrase “domestic terrorism.”

As recently as last September, a former top intelligence official with the department, Brian Murphy, filed a whistle-blower complaint accusing department leaders, including the acting secretary, Chad F. Wolf, and his deputy, Kenneth T. Cuccinelli II, of ordering him to modify intelligence assessments to make the threat of white supremacy “appear less severe” and include information on left-wing groups to align with Mr. Trump’s messaging.

Mr. Wolf and Mr. Cuccinelli denied the accusations, and after a congressional backlash, released an annual threat assessment in October that acknowledged that violent white supremacy was the “most persistent and lethal threat in the homeland.”

The intelligence official involved with the bulletin, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss its findings, added that the public warning should have been issued as early as November, when Mr. Trump was making an escalating series of false accusations about the election, and that far-right groups continued to be galvanized by such false statements.

But at the time, Mr. Trump was also seeking to dismiss department officials whom he regarded as disloyal, including Christopher Krebs, the chief of its cybersecurity agency, after a committee overseeing the election declared it had been “the most secure in American history.” The agency failed to issue a warning to state and local agencies warning of specific violence aimed at the Capitol before the attack on Jan. 6.

The report listed a broad range of grievances across the political spectrum, including “anger over Covid-19 restrictions, the 2020 election results, and police use of force.” And left-wing groups have not been silent: After the inauguration of Mr. Biden, some demonstrators in Portland, Ore., shattered windows and targeted a federal building with graffiti.

But the bulletin’s specific references to the Jan. 6 attack and a mass shooting in El Paso that targeted Hispanics made clear that the most lethal current threat is from the racist extremist groups.

Until now, the closest federal law enforcement had come to that conclusion since the attack at the Capitol was in a joint bulletin issued this month by law enforcement agencies, warning that extremists aiming to start a race war “may exploit the aftermath of the Capitol breach by conducting attacks to destabilize and force a climactic conflict in the United States,” according to a copy of the bulletin obtained by The New York Times.

But that warning came in a private channel to law enforcement agencies.

Terrorism warnings issued to the public like the bulletin on Wednesday are rare: The most recent came a year ago during a period of tension with Iran after the American military’s killing of Maj. Gen. Qassim Suleimani.

The bulletins issued by the Department of Homeland Security, which was created after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, have typically identified foreign terrorist threats.

Federal authorities have for years lagged on warnings about the threat of terrorism from within United States borders, perpetrated by American citizens.

“There’s value in soliciting the public’s assistance in identifying and alerting authorities about suspicious activity,” said Brian Harrell, a former assistant secretary for homeland security in the Trump administration. “The watchful public will always be the best ‘eyes and ears’ for law enforcement.”

Asked during a briefing about the motivation for the new terrorism bulletin, Michael Chertoff, a former secretary of homeland security under President George W. Bush, said, “In my view, it is domestic terrorism mounted by right-wing extremists and neo-Nazi groups.” He added, “We have to be candid and face what the real risk is.”

Such candor has long been an exception.

When a warning in a 2009 Department of Homeland Security report, early in the Obama administration, that military veterans returning from combat could be vulnerable to recruitment by terrorist groups or extremists prompted a backlash from conservatives, the homeland security secretary at the time, Janet Napolitano, was forced to apologize.

The report was retracted and an edited version was eventually reissued.

“It was an early lesson in how fraught dealing with these issues can be, but it turns out the report itself and the substance of the report was quite prescient,” Ms. Napolitano said in an interview. “What we saw two weeks ago is what I think we were seeing in 2009, but it has only grown and it seems to have exploded in the last four years.”

This week, Mr. Biden ordered a comprehensive assessment of the threat of domestic violent extremism. During his confirmation hearing, the president’s pick for homeland security secretary, Alejandro N. Mayorkas, said he would empower the department’s intelligence branch, which has long struggled to distinguish its assessments from the F.B.I.

The department’s Office of Intelligence and Analysis is responsible for gathering information on emerging threats and sharing it with state authorities to bolster coordination among federal and local law enforcement.

“The truth is what has to come out of D.H.S,” Mr. Chertoff said. “Not playing patty cake with political agendas.”

Will you be considered a threat thanks to new Homeland Security alert?

•Jan 28, 2021

Glenn Beck

The Department of Homeland Security — for the first time in our nation’s HISTORY, according to the Wall Street Journal — issued a national advisory that focuses on domestic threats rather than foreign ones. Government officials says they are monitoring "ideologically motivated" anger they believe could manifest into riots around the nation. But who exactly do they consider to be dangerous? The bulletin classifies an ‘extremist’ as Americans who are in-part motivated by "anger over COVID 19 restrictions, the 2020 election results, and police use of force."

Biden Team Rushes to Take Over Government, and Oust Trump Loyalists

President Biden named nearly all of his cabinet secretaries and their immediate deputies before he took office, but his real grasp on the levers of power has come several layers down.

WASHINGTON — When President Biden swore in a batch of recruits for his new administration in a teleconferenced ceremony late last week, it looked like the country’s biggest Zoom call. In fact, Mr. Biden was installing roughly 1,000 high-level officials in about a quarter of all of the available political appointee jobs in the federal government.

At the same time, a far less visible transition was taking place: the quiet dismissal of holdovers from the Trump administration, who have been asked to clean out their offices immediately, whatever the eventual legal consequences.

If there has been a single defining feature of the first week of the Biden administration, it has been the blistering pace at which the new president has put his mark on what President Donald J. Trump dismissed as the hostile “Deep State” and tried so hard to dismantle.

From the Pentagon, where 20 senior officials were ready to move in days before the Senate confirmed Lloyd J. Austin III as defense secretary, to the Voice of America, where the Trump-appointed leadership was replaced hours after the inauguration, the Biden team arrived in Washington not only with plans for each department and agency, but the spreadsheets detailing who would carry them out.

A replacement was even in the works for the president’s doctor: Dr. Sean P. Conley, who admitted to providing a rosy, no-big-deal description of Mr. Trump’s Covid-19 symptoms last year, was told to pack his medical kit. While all presidents eventually bring in their own doctor, Mr. Biden wasted no time bringing back a retired Army colonel, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, who was his doctor when he was vice president.

Mr. Biden had named nearly all of his cabinet secretaries and their immediate deputies before he took office last Wednesday, most of them familiar faces from the Obama administration. But the president’s real grasp on the levers of power has come several layers down.

Image

The National Security Council, for example, where American foreign policy comes together, already has staff members in place for jobs that sometimes take months to fill. There is an Asia czar (Kurt M. Campbell, who served in President Barack Obama’s State Department), a China director and directors for other regions. There is a full homeland security staff and a new, expanded White House operation to oversee cyberoffense and defense.

The contrast with the Trump administration at a similar point in time is striking. Mr. Trump had no experience in government — which he made a selling point in his 2016 campaign — and mistrusted those who did. He made it clear that he planned to shrink or starve some agencies, often before determining how to align their missions with the right number of personnel.

Many of Mr. Trump’s appointees — except at the Defense Department and at the Department of Veterans Affairs — arrived with instructions to cut, and it became a point of pride among Trump administration officials to leave jobs open. In the end, Mr. Trump did not shrink the federal work force by much — except in places like the Education Department — but his determination to do so meant that many posts went unfilled for the first two years.

No place was that mission clearer than at the State Department, which Mr. Trump delighted in calling the “Deep State Department.” The first secretary to arrive, Rex W. Tillerson, recalled last year that he spent months examining what he called the “lines of authority” inside the building, and creating strategies to cut the department’s staff by 30 percent — time that might have been spent thinking about ways to develop policy toward China or Russia, or anywhere else. Congress blocked most of the cuts.

Today, the State Department is being run by Foreign Service officers and career officials — the core of the Deep State in the view of Mr. Trump’s allies — who greeted the new secretary of state, Antony J. Blinken, when he arrived for his first full day of work on Wednesday after being confirmed by the Senate. Mr. Blinken grew up inside the department — he joined in 1993 — and served at the end of the Obama administration as its deputy secretary.

So far, there have been few appointments at State: Foreign and Civil Service officers have filled in. But Mr. Blinken plans to make some of those appointments permanent, going back to a previous era when career officials, or retired foreign service officers, take posts that in more recent times have been filled with political appointees.

At the National Security Council, the White House said in a statement, Mr. Biden has “nearly doubled the number of staff ready to start and onboarded than either Trump did in 2017 or Obama in 2009.” The White House offered no specific numbers, but said they reflected “the urgent need to build — in some cases rebuild — capabilities like climate, cyber, global health security and biodefense, and democracy from the ground up.”

The new staff members will have their work cut out for them.

“In making appointments as a new president, Biden has a much tougher job than Trump,” said Michael Beschloss, the presidential historian, who has written about many transitions. “It’s harder to rebuild a government than it is to ransack, demoralize and hollow a government out.”

But there has also been a lot of rooting out.

The tone was set before Mr. Biden was sworn in. On the Saturday evening before the inauguration, Michael Ellis, a Trump loyalist, was installed as general counsel of the National Security Agency on the orders of Mr. Trump’s acting defense secretary. It was a classic case of “burrowing” a political appointee into the bureaucracy in a new, nonpolitical job classification that would make it hard to fire him.

DC Officials Announce Plans to Erect Permanent Security Fence Around US Capitol – In Same Week Democrats Ended Construction of Border Security Fence

But Washington DC officials announced this week they will erect a permanent security fence around the US Capitol because walls work in DC!

This is People’s Pelosi’s House.

Has Biden Lost His Mind? Said Executive Orders are Dictatorial but Signed More in 3 Days than Previous 4 Presidents Combined

By Ulysses S. Tennyson | Jan 28, 2021

While on the campaign trail, Joe Biden insisted that he would not rule through executive orders. In fact, he decried executive orders a dictatorial method of leadership because they bypass the voting of the legislation process:

Rumble video on website .28 min

“I’ve gotta get the votes!…we are a democracy.” He then speaks contradictory gibberish about voting for executive orders for a moment, but ends by solidifying absolutely that executive orders are not an appropriate way to run a government:

“Things you can’t do by executive order unless you’re a dictator. We’re a democracy. We need consensus”

Now that he has been illegitimately installed as the dictator of America after (allegedly) getting far fewer votes than president Trump, though, he seems to have swiftly warmed up to the idea of ruling without the will of the people:
bidenexecutiveordersvstrumpobamabushclinton.jpg
The number of executive orders signed by the past 4 presidents and Joe Biden within 3 days of inauguration.

Within just 3 days of his inauguration, Biden signed more executive orders than Trump Obama Bush and Clinton combined for the same time period during their tenures as president.

Since then, Biden has signed 18 more EOs, for a total of 37 and shows no sign of stopping.

— Charlie Spiering (@charliespiering) January 26, 2021

Liars must continue their lies so they do not get caught. And, the lies must always get more grandiose in order to explain their inconsistencies. Biden did not get the votes to become elected president, and so he must now also backtrack on every other Constitutional promise he has made because he never had the will of the people to begin with. This is his only pathway to remain in power illegitimately.

Eventually, though, every lie collapses from the complexity and enormity of its weight. And this one is collapsing very quickly.

Remember When Joe Biden Said "You Can't Legislate By Executive Orders Unless You're A Dictator"

WEDNESDAY, JAN 27, 2021 - 18:00
Authored by Steve Watson via Summit News,
This video from the 15th October 2020 speaks for itself.

During a town hall broadcast by ABC News just over a fortnight before the election, Joe Biden was discussing his tax proposals when he declared that in order to see them implemented he would need votes and approval from Congress.

“I have this strange notion. We are a democracy,” Biden sardonically declared, pointing out that “Some of my Republican friends, and some of my Democratic friends occasionally say ‘well if you can’t get the votes, by executive order you’re going to do something'”.

“You can’t do it by executive order, unless you’re a dictator,” Biden declared, adding “We’re a democracy, we need consensus.”

Fast forward to the first day of Biden’s presidency.

The guy implemented NINETEEN executive actions.

Before the first week of his presidency was over, Biden had signed THIRTY-SEVEN executive actions.

Despite the apparent fact that Biden doesn’t even know what he’s signing, he has already put pen to paper on more than three times as many orders as the previous four Presidents COMBINED.

In their first weeks Trump signed four, Obama signed five, George W. Bush signed none, and Bill Clinton signed one.

Indeed, no other President has ever signed as many orders as Biden, according to The American Presidency Project at the University of California Santa Barbara.

So, Joe… In your own words, what does that make you?
A dictator signs 37 Executive Orders in 6 days.

Not a President.

The deconstruction of the Trump legacy and momentum to move toward conservative goals in federal government is breathtaking. It is alarming how Joe is truly acting as a dictator in the EOs taking us back to the Deep State Obama years and erasing as much of President Trump's Administration as he can. The institutionalizing of critical race theory, the labeling of America as immoral, government institutions as inherently racist, the labeling of all white people as racist and the institution of policies to attain social and economic equity for minorities by suppressing "white privilege" is disturbing.

However, this pales in the lightning speed that the left has attempted to tar and feather conservatives with labels born of vicious hate. The purging of conservative voices from social media, the stomping out of conservative platforms, the doxing of conservatives and the canceling of businesses owned by conservatives is alarming. It is happening so fast.

It is frightening how conservative protesters are being painted as seditionists engaged in an insurrection. The reaction of Congress with a huge military response and lock down of the Green Zone like East Germany is like a dystopian
nightmare. The funneling of social media comments to intelligence and the call to turn in your family members and neighbors is like a nightmare recalling of the third Reich. Now, the intelligence warnings of dangerous insurrectionist groups within the context of everything that has happened, makes one wonder if there will be dragnets of conservatives for questioning and intimidation.

It is obvious that the left is no respecter of our Constitutional Republic and the Bill of Rights, particularly as pertains to conservatives. It is alarming that the judiciary is sitting on their thumbs and the Congress is gagged by their masks as the bonfire of our individual rights and the integrity of our elections is being stoked by the left.

Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Amendment IV
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Twitter Suspends Founder of Internet Accountability Project for “Hate Speech”

By Jim Hoft
Published January 29, 2021 at 8:03am
When you’re on a roll, you’re on a roll.

Twitter suspended the founder of the Internet Accountability Project on Thursday from their platform.
mike-davis-suspended.jpg

The Internet Accountability Project (IAP) is a leading voice in the conservative grassroots movement to hold Big Tech accountable and defend free and open political debate online. So it only makes sense that Twitter would suspend the founder from its platform.

CENSORED: @The_IAP released the following statement from Founder and President @mrddmia after Twitter suspended his account earlier today: CENSORED : Twitter Backs Down After Targeting IAP Founder Mike Davis #BigTechCensorship #TwitterBan #BigTech pic.twitter.com/2inZimQvEN
— Internet Accountability Project (IAP) (@The_IAP) January 29, 2021
Mike Davis was later told it was because of his “hate speech.”
Twitter later released the suspension saying it was a mistake.
The IAP reported:
Following an outcry from conservatives on Twitter and inquiries by the media and Congress for the targeting of Davis, the social media giant backed down and reinstated his account.
Davis’ tweet prior to his suspension called out all political violence, including violence from BLM and Antifa. Twitter initially provided no warning or explanation for its decision, but following inquiries from media, conservative leaders and Congress, later attempted to evade further scrutiny by calling the ban a “mistake,” an excuse given before to other conservatives targeted for their beliefs.

Davis released the following statement:

“Make no mistake: Twitter targeted me for my work to hold Big Tech accountable and defend conservatives from being censored. Twitter only backtracked when members of the media, grassroots activists and conservatives in Congress pushed back. Twitter’s excuse that my suspension was only a mistake is laughable. This ‘mistake’ only ever happens to one side.

“Twitter initially banned me without warning or explanation, but told an inquirer that I was suspended for ‘violence and hatred.’ Apparently, Twitter considers it violent to call out BLM and Antifa riots.

“Every day, the left spews hatred with impunity, but when conservatives speak out against their tactics, we are silenced and our peaceful speech is labeled violence. Twitter’s true motivation is clear. They are on a campaign to muzzle anyone who fights back against the Democrat-Big Tech duopoly in this country. This is outrageous and we will fight back.

“Unfortunately, millions of conservatives across the country don’t have a platform of their own to fight back when they are targeted. There is no due process or consistency in application of Twitter’s terms of service. That’s why the work we do at the Internet Accountability Project is so important — and we fight for everyday Americans. Anyone who values free expression and open debate can join the fight today at www.theiap.org.”
The Internet Accountability Project is a nonprofit conservative advocacy group that holds Big Tech accountable for their profiting from human-sex trafficking, revenge-porn, the opioid epidemic and drug addiction, terrorism, and other forms of human misery, along with engaging in egregious business practices like snooping, spying, political bias against conservatives, employee abuses, and anticompetitive conduct.

Vile MSNBC Hack: Republicans “Willing to Kill” Those Who Disagree with Them – Republican Leadership Supports Them (VIDEO)

This passes as intelligent discourse on MSNBC.

Guest Princeton professor Eddie Glaude accused Republicans of “willing to kill” anyone who does not agree with their idea of America.

Glaude then says GOP leadership supports this.

This is pure hate speech.

Will Twitter or Facebook ban this clown?

Eddie Glaude:
What we have is a Republican Party that is in fact the new Redeemers. That’s who they are. They are defending an idea of America that presumes that people like me, people that hold views that are different than them, do not belong here. And they are willing to kill in the name of it. At least some among them and then you have people in leadership who are willing to defend them.

Marxist Democrat Cori Bush Screams at Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Then Lies About It — Not Knowing Taylor Greene Caught it All on Video!

By Jim Hoft
Published January 29, 2021 at 2:41pm
marjorie-taylor-greene-cori-bush-.jpg

Marxist Democrat Cori Bush is making a splash her first big month as a Democrat lawmaker.

During the sham impeachment of President Trump Cori Bush openly smeared President Trump as a racist and the “white-supremacist-in-chief.”

Bush later drafted a resolution to punish anyone who challenged the fraudulent 2020 election.

On Friday Rep. Cori Bush accused Rep. Marjorie Taylor Bush of berating her in the hallway of the US Capitol.

A maskless Marjorie Taylor Greene & her staff berated me in a hallway. She targeted me & others on social media.
I’m moving my office away from hers for my team’s safety.
I’ve called for the expulsion of members who incited the insurrection from Day 1. Bring H.Res 25 to a vote.
— Cori Bush (@CoriBush) January 29, 2021
Unfortunately, for the freshman Marxist — it was all a lie.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene even posted video to prove it!

You can plainly see and hear Cori Bush screaming across the hall at Marjorie Taylor Greene.

And then you can clearly hear Greene scream back at her to quit allowing COVID patients in the US House to vote for Nancy Pelosi.

Greene was referring to Pelosi forcing COVID patient Rep. Gwen Moore into the House to vote for her for speaker earlier in the month.
Rep. @CoriBush is the leader of the St. Louis Black Lives Matter terrorist mob who trespassed into a gated neighborhood to threaten the lives of the McCloskey’s.
She is lying to you. She berated me.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Publishes Statement Addressing the Mob That’s Trying to ‘Take Her Out’

By Cassandra Fairbanks

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene posted a statement on Friday addressing the mob of Democrats and liberal reporter henchmen that are trying to “take her out” with a massive smear campaign.

The statement comes shortly after Marxist Democrat lawmaker Cori Bush tried to claim that Greene had harassed her in the halls — which Greene promptly shut down with a video of the incident.
Rep. @CoriBush is the leader of the St. Louis Black Lives Matter terrorist mob who trespassed into a gated neighborhood to threaten the lives of the McCloskey’s.

— Marjorie Taylor Greene (@mtgreenee) January 29, 2021
In a statement published on social media and sent out to members of the media by her press team, Greene wrote that “since launching your smear campaign attacks on me, nearly 60,000 America First Patriots from all 50 states have reached out with messages of support and have poured over $1.6 million in small donations into my campaign account.”
“Every attack. Every lie. Every smear strengthens my base of support at home and across the country because people know the truth and are fed up with the lies. While big PACs and powerful corporations refuse to donate to Republicans and cave to the vicious cancel culture mob, the people have my back. The same 75 million people who voted for President Trump. Voters who will be vital to Republicans taking back the House in 2022,” the statement continued.
“Contributions of $.50 or a $100 are significant statements of support, but the heartfelt prayers and encouraging messages telling me to keep standing strong against the mob are what’s most significant to me. For me, it’s people over politicians. It’s people over big money PACs. It’s people over powerful elite corporations and the Silicon Valley Cartel who are trying to cancel all of us. I will never back down. I will never give up. Because I am one of you. And I will always represent you,” Greene continued. “I take all of these slings and arrows gladly for you. I take them for our America First movement so that we can save our country and stop socialism. I knew this day would come, it was only a question of when.”

Greene warned that if Republicans cower to the mob, and let the Democrats and the Fake News media take her out, they’re opening the door to come after every single Republican until there’s none left. “But what’s worse is Republicans would be opening the door to let the vicious cancel culture mob take out every one of you,” she stated.

“President Trump taught us how to defend America First values. That’s why Democrats have the smallest majority in the House since WWII. I will lead the charge to be a voice for the Silent Majority. I’ll always have your back, because I know you have mine. Don’t give up. Don’t lose hope. More MAGA reinforcements are on the way. Let’s win BIG for Republicans in 2022! Save America. Stop Socialism. Defeat the Democrats! Let’s make America great again!”

Rumble War Room = Steve Bannon

Jack Posobiec and Steve Bannon talk over the effect of the populist revolt in the stock market and how it can bring new coalitions such as MAGA and Gen Z together against corrupt elites

[COMMENT: Steve Bannon has been having some interesting discussions about what is aligning as a working/middle class populist movement against the economic interests of the elite. This discussion has been about the Robinhood/Game Stop trading event and the entrenched Wall Street elite's reaction to shut down the little investor from trading. It is aligning "MAGA" people, young Republicans with Millennial and GenZ investors.

It also highlights the way the Biden Admin. is representing elite economic interests down to rescinding Trump's move to eviscerate huge Pharma profits on things like insulin and epi-pens. Biden's EOs are restoring the institutional vehicles for elite profiteering one by one in rapid succession.

You also see Republicans aligning into the populist base and the country club establishment. Looks like a realignment is in progress in politics and other areas.

(Interesting sidebar is that Jovan Hutton Pulitzer, the scan the ballots guy, is working with a group on an easy portal to trading for the little guy.)]

Dave Portnoy Calls for Robinhood CEO and Others Be Jailed After Banning Trading for Little Guys in Order to Help Hedge Funds (VIDEO)

Stockholders and buyers are livid after the actions of Robinhood’s CEO and other trading firms prevented stock buyers from purchasing select stocks which ended up helping the hedge funds who had shorted these stocks.

Dave Portnoy from Barstool Sports was on with Varney and Company and he shared the following about the actions of investment firms preventing individuals from purchasing certain stocks:
Well they intentionally cratered a bunch of stocks, a lot of the ones you just mentioned … by not letting people buy it, only sell it. There was only one outcome, crater the stock. They basically stole money from their own clients. They knew that was going to happen to help the hedge funds basically cover.
After #Robinhood banned #trading of specific #stocks on its platform, @stoolpresidente demanded its CEO and others be put in prison. Here’s his argument. #GameStop #AMC #VarneyCo pic.twitter.com/Z8aSvTOnYu

"This Is A Financial Revolution..."

FRIDAY, JAN 29, 2021 - 13:50
Authored by Simon Black via SovereignMan.com, (Gold )
At precisely 2:32pm Eastern time on May 6, 2010, the US stock market started to drop.

The decline was sudden, and vicious. Within minutes, more than $1 trillion of market capitalization had vanished, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average losing nearly 10% of its value.

This event became known as the ‘Flash Crash’. And early explanations pointed to the big investment banks and their high-tech trading algorithms, i.e. software that could buy and sell stocks without human involvement.

When the market started its decline that day, banks’ trading algorithms went haywire and started selling everything. This caused the market to decline even further, which triggered the algorithms to sell even more.

The humans were powerless to stop it. There were stories of panicked tech teams at investment banks frantically ripping cables out of the floor trying to shut down the machines.

But the selling went on for 36 minutes… during which time the banks and big funds racked up enormous losses.

For me, however, the Flash Crash was great. I was ‘short’ the stock market at the time, meaning I had bet that the market would decline.

And when the market dropped by more than 1,000 points, I happily cashed in.
But two days later I received an email from my broker explaining that they were CANCELING my trade.

The poor little investment banks had lost money because their fancy algorithms didn’t work. So the exchange was giving them a ‘do over’ at my expense.

Incredible. It hadn’t even been two years at that point since the banks had to be bailed out at taxpayer expense during the Global Financial Crisis of 2008.

Then, 20 months later, the Flash Crash happened. And the banks were simply able to wipe all their losses away.

The lesson is obvious: when we screw up, we pay the price for our mistakes. But when the banks screw up, the whole financial system comes to their rescue.

Plenty of people have made this realization over the years.

If you’ve been following the news, you are probably aware that there are a few stocks right now– most notably GameStop (GME), that have soared to incredible heights in a matter of days, thanks to a zealous group of individual investors on reddit and TikTok.

These aren’t titans of finance; they’re a bunch of little guys, many of whom are also frustrated by the rigged financial system.

A bit of background– GameStop is a company that sells video games. And, for years, almost all of their sales have been from their 5500+ stores around the world.

That business model worked really well… in 2005.

Today, most users download video games online directly from the publishers, or they stream games from Google, Amazon, Apple, or Steam. Going into a store and buying a DVD is a thing of the past, and GameStop’s sales have suffered as a result of this trend.

A handful of hedge funds have been betting that GameStop will go out of business soon, or at least that the stock price will continue to decline.

So these funds shorted the stock in a huge (and dubious) way, selling more shares of the company than were actually in existence.

And a number of small investors saw these questionable short positions and said, ‘Enough is enough. We’re tired of hedge funds exploiting the market.’ So they’ve banded together and bid up the price of GameStop’s stock to absolutely epic levels.

GME’s stock price is up from $17 earlier this month, $347 at yesterday’s close, all from these small investors.

And as a result, the hedge funds who shorted GameStop have extreme losses.

Individual investors are angry; comments on the subreddit r/wallstreetbets really sum this up:
“Hedge Funds have literally taken lives through their greed. It’s time for some long overdue taste of their own medicine.”
and
“It’s a class war. It’s time we fought back.”
and
“[Hedge funds: ] This is personal for me, and millions of others. . . I’m making this as painful as I can for you.”
and
“There is and has been a ruling class whose sole purpose is to retain power. They gaslight us into thinking they know what is best for us. 1% knows better than 99%. This is not [about] stocks, this is a financial revolution. . .”
And they’re right.

Small investors have been fleeced for years. It’s infuriating. People are angry.

And as we saw over and over again throughout 2020, when people become angry enough, they band together, often in loosely organized mobs, and take action.

Oftentimes that action is destructive (or self-destructive), and even irrational.

We watched people burn buildings in the name of combating discrimination, others descend upon the US Capitol, others destroy people’s lives via Twitter, and yet others assaulting their fellow citizens who weren’t wearing masks.

That’s human nature: we do strange things when we’re angry. But it makes us feel better.

GameStop is similar.
The business loses tons of money, lost half of its equity last year, and has a net asset value of just $690 million. Yet at yesterday’s close the company was worth $20+ billion.

(So GameStop’s ‘Price/Book’ ratio was roughly 30, while the average Price/Book in the S&P500 is 4.16.)

GameStop is a completely irrational investment. And sure enough, the price has been hammered this morning after the brokerage app RobinHood suspended GME trading.

But as the reddit users say, it’s not about the money. It’s personal. It’s emotional. They’re knowingly engaging in destructive (and self-destructive) behavior. They’re OK losing money– because they’re angry.

This is a sign of the times.

We saw explosive mob anger last year over social issues, political issues, health issues. Now we’re seeing it in the financial system.

The obvious theme here is that people are seriously angry. And it’s not going away. It’s building.

Personally I think a better strategy is to borrow from the 1983 movie War Games: “The only winning move is not to play.”

View: https://youtu.be/uOoXwxqeVzg
.17 min

We have an incredible amount of options at our disposal. Just like I wrote recently about divorcing oneself from Big Tech, no one has to use gmail; you don’t have to play Google’s game.

There are plenty of other secure, cloud-based email services. Same goes for Google Drive, Google search, etc.

Similarly, we have plenty of options when it comes to our investments.

If you think the stock market is rigged, you don’t have to play. Consider alternative investments instead– gold, real estate, private companies, crypto, etc. It may be more productive to NOT play the game rather than take huge risks to fight the system.

Either way, expect the anger to continue building. (Just imagine the fury if inflation starts to rise…)

And this is reason enough to have a Plan B.

Bill Gross Compares GameStop Short Squeeze To "Populist Political Uprisings"

FRIDAY, JAN 29, 2021 - 13:06
Until the past week, the only asset class that was mentioned in the same sentence as the South Sea Bubble, was bitcoin for obvious reasons. But now that the nation's collective attention has turned to a new meme, namely the ongoing short squeeze of most shorted stocks by a bunch of millennials and GenZers, we have an excuse to expand the utility of comps with one of the best known periods of euphoria in human history. That's what Bill Gross - fresh from litigating his neighbor - has done in his latest Investment outlook, whose title "Game(Stop), Set, Match" was inspired by Gross' girlfriend former tennis-pro Amy Schwartz...

... and in which he writes that this week's GameStop trading frenzy "has few parallels and is indicative of prior mania tops as far back as the South Sea Bubble of 1720," and "this apparent budding crisis needs regulatory warnings and mainstream media alerts as to the dangers this week, both to overall markets and individual investors."

In other words, the r/wallstreetbets frenzy has provided just the convenient cover for bitcoin to quietly grind higher (especially with the backing of Elon Musk tweets), otesnibly to its next psychological level of $100,000 and nobody will notice, as attention will continue to be glued on which hedge fund blows up next as a result. Incidentally, one can only hope that at some point gold - which is shorted not by hedge funds but the BIS itself - will also catch a bid... but we wouldn't hold our breath.

However, in addition to mere market phenomena, Gross also compares the short squeeze to "populist political uprising characteristics of recent U.S. and other foreign elections" and says that "the will of the "common" investor has imposed significant hurt on short selling, "unpatriotic" hedge funds that have long profited at retail's expense, not only with their 2/20 fee structure but their financial clout to drive equities up or down and to issue capital calls if only to stay alive to rule another day."

Even so, he thinks that while perhaps justified, the recent action is too much and "during those Wednesday hours, investors buying 750% volatility options and who were rooted on by several prominent investors like Elon Musk who should know better, were the fish at the poker table, not part of an educated investment mob storming the Capitol of Capital."

Is he right? Continue reading Bill's latest note.

Game(Stop), Set, Match

The current GameStop short squeeze resembles the populist political uprising characteristics of recent U.S. and other foreign elections
. While the Capitol of Capital has not exactly been stormed as in recent weeks, the will of the "common" investor has imposed significant hurt on short selling, "unpatriotic" hedge funds that have long profited at retail's expense, not only with their 2/20 fee structure but their financial clout to drive equities up or down and to issue capital calls if only to stay alive to rule another day.

My heart has been with Main Street for many years and there is no doubt that billions of dollars have flowed if only temporarily to the good guys. But the government cavalry is on the march and deservedly so. The volatility has spread from GameStop to other heavily shorted stocks, to the current darlings called SPACs, and on Wednesday perhaps to the overall market. There is justification to the cries from Senator Elizabeth Warren and future SEC Chairman Gary Gensler to control this new form of social media investing which in and of itself seems democratic, legal, and a wonderful invitation for groups of "investment clubs" to innovate.

Still, a GameStop price move from 20 to 350 during one month in January based not on financial fundamentals but technical momentum has few parallels and is indicative of prior mania tops as far back as the South Sea Bubble of 1720, in which the stated offering prospectus of the day issued a purpose and use of funds for a "venture which we presently know not." You could find the same or similar language describing a modern-day SPAC.

As proof of the price overreach during Wednesday's trading session, annualized volatility for both put and call options with 6 and 13 day expirys were trading at 750% volatility, a level in my memory never previously exceeded. A 750% volatility for 6 and 13 day options implied a 1 standard deviation move (up or down) of 395 points for the period, implying there was a 66% chance of GameStop reaching 760 or declining quickly to near zero. Because the stock price had doubled over the past 24 hours, to some Robinhood traders that seemed reasonable but to me it resembled a mania of epic proportions. A 750% vol was indicative of a modern day Marie Antoinette, telling the masses to "eat cake" because there was no bread and potatoes on the menu, the sustenance of life.

During those Wednesday hours, investors buying 750% volatility options and who were rooted on by several prominent investors like Elon Musk who should know better, were the fish at the poker table, not part of an educated investment mob storming the Capitol of Capital.

In the short and long run, investing well depends not just on the fundamentals of quarterly earnings reports but in this case the astute calculation of value embodied in fairly accurate option models that alert investors to improbable if not outlandish expectations. This apparent budding crisis needs regulatory warnings and mainstream media alerts as to the dangers this week, both to overall markets and individual investors.

Meet The Censored: Status Coup

THURSDAY, JAN 28, 2021 - 21:30
Authored by Matt Taibbi via TK News,
On January 6th, Jon Farina, photographer and videographer for Jordan Chariton’s Status Coup outlet, captured horrifying images. At the Capitol, a pro-Trump mob tried to burst into the building, and a police officer who attempted to intercede was caught in a door. He cried out in pain, but the crowd was indifferent, chanting, “Heave, ho!” as they tried to break in. Farina, in the middle of the physical mayhem as photojournalists often are, caught the scene up close while 30,000 people watched the live feed.

Farina’s footage rocketed around the world, and major press outlets celebrated his work as an example of hard-hitting reporting. CNN did a laudatory story about the freelance photojournalist, with Pamela Brown asking Farina to “bring us inside the mayhem.” Other outlets like USA Today quoted his recollections of that day, and the likes of Steven Colbert on CBS, as well as ABC News, NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, the Guardian, the Wall Street Journal, CNN, the New York Post, the Daily Mail, and others used it as fodder for outraged coverage of the riot:

For a week or so, Status Coup was feted for service on the front lines of responsible journalism. Nearly two weeks later, on January 18th, another Farina live stream was shut down by YouTube, thanks to policies that will make it very difficult for non-corporate media going forward to do live reporting. In fact, it’s not a stretch to say that if the incident from the 18th happened earlier, we may never have gotten the Capitol pictures.

On the 18th, Farina was in Richmond, Virginia, where a significant rally of pro-gun protesters was expected. There had been widespread reports warning of unrest. CBS relayed FBI fears of “credible threats of violence,” while the Washington Post said officials were “on edge” ahead of the Martin Luther King Day protest, gearing up for a full-scale assault:
Members of the National Guard are on standby. Plywood covers the windows of the State Capitol. Tall metal barricades surround Capitol Square, with police vehicles idling on pathways just inside locked pedestrian gates. Downtown streets will be closed; signs warning against carrying guns have gone up around the city.
“The violent, lawless insurrection and assault on democracy and its institutions that unfolded last week in Washington, D.C., will not be tolerated in the city of Richmond,” Mayor Levar Stoney warned on Thursday.
The threats may have been credible, but when Farina began live-streaming to an audience of 6,000, the event turned out to be peaceful and unremarkable, though not without interest from a news perspective.

“Frankly, there might have been more press than protesters,” Status Coup’s Chariton said later. “And while it was live, it was pretty informative. Jon talked to 4-5 people, and they pretty much all made it clear that they weren’t Trump supporters, that they didn’t support what happened in the Capitol. They were pretty relaxed compared to the propaganda ahead of time.”

Despite the seeming unremarkableness of the event, it shut down abruptly mid-feed. Chariton assumed something happened on Farina’s end.

“Then I got an email from YouTube, telling me we’d violated their ‘Firearms Policy.’ I wasn’t aware they had a firearms policy.”
OUTRAGEOUS...

Now @YouTube @TeamYouTube just REMOVED @StatusCoup & @JonFarina's Livestream reporting from PEACEFUL Virginia gun rights rally bc
"we think it violates our firearms policy."

— Jordan (@JordanChariton) January 18, 2021
Chariton went onto Twitter to announce what happened, and after a few well-known media figures like Krystal Ball and Ryan Grim complained, YouTube restored the content. Other independents covering the rally, however, like Andrew Kimmel, never had their content restored.

The serious consequence of the Virginia episode was not so much the lost coverage of the rally, but what Chariton had to tell Farina after the event. Well-known for covering labor issues, homelessness, and especially the Flint water crisis, Status Coup had been growing, in large part because of live stream content. Now, however, the possibility that YouTube might issue a strike against his channel, or take it down altogether, forced him into a difficult decision. “I had to tell [Farina] not to go live anymore,” he says.

One person at the same rally wasn’t surprised by what happened. Videographer and well-known protest shooter Ford Fischer of News2Share, the first profile subject of “Meet the Censored,” was also in Richmond to shoot the event. He didn’t get taken down by YouTube, but only because he didn’t bother trying to go live.

“I was there on January 18th and didn’t stream it, because I knew it’d get banned,” Fischer says. “I filmed basically the same rally on January 17th and it did get banned.”

The January 17th rally Fischer referenced was a pro-gun rally in Columbus, Ohio, that in the wake of the Capitol riot garnered significant advance media coverage.

Once again, headlines like “FBI warns of Potential Boogaloo Violence During January 17th Rallies” primed audiences to expect the worst, and also to make a direct connection with the January 6th events. In fact, Twitter cited the coming Ohio rally in its post announcing the closure of Donald Trump’s account, describing the Ohio event as a possible “secondary attack”:
Plans for future armed protests have already begun proliferating on and off-Twitter, including a proposed secondary attack on the US Capitol and state capitol buildings on January 17, 2021.
According to Fischer, the Twitter announcement didn’t exactly make sense, because the protesters in Ohio were more of a libertarian ilk, and, as Farina and Chariton discovered in the Virginia crowd, not so clearly aligned with Trump as Twitter and other media outlets may have imagined. Fischer has frequently covered events involving the gun-toting Boogaloos, whom he describes as anti-authoritarian and less likely to be Trumpists than to profess a pox-on-both-houses attitude to Trump and Joe Biden both (“You might hear something like, ‘Unless you put Ron Paul on the ballot, I’m not voting,’” he says).

Although there’s significant national interest in the group, both among supporters and detractors, Fischer says “I’ve basically stopped trying to live stream rallies involving Boogaloos.” Back on July 4th, 2020, he shot a live stream of a joint armed rally of Boogaloos and Black Lives Matter, protesting together against police violence — here again, we see the significant political differences between Trump supporters and some of these pro-gun groups — only to have the live stream interrupted, on the same grounds that it violated Google’s firearms policy.

Nonetheless, Fischer attempted to shoot the January 17th rally, among other things because of the obvious public interest in the event, which was heavily covered by the mainstream press. Local TV affiliates associated with networks like ABC and CNN covered the January 17th rallies in Columbus and in other locations, even broadcasting live. However, when Fischer tried to live stream, he was cut off in short order by a notice identical to the one received by Chariton.

He was reminded that YouTube “does not allow live streams showing someone holding, handling, or transporting a firearm.”

The policy presents obvious head-scratching issues. For one, as Fischer points out, virtually all police carry a firearm, so “there’s obviously some subjectivity in what’s being enforced.” Furthermore, the rule doesn’t seem to apply to major corporate outlets, a double-standard problem that’s a constant in this universe.

In an even more bizarre recent incident, YouTube this past weekend removed video Fischer shot on January 6th — not live footage, but still — of the crowd listening to Donald Trump before the Capitol riot. This time, the grounds were that the content advanced “false claims that widespread fraud errors or glitches affected the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.”

Fischer supposes the issue has to do with the fact that the unedited, single-shot video — which is focused mainly on the crowd reaction — caught Trump’s own words. This might make sense, except that Trump’s speech that day is still on YouTube, as broadcast by several CBS affiliates, among others. As with Farina, Fischer’s Capitol protest footage was picked up by numerous major outlets, including CNN, NBC, CBS, BBC, and others, but the system seems to incentivize independent shooters to distribute footage through corporate outlets only, rather than conveying directly to their own audiences.

“I absolutely think there’s a campaign against independent content creators, especially live,” Fischer says. “Major outlets face no such technical issues.”

This makes any attempt to build an alternative news outlet a steep uphill climb, even when there’s a positive audience response, as Chariton has found out.

Formerly with The Young Turks, Chariton’s niche is national news from a left/progressive perspective, with special emphasis on the area where corporate outlets once had a near-monopoly, e.g. on-location production of images and reporting.

Typically, alternative media outlets can’t afford to travel much and often have to rely on wire services and commercial coverage for primary source material, especially for expensive beats like the presidential election. Chariton emphasizes going to hot spots like Flint and to election campaign events to generate original images and video interviews, an innovative alt-media take on national news coverage. Live stream coverage had been a major part of their formula.

The Ohio and Virginia incidents underscore two developments involving platforms like YouTube/Google, Facebook, and Twitter in recent years. The first is the campaign to stress what Google calls “authoritative content,” which up-ranks articles and videos issued by major corporate news outlets like CNN or CBS, while decreasing traffic for independent sites on the left, the right, and in between.

The second has been an effort to close loopholes in the platforms’ content moderation regimes. In the wake of the Capitol riot, this trend intensified. After the “insurrection,” a series of trial-balloon stories appeared in the press, suggesting that Internet nooks and crannies where conspiracy theory and misinformation proliferate might need more aggressive cleaning.

GameStop takedown of hedge funds is Trumpism

GameStop's stock closed at $4.21 a share a year ago today. It fared OK during the covid 19 stock crash the next month, losing less than 50 cents a share. And then its price started to climb as it closed stores and moved online. The video game industry has exploded.

And GameStop's price exploded. It peaked at $469.42 a share on Wednesday.

That cost a hedge fund $13 billion because its managers bet against the company's price rising.

This run-up of the stock began with the social media monster Reddit, which has a subreddit (chat room) called WallStreetBets. A fellow using the pseudonym DeepF**kingValue got people to bet on GameStop beginning in September.

The New York Post reported, "The massive surge in GameStop’s stock price has made three of its biggest investors billions of dollars richer.

"The video-game retailer’s top individual shareholders racked up a collective gain as large as $5.5 billion as Reddit day traders drove the shares to dizzying heights.

"The biggest winner is Chewy.com founder Ryan Cohen, who joined GameStop’s board of directors earlier this month."

The story also said, "Cohen owns about 9 million GameStop shares for which he paid an average of $9.12 apiece, putting his an initial investment at roughly $82 million, according to Bloomberg data. His 13 percent stake in the company had ballooned to a market value $3.4 billion at Wednesday’s peak share price of $380, giving him a paper profit of more than $3.3 billion."

Well that is on paper.

His actual gain may be 50¢ when GameStop's price falls to the reality that it is worth the $9.12 he paid. And GameStop will be better off having a successful online merchant on its board.

But the fallout is on Reddit because hedge funds don't like to lose money. And hedge funds have friends in powerful places. And as helpful and loyal to the Cause as Reddit has been (it banished its popular The Donald subreddit), Reddit enabled a ragtag group of nobodies to kneecap a hedge fund.

Stacey McCain loves the story to death. He has 13 billion reasons to like it, one for each dollar lost.

He wrote, "Prison gang rape is the only metaphor that comes to mind for how badly the hedge funds got screwed on their GameStop shorts. How bad was it? So bad that NASDAQ intervened, so bad that Discord shut down the WallStreetBets chat channel, so bad that the Securities and Exchange Commission is now investigating the Reddit crew."

Robinhood, an online stock trader that targets people under 40, has blocked purchases of GameStop, AMC, and BlackBerry stock. It turns out Robinhood really does not want to make you a millionaire, kiddies. Sorry.

Glenn Reynolds wrote, "In the words of George Carlin, it’s a big club and you ain’t in it. But this is especially awkward for Robinhood, which is acting like a Deputy Sheriff of Nottingham. I assume its status as a cool brand for millennials and Gen Z will take a major hit."

Young Robinhood customers are learning a life lesson that while people can get rich quick, they are not one of them. You have to be part of the In Crowd. Martha Stewart thought she was. She went to prison over a $45,000 trade. (A jury convicted her of conspiracy, obstruction of an agency proceeding, and making false statements to federal investigator.) Conrad Black also went to prison for a bad stock deal. (A jury convicted him of three counts of fraud and one count of obstruction of justice) No one at that hedge fund will do time for losing $13 billion.

The media immediately blamed Donald John Trump.

Well, why not?

Chris Cillizza of CNN wrote, "What's the end game for the GameStop surgers? Like, now that they have proven the point that they can take a stock that the pros have declared moribund and revive it -- at least for a moment -- what do they do now? Because they don't really believe that GameStop is suddenly the new Amazon or Apple or Google. It's still mostly a business that derives its value from brick and mortar stores in malls. Which, again, is not exactly a big growth area in the coming years.

"The point is that there is no real point beyond showing up the pros -- proving to them that they aren't as smart as they think they are and that they don't have the ability to control everything.

"Which, again, has its roots in Trumpism. The entire notion of Trump's candidacy and presidency was to stick it to the elites. And then, well, uh, there wasn't really a plan beyond that. The screwjob was the point."

I agree, though.

We are sticking it to the elitists. Cillizza called them elite but there is nothing rare about their willingness to screw others for personal gain.

A hedge fund tried to short GameStop and got caught.

Good.

Charles Payne at Fox said, "The shorts, first of all, all this nonsense, all of this noise, all this whining by Wall Street, it’s making me sick! 140% of GameStop was short. I didn’t hear one person on TV complaining about Wall Street trying to crush GameStop, 140% short!”

"Neil, you can’t allow Wall Street to short 75% of a stock and nobody says anything, crush these companies into the dirt, and then when the individual investor makes money everyone is up in arms.

"Oh, they’re going to lose their shirt? Don’t you think people are trading, traded 80 billion shares today. People are ringing the register. I have a kid who bought a house. He made $50,000 and bought a house. So yeah, some people are going to lose, some are going to win. But if they want to change the rules of the game now because the general public is making money after decades of the shorts crushing thousands of stocks into the dirt, I watched stocks being crushed completely to zero and no one ever whispered anything because those stocks didn’t have Wall Street sponsorship."

This is a small payback.

The elitists gutted our Midwest in the 1970s and shipped the jobs to Mexico and Japan. Reagan tried to reverse that, but he was hobbled by the Republican Party. The Bushes, Clinton, and Obama followed, and the jobs moved to Red China because slave labor is cheaper than paying a worker $13.50 an hour to make widgets.

The American economy lost trillions. We know that because Red China's economy gained trillions.

We elected Donald Trump president and Washington went into open rebellion. Federal employees sabotaged his administration. The elitist insurrection shut down the economy, printed money to keep Wall Street's fortunes rising, and still had to rig the election to get him out.

The elitists bragged that this is a new post-industrial society. This is the information age, they sneered.

OK. So a bunch of people did what the elitists do and the elitists are hopping mad because the wrong people won and made them look silly.

They know who DeepF**kingValue is, and they will do to him what the British did to Guy Fawkes but without the hanging.

It is their game and their rules. I say we learn to ballot harvest.

When Resistance Became Sedition and Sedition Became Resistance
Republicans failed to punish Obama’s national security abuses. Biden’s abuses will be worse.

Thu Jan 28, 2021
Daniel Greenfield

bosch_5.jpg

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical Left and Islamic terrorism.

In 2008, “dissent” went from being the “highest form of patriotism”, a quote by Communist revisionist historian Howard Zinn that Democrats falsely attributed to Thomas Jefferson, to treason when George W. Bush made way for Barack H. Obama. The old bumper stickers about the patriotic value of dissent were swiftly replaced with others touting the value of change.

In 2020, resistance just as quickly turned into sedition once the political tables were turned.

In one month, questioning a presidential election went from a commonplace proposition to a shocking attack on our democracy. And we all know that if President Trump had been inaugurated for a second term, there would be no censorship or censure of the Democrat politicians and pundits claiming that he was only reelected because of Russia or UFOs.

Nor would we be hearing any talk of “sedition” and “insurrection” as if they were bad things.

When November was just decorating the flagstones of D.C. with faded leaves, the Democrat cliques inside federal agencies were still touting their skill at undermining the White House in chats with reporters at bars where drinks cost more than most Americans earn in a day.

These members of the “resistance” had spent four years undermining elected officials while falsely claiming that they were entitled to do it because the 2016 election had been illegitimate.

Government officials boasted anonymously of undermining President Trump, members of Congress and their staffers helped protesters get inside to disrupt hearings, rioters who assaulted police officers and attacked federal buildings were bailed out by Democrat officials and celebrities who enlisted Silicon Valley and major corporations to support the riots.

By the time November was done, resistance had been rebranded as “sedition”. Storming Capitol Hill went from a passionate endeavor by Democrat activists protesting the Kavanaugh nomination, the environment, or some other lefty cause, to the single worst event since 9/11.

Black Lives Matter riots had besieged the White House and set fire to its guardhouse, while still being defended by Democrats and the media as peaceful protesters. The media agonized over photos of federal agents protecting the Lincoln Memorial as a sign of incipient fascism. Less than a year later, 25,000 troops occupying D.C. like Baghdad are being cheered by the media.

The difference between resistance and sedition, between protests and insurrections, is who’s in charge. Democrats resist Republican elected officials. Republicans however commit sedition against Democrat elected officials.

Democrats protest, Republicans riot. These aren’t distinctions in law. The only real distinction is who’s in power and who’s on the barricades.

Political hypocrisy isn’t a new phenomenon, but Democrats weaponizing the national security state to suppress the political opposition over the same behavior they engage in is a serious threat to the survival of the United States as anything other than a banana republic in a civil war.

The Democrats fired the first shot when the Obama administration used the national security system to target members of Congress during its time in office and then, in an election year, went after President Trump’s associates based on Hillary Clinton’s opposition research.

Instead of being held accountable for abusing national security to target their political opponents, Democrats, their media, and their allies in the system doubled down with fake investigations of the same worthless allegations that they never managed to substantiate.

After four years of falsely claiming that President Trump was a Russian agent and that the 2016 election had somehow been rigged with Facebook ads in an event that was worse than 9/11, the Democrats have pivoted to claiming that questioning the 2020 election is worse than 9/11.

Now the old abuse of the national security state under the guise of hunting down the evidence that Republicans had rigged the 2016 election has turned into abusing the national security state to punish Republicans for suggesting that the Democrats had rigged the 2020 election.

The only consistent thing here is the Democrat abuse of national security to target their political opponents while magically transforming election skepticism from the highest form of patriotism to sedition, and riots from a moral crusade into a major threat because they are now in power.

The failure to have any kind of reckoning with the Obama administration’s national security abuses has taken us to a new era of national security abuses by the Biden administration.

Democrat officials and their media allies are already touting a new campaign against “domestic extremism”. And the same people who labeled John McCain and Mitt Romney “extremists” when they were running against their boss will get to define who the “extremists” are. Black Lives Matter, a hate group that injured hundreds of police officers and caused $2 billion in damage while taking its motto from a domestic terrorist wanted by the FBI won’t make the list.

The abuse of national security to target the political opposition isn’t a new phenomenon. The Clinton administration insisted that the real threat to America was coming from militias even while Al Qaeda was prepping the attacks that would kill nearly 3,000 people on September 11.

Democrats repeatedly claimed that the Bush Administration’s campaign against terrorists was punishing political dissent, but despite these false claims, Bush’s counter-terrorism never even came close to eavesdropping on, investigating, or shutting down the political opposition.

That didn’t stop Democrats from repeatedly invoking the Gestapo and the Stasi when attacking the Patriot Act, Ashcroft, and Gonzalez. It also didn’t stop them from abusing the Patriot Act and the national security system built to fight Communists and Islamic terrorists to target members of Congress and the political opposition including President Trump and his associates.

Democrats and the media quickly got back to comparing President Trump to Hitler and accusing him of fascism, yet his administration never did to Biden what Obama had done to Trump. The Trump administration didn’t eavesdrop on Biden associates under the guise of national security. The damaging material about Hunter Biden and his father’s ties to China came out of a laptop shop in Vermont, not from the synthesis of political operatives and national security personnel which had exploited the Steele Dossier’s false claims about Trump and Russian prostitutes.

And the same alliance between Democrat political operatives, the media, and Silicon Valley that had spread these false allegations far and wide, acted to suppress news stories about Hunter Biden on the false and familiar grounds that they represented Russian disinformation.

The suppression of the Hunter Biden story may be the last hurrah for Russian disinformation.

Biden is moving to appease Russia and that means the Democrats and the media will spend a lot less time justifying their abuses of national security by connecting Republicans to Russia. It would be awkward for Biden and Putin to hug one day after our government media got through with another concocted story justifying a crackdown on conservatives by exploiting Russia.

The Russia hoax generated a national security angle that justified abusing the broad discretion meant for chasing spies and terrorists to instead chase conservatives and Republicans. The Capitol riot provided a new pretext that has allowed the Democrats to dispense with Russia while labeling membership in the political opposition as evidence of a national security threat.

Anyone who questioned Biden’s election can be accused of “incitement”, “sedition”, and “insurrection” without Democrats and their media having to find Russia on a map.

These grotesque abuses of national security are being carried out by the same Democrats who had been neck deep in what they’ve now defined as incitement, sedition, and insurrection. Yesterday’s seditionists now fantasize, in their own words, about using the government they have seized to “investigate”, “suppress”, and “deprogram” the political opposition.

The Republican governing class has failed to come to terms with the reality that its Democrat counterparts operate by a very different definition of law and government than they do. The Democrats don’t simply disregard the Constitution, as they have ever since Woodrow Wilson, but they regard their own power as legitimate and the power of Republicans as illegitimate.

The Democrats are hypocrites only in that they don’t openly state their central principle, but they are remarkably consistent in its application by seeking to dismantle any part of government or society that aids Republicans while building up the power of any part of it that serves them.

Republicans take a legal or philosophical perspective on everything while Democrats have an expedient activist take on it. Republicans turn to the law or tradition, while Democrats decide whether the Filibuster, the Electoral College, the institution of marriage, the existence of white people, and the biological reality of women serves their purposes or ought to be eliminated.

That’s Obama’s thesis about the right side of history in a brutal nutshell.

Democrats approach politics from the simple and consistent perspective that any office currently held by a Republican is illegitimate and any held by a Democrat is sacrosanct. The reasons for this, whether it’s the Russians or white supremacy, are just a propaganda detail. That’s why Democrats “resist” while Republicans commit “sedition”. The difference between resistance and sedition is the legitimacy of the movement and the legitimacy of those in power.

Their approach to the national security state is motivated by that same understanding that its purpose is to promote “resistance” to Republicans and the suppression of Republican “sedition”.

When Republicans failed to carry out a meaningful reckoning of Obama’s national security abuses they didn’t just allow an injustice to go unpunished, but they ensured a much worse repetition by emboldened Democrats who committed the worst political abuse of the national security system that had been possible until then and got away with it. That’s the next step.

The Biden administration is moving to criminalize the political opposition, to investigate and dismantle it using all of the tools at its disposal. That is the only thing Republicans can expect. It’s exactly what they should have been expecting all along. Obama’s abuses of the national security state were not an outlier. They are the new normal. And they’re only going to get worse.

Republicans failed to hold the Democrats accountable when they were in power. They will now have to learn how to hold them accountable when they’re out of power, not with hearings or investigations, but by showing who the oppressors and the oppressed in the system really are.

Joe-Biden-4-e1611948396500.jpg

Joe Biden Has Issued 42 Executive Actions In One Week, A Practice He Recently Called ‘Dictator’ Behavior.
The number of executive orders issued by President Biden in the first week – who once decried the legislative move as undemocratic and used by “dictators” – is more double the amount of the past seven presidents combined.
In just seven days, President Biden issued 42 executive actions.

That’s ten times as many as Donald Trump and over eight times as many as Barack Obama. It is a whopping 22 times greater than Bill Clinton, and 42 more than Presidents Reagan and Bush.

As the left liked to say of Donald Trump: this is not normal.

Joe Biden even recognized this on the run up to the Presidential election, calling the unilateral use of executive actions the hallmark of a “dictator.”

Speaking at an October 15th, 2020 town hall with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, then-candidate Biden insisted that presidents who rule by executive order are undemocratic:

I have this strange notion. We are a democracy. Some of my Republican friends and some of my Democratic friends even say: well if you can’t get the votes, by executive order you’re going to do something, things you can’t do by executive order unless you’re a dictator.

“We’re a democracy. We need consensus,” the President who’s relied on executive orders to pass his agenda added.

Watch:

As American University History Professor Allan Lichtman noted: “He’s on a record pace, and not by a nose. But by several lengths.”

And President Biden’s pace on issuing executive orders hasn’t dipped since the first week; by the ninth day of his administration, the total has skyrocketed to 40.

The topics of the executive orders range from race to immigration to climate change but share a common goals: to completely erase the legacy of President Trump.
Even if it means sacrificing the country’s national security.
Here is a list of Biden’s Execution Actions:
  • ‘Executive Order on Strengthening Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act.’ Promotes socialized healthcare.
  • ‘Memorandum on Protecting Women’s Health at Home and Abroad.’ Forces U.S. taxpayers to fund foreign abortions.
  • ‘Executive Order on Tackling the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad.’ Destroys jobs in oil and gas.
  • ‘Executive Order on Establishing President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.’ Empowers bureaucrats.
  • ‘Memorandum on Restoring Trust in Government Through Scientific Integrity and Evidence-Based Policymaking.’ Emboldens scientists who lied during coronavirus crisis in 2020.

  • ‘Executive Order on Reforming Our Incarceration System to Eliminate the Use of Privately Operated Criminal Detention Facilities.’ Forces prisons to be run by government, not private enterprise.
  • ‘Memorandum on Redressing Our Nation’s and the Federal Government’s History of Discriminatory Housing Practices and Policies.’
  • ‘Memorandum on Tribal Consultation and Strengthening Nation-to-Nation Relationships.’ Commits federal agencies to “engage in regular, robust and meaningful consultation with Tribal governments.”
  • ‘Executive Order on Enabling All Qualified Americans to Serve Their Country in Uniform.’ Pushes transgenderism in the military.
  • ‘Executive Order on Ensuring the Future Is Made in All of America by All of America’s Workers.’ Continues Trump-era policies on buying American for the federal government.
  • ‘Executive Order on Protecting the Federal Workforce.’ Attempts to enforce a $15 minimum wage.
  • ‘Executive Order on Economic Relief Related to the COVID-19 Pandemic.’ Calls for relief but provides $0.00 for it.
  • ‘Pausing Federal Student Loan Payments.’ Pauses student loan payments while working people still have to pay theirs.
  • ‘Extend Eviction and Foreclosure Moratoriums.’ Extends the existing nationwide moratorium on evictions and foreclosures until at least March 31.
  • ‘Proclamation on the Suspension of Entry as Immigrants and Non-Immigrants of Certain Additional Persons Who Pose a Risk of Transmitting Coronavirus Disease.’ A “xenophobic” travel ban (in Biden’s own words).
  • ‘Memorandum to Extend Federal Support to Governors’ Use of the National Guard to Respond to COVID-19 and to Increase Reimbursement and Other Assistance Provided to States.’ Spends government money on Biden’s use of the National Guard.
  • ‘Executive Order on a Sustainable Public Health Supply Chain.’ Unclear.
  • ‘Executive Order on Establishing the COVID-19 Pandemic Testing Board and Ensuring a Sustainable Public Health Workforce for COVID-19 and Other Biological Threats.’ Adds a layer of bureaucracy to coronavirus testing.
  • ‘Executive Order on Improving and Expanding Access to Care and Treatments for COVID-19.’ Promotes the same “therapeutics” the media once called Trump crazy for supporting.
  • ‘Executive Order on Ensuring a Data-Driven Response to COVID-19 and Future High-Consequence Public Health Threats.Adds more bureaucracy to the government’s pandemic response.
  • ‘Create more vaccination sites.’
  • ‘Executive Order on Supporting the Reopening and Continuing Operation of Schools and Early Childhood Education Providers.’ Directs schools to be reopened, which the left resisted under Trump.
  • ‘Executive Order on Protecting Worker Health and Safety.’ Adds bureaucracy for workplace standards.

  • ‘Executive Order on Ensuring a Lawful and Accurate Enumeration and Apportionment Pursuant to the Decennial Census.’ Attempts to hand areas with high levels of non-citizens more political representation in Congress.
  • ‘Preserving and Fortifying Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.’ Hands more money to illegal immigrants.
  • ‘Proclamation on Ending Discriminatory Bans on Entry to the United States.’ Enables radical jihadists to enter America.
  • ‘Executive Order on the Revision of Civil Immigration Enforcement Policies and Priorities.’ Undoes Trump’s expansion of immigration enforcement.
  • ‘Proclamation on the Termination of Emergency With Respect to the Southern Border of the United States and Redirection of Funds Diverted to Border Wall Construction.’ Seeks to create open borders.
  • ‘Reinstating Deferred Enforced Departure for Liberians.’ Extends deferrals of deportation and work authorizations for Liberians with a haven in the United States until June 30, 2022.
  • ‘Executive Order on Ethics Commitments by Executive Branch Personnel.’ Requires executive branch appointees to sign an ethics pledge barring them from acting in personal interest and requiring them to uphold the independence of the Department of Justice, however Janet Yellen has already breached this with no comeuppance.
  • ‘Modernizing Regulatory Review.’ Replaces one bureaucracy with another.

LET FREEDOM RING: Secession Fever Sweeps Across America as Biden Regime Loses Legitimacy

Free Americans want a national divorce.

With President-imposed Joe Biden seizing control of the White House after a widespread cover-up of electoral fraud allegations, states are getting serious about the idea of secession as a way to insulate themselves from left-wing corruption.

Patriotic activists in Weld County, Colo. are organizing to be reincorporated as part of Wyoming. Colorado is a state that has turned blue in recent years due to an influx of California liberals who have brought their far-left politics with them.

They hope to make secession from blue states into a new national movement.

“Denver and Boulder have declared war not only on Weld County, but common sense itself with regulations designed to kill energy jobs,” the Weld County, Wyoming political committee said in an announcement. They hope to get the measure on the ballot for the Nov. 2021 election.

“Putting radical animal rights activists in positions of power over the ranching industry, two of Weld’s key economic drivers. They are also at war with small businesses. People who hold traditional values are vilified as racist homophobic (misogynist) bigots,” they added.

Big League Politics reported earlier this week about states such as Texas and Wyoming considering secession to form their own independent countries:
Texas state representative Kyle Biedermann (R-Fredericksburg) has introduced legislation that would put the question of secession to the people.
The legislation, House Bill 1359, would put a nonbinding referendum to Texas voters with the following question: “Should the legislature of the State of Texas submit a plan for leaving the United States of America and establishing an independent republic?”
To bolster his idea for secession, Biedermann is claiming that there are “indications that the Republic of Texas would not just survive, but thrive as an independent nation.”
“Voters of all political persuasions in Texas can agree on one thing, Washington D.C. is and has been broken,” Biedermann said in a press release.
“Our federal government continuously fails our working families, seniors, taxpayers, veterans and small business owners. For decades, the promises of America and our individual liberties have been eroding,” he continued.
“It is now time that the people of Texas are allowed the right to decide their own future. This is not a left or right political issue. Let Texans Vote!” Biedermann exclaimed…
Biedermann’s efforts are beginning to spread to other states whose leaders are beginning to doubt the legitimacy of the federal government. Wyoming Republican Party chairman Frank Eathorne has spoken in positive terms of Biedermann’s nascent secession movement in Texas.
“We need to focus on the fundamentals. We are straight talking, focused on the global scene, but we’re also focused at home. Many of these Western states have the ability to be self-reliant, and we’re keeping eyes on Texas too, and their consideration of possible secession. They have a different state constitution than we do as far as wording, but it’s something we’re all paying attention to,” Eathorne said.
Americans deserve a divorce with the federal government before their entire nation and civilization fall apart. Secession may be the answer to save what is left of freedom in America

The Domestic Terrorism Act Boils Down to State Prosecution of White People for False Sedition
By Gary D. Barnett
January 27, 2021

“There is no crueler tyranny than that which is perpetuated under the shield of law and in the name of justice.”
~ Baron de Montesquieu

A very horrendous bill was introduced recently in Congress called the “Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2021.” The irony of this bill title is that it is not about preventing terrorism; it is about legalizing terrorism by the state against the citizenry. It would be more appropriately titled the U.S. Government Terrorism Authorization Act of 2021.

The motivating factor for this atrocity was said to be the recent purposely staged and intentionally allowed false-flag coup at the Capitol on January 6th. The entire situation was planned in advance to assure that Biden would be the ‘selected’ president, while the members of Congress could pretend to be fearful for their lives. The police led both legitimate and criminal protesters inside the Capitol building, allowed them to remain there, all while doing nothing but brutally murdering one innocent woman. The cowardly Congress was shuttled into safe places to hide until enough pictures and video could be taken, and enough facial recognition could be gathered so that the desired Trump supporters could be gathered up and jailed while others would walk free. This was the plot and now the scene is set. The feigned ‘indignant’ Congress got everything they wanted out of this directed production.

This non-threatening Hollywood-like creation ended peacefully of course, but was made out to be another 9/11. This minor event has been called a terrifying attack, a domestic terrorism attack, a hate crime, devastating, an experience of terror by white nationalists, and heinous violent crimes; all said to have been prosecuted by homegrown domestic terrorists made up of white supremacists, and other racially and ethnically motivated violent extremists. In other words, white people!

Co-sponsor for this tyrannical bill, Democratic Representative Brad Schneider, said this in a press release on January 20:

“Following the terrifying attack on the Capitol this month, which left five dead and many injured, the entire nation has been seized by the potential threat of more terrorist attacks in Washington and around the country. Unlike after 9/11, the threat that reared its ugly head on January 6th is from domestic terror groups and extremists, often racially-motivated violent individuals. America must be vigilant to combat those radicalized to violence, and the Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act gives our government the tools to identify, monitor and thwart their illegal activities. Combatting the threat of domestic terrorism and white supremacy is not a Democratic or Republican issue, not left versus right or urban versus rural.

Domestic Terrorism is an American issue, a serious threat the we can and must address together,” said Rep. Brad Schneider (IL-10).”

“I am proud to be an original cosponsor of this bill, which we need now more than ever. In the wake of the domestic terrorist attack on our Capitol two weeks ago, it is painfully clear that the current approach to addressing the real and persistent threat posed by white nationalism and similar ideologies is not working. We must not allow hate crimes and domestic terrorism to continue unchecked. I look forward to working with my colleagues to advance this important and timely bill as quickly as possible,” said Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler (NY-10).”

In this ridiculous press release, he used the word white, white nationalism, and white supremacist at least ten times. Democrat Vincente González from Texas said “the Domestic Terror Prevention Act is more important than ever as we work to root out and rid America of this cancer.” The cancer he is alluding to is concerning white people that either are not Democrat, are against Biden, or against this government.

This bill will be used to set up a witch-hunt for mainly white people in America, mostly white males. Half the country will be considered guilty. It will be used to destroy businesses, steal property, incarcerate those that oppose the state narrative, separate families, to censor speech at every turn, and even murder. Ex-CIA head, John Brennan, came up with a list that included as he put it, “an unholy alliance of religious extremists, authoritarians, fascists, bigots, racists, nativists, even libertarians.” In this planned legislation, whiteness is vilified, as the bogeymen are white supremacists, white nationalists, and supposedly those that that are guilty of ‘hate’ crimes, hate crimes being anything thought ‘offensive’ by idiot leftists, progressives, and globalists. None of this is qualified of course, and this pending bill is just as vague in its description of the targeted class. All these people and more should be silenced, “reprogrammed,” and eliminated according to those supporting this act that is nothing less than a plan to prosecute false sedition.

The list of supporters endorsing this tyrannical piece of legislation is telling to say the least. They include:

Anti-Defamation League, Arab American Institute, Bend the Arc: Jewish Action, Center for the Study of Hate & Extremism, Human Rights Campaign, Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, Muslim Advocates, NAACP, NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc., Sikh Coalition, Southern Poverty Law Center Action Fund, and Unidos.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of Justice (DOJ), and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will gain massive additional powers, and funding, in order to monitor (surveil), investigate (spy), and prosecute (terrorize, murder, and jail) so-called cases of generally undefined “domestic terrorism.”

This legislation is a travesty, and can only lead to extreme totalitarian political policing of all that believe in freedom and that stand against the state.

Alexander Solzhenitsyn Takes On The Progressives
A new essay collection, 'Solzhenitsyn and American Culture: The Russian Soul in the West,' illuminates how the vaunted Russian writer's warnings about secularism and progressivism are as prescient and insightful as ever.

Louis Markos

By Louis Markos
JANUARY 29, 2021

If there is one thing that 2020 has taught me, it is that the real political and cultural divide in our country is not between Republicans and Democrats, or even conservatives and liberals, but between traditionalists and progressives.

At the core of progressivism is not the optimistic American belief that things are improving and that our children can live better lives than we did, but the belief that man is a perfectible product of evolutionary forces. Rather than being made in God’s image and then fallen, progressives believe we must throw off the shackles and prejudices of the past in order to move forward to build utopia.

The traditionalist is not against growth and change, but he recognizes, as Edmund Burke did in his Reflections on the Revolution in France, the danger of trying to remake society and man in the image of a new ideology that radically redefines such words as truth, justice, and equality. The progressive has no qualms about running roughshod over the established beliefs, institutions, and mores of a nation if he can only achieve his goals. At its most extreme, progressivism can justify to itself any present-day atrocity as long as it claims to be helping usher in a future brave new world of absolute egalitarianism.

The genealogy of progressivism runs from Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s naïve belief in the noble savage to the bloody social engineering of the French Revolution to the deterministic dialectical materialism of Karl Marx, out of which arose the horrors inflicted on their own people by Lenin and Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong and Pol Pot, Fidel Castro and Kim Jong-Il. According to all these progressive leaders, history was moving unstoppably toward their worker’s paradise, and anyone who sought to hinder its arrival—by deed, word, or thought—was backward, unenlightened, and, to use a cherished word of Marxist elites, atavistic.
Since the true face of progressivism revealed itself in the French Revolution, a number of brave critics have risen up to expose its destructive pretensions and its false view of man. A short list of these critics includes Burke, Alexis Tocqueville, the authors of the Federalist Papers, Cardinal John Henry Newman, G. K. Chesterton, T. S. Eliot, George Orwell, C. S. Lewis, and Pope John Paul II. The critic, however, who saw and understood the dangers most clearly, partly because he suffered greatly at the hands of progressivism run amok, was Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn.

The Man, The Writer, The Prophet
Born one year after the Russian Revolution, Solzhenitsyn was raised as a loyal Soviet and even served as an officer in the army—until he was arrested in 1945 for saying something negative about Stalin. He spent eight years in the prison camps of the Gulag.

After being released, he lived in exile in Kazakhstan, where he taught physics. He later returned to Russia and published a novel, One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich (1962), which he based on his experiences in the Gulag. Although he was awarded the Nobel Prize in literature in 1970, when his literary exposé, The Gulag Archipelago, appeared in the 1970s, he was forced to flee the country, eventually moving to the United States in 1976.

Hailed as a hero of democracy and freedom, Solzhenitsyn was invited to give the commencement address at Harvard University in 1978. After sincerely praising American freedom, Solzhenitsyn went on to criticize Western secularism, rationalism, and materialism. His address lost him the support of many in the media and academy, but it stands as a bold witness to the poisonous excesses of the progressivist spirit.

Similarly, when he was awarded the Templeton Prize in England in 1983, his speech, which drew a straight line from godlessness to the Gulag, caused him to be further labeled as old-fashioned, out of touch, reactionary, and, yes, atavistic. Solzhenitsyn, ostracized by the liberal thinkers who had once hailed him as a champion of freedom, lived the life of a recluse in Vermont until, remarkably, he was allowed to return to Russia in 1994, where he lived out the remainder of his long life in peace.

Like Ivan Denisovich, all of Solzhenitsyn’s major novels incorporate autobiographical elements. The three-volume The Gulag Archipelago critiques and exposes both Leninism-Stalinism and Western secular rationalism. Cancer Ward is a profound meditation on death by an author who almost died of cancer.

The First Circle is a conversation between inmates in a Soviet white-collar prison for educated scientists, with one of the characters based on the author’s own younger self as he moved from rationalism to religion. The four-volume The Red Wheel is a re-imagining of the Russian Revolution that blends fiction and non-fiction, historical documents and Solzhenitsyn’s own incisive analysis of how the “fated” revolution could have been avoided by different choices on the part of free, volitional individuals.

Thankfully for those who are familiar with Ivan Denisovich and the Harvard Address but have yet to work up the energy to read his long, complex, circuitous novels, a collection of essays has appeared that illuminates the many facets of Solzhenitsyn the man, the writer, and the prophet.

Edited by David P. Deavel, co-director of the Terence J. Murphy Institute for Catholic Thought, Law, and Public Policy at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, and Jessica Hooten Wilson, Louise Cowan Scholar in Residence at the University of Dallas, Solzhenitsyn and American Culture: The Russian Soul in the West explores Solzhenitsyn’s links to Russian culture, Orthodoxy, politics, and other Soviet writers, as well as the influence that he and his fellow Russians have had on twentieth-century American writers. Although the collection is wide-ranging in its analysis, it’s especially valuable for illuminating what Solzhenitsyn can teach us about the dangers of progressivism today.

The Ideological Lie
In the opening essay, “The Universal Russian Soul,” Nathan Nielson, a graduate of St. John’s College, quotes this passage from Solzhenitsyn’s 1993 speech “The Relentless Cult of Novelty”: “And in one sweeping gesture of vexation, classical Russian literature—which never disdained reality and sought the truth—is dismissed as next to worthless. Denigrating the past is deemed to be the key to progress. And so it has once again become fashionable in Russia to ridicule, debunk, and toss overboard the great Russian literature, steeped as it is in love and compassion toward all human beings, and especially toward those who suffer.”

Needless to say, the fear Solzhenitsyn prophetically expresses here has been realized in increasingly shameless attempts by American universities to ridicule, debunk, and toss overboard our Western heritage as a prelude to building an egalitarian, multicultural society, despite the fact that the legacy they want to jettison has provided the sole foundation for liberal democracy and individual freedom. Solzhenitsyn knew that no stable future could be built on hatred of the past, since hatred of the past inevitably leads to hatred of the self, not to mention hatred of one’s neighbor and one’s society.

The two essays that follow, “The New Middle Ages” and “The Age of Concentration,” are not analyses of Solzhenitsyn, but reflections by a modern Russian novelist, Eugene Vodolazkin, who shares Solzhenitsyn’s spirit and his mistrust of all progressive attempts to build a perfect society.

“It is wrong to think of utopias as harmless dreams,” he warns. “Combined with the idea of progress, utopian thought is a dream that motivates action. It establishes a goal so lofty that it cannot be reached. The more ideal it becomes, the greater the stubbornness with which it is pursued. There comes a time when blood is spilled. Oceans of blood.” In one way or another, all of Solzhenitsyn’s novels work out just that terrifying cause and effect, ripping away the façade of humanitarianism or revolutionary consciousness or classless equality to reveal the beast within.

In that vein, David Walsh, professor of politics at Catholic University, locates in The Red Wheel a central struggle “between those who seek to remake Russia in accordance with their own idea of it and those who seek to submit to the idea of Russia as itself the guiding principle of their action. It is the difference between ideology and truth. The protagonists of ideology are driven by the conviction of the superiority of their conception to all that has existed. The servants of truth subordinate themselves to what is required to bring what is already there more fully into existence.”

What is at issue here is not only the destructive nature of ends-justifies-the-means thinking, but the anti-humanistic arrogance that invests Marxist ideology (dialectical materialism, economic determinism, identity politics) with a sacred imprimatur for radically remaking society.

In his analysis of The Gulag Archipelago, Gary Saul Morson, Lawrence B. Dumas Professor of the Arts and Humanities at Northwestern University, considers a question that Solzhenitsyn asks himself: Why do Shakespeare’s greatest villains kill only a few people while Lenin and Stalin killed millions?

The reason, Morson explains, “is that Macbeth and Iago ‘had no ideology.’ Real people do not resemble the evildoers of mass culture, who delight in cruelty and destruction. No, to do mass evil you have to believe it is good, and it is ideology that supplies this conviction.” All of us are capable of small, independent evil acts, but progressivism, by allowing governments to submerge their moral qualms beneath a sea of ideology, unleashes that evil on all of society.

Joseph Pearce, who interviewed Solzhenitsyn in Russia in 1998 and wrote an excellent biography, teases out Solzhenitsyn’s anti-progressivism by contrasting him with Leo Tolstoy. Unlike Tolstoy, Pearce argues, “Solzhenitsyn laments the modern ‘belief in eternal, infinite progress which has practically become a religion,’ adding that such progressivism was ‘a mistake of the eighteenth century, of the Enlightenment era.’ Technological progress in the service of philosophical materialism was not true progress at all but, on the contrary, was a threat to civilization.” In his novels, Solzhenitsyn drives these points home, not by offering philosophical disquisitions, but by incarnating these ideas in the lives of flesh-and-blood characters.

James F. Pontuso, Patterson Professor of Political Science at Hampden-Sydney College, offers an example of this incarnation. In The First Circle, writes Pontuso, “Solzhenitsyn captivatingly captures the allure of ideology in the character of Lev Rubin. Despite all evidence to the contrary, including his own undeserved arrest and imprisonment, Rubin is devoted totally and insensibly to the Communist cause. . . . Rubin fails to acknowledge what he experiences; instead he accepts what he chooses to believe. For him every crime committed in the present is justified by the glorious future of peace, prosperity, and universal brotherhood that Marx’s principles purport to bring about.”

Such is the power of Marx’s progressive ideology that Rubin discounts his personal experience. If such self-deception in the name of ideology sounds unbelievable, just think of the American politicians and media people who, during the summer of 2020, watched businesses being looted and burned but could only see peaceful protests in the name of racial justice and economic equity. They are those who not only live and propagate the lie, but who come to believe it themselves.

Perhaps the best summation of what Solzhenitsyn can teach us about the dangers of progressivism is found in a reconsideration of The Gulag Archipelago by Solzhenitsyn scholar Daniel J. Mahoney. “Central to Solzhenitsyn’s moral and political vision,” he explains, “is the nonnegotiable distinction between truth and falsehood. Solzhenitsyn’s target was precisely the ideological Lie that presented evildoing as a historically necessary stage in the fated ‘progress’ of the human race. He always asserted that the ideological Lie was worse than violence and physical brutality, ultimately more destructive of the integrity of the human soul.”

I can think of no better analysis of the true legacy of 2020: Not the Coronavirus itself, but the way it was used to justify the illegal power grabs of bureaucratic, progressivist elites; not the riots themselves, but the lie they were justified by (that America is riddled with systemic racism); not the attacks on Donald Trump per se, but the fact that his enemies in the government, media, and big corporations were willing to tell any lie to take him down.

My Pillow Announces Delays in Shipments Following “Overwhelming Support” for Company and Its Founder Mike Lindell

Last week news broke that Dominion Voting Systems threatened My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell with a letter dated December 23, 2020, from defamation lawyers. In the letter, Dominion lawyer Thomas A. Clare called Lindell’s attacks on the voting company used in all six contested states “implausible,” adding they have “no basis in reality.”

100 Percent Fed Up later reported – Mike Lindell is not the only person who received a threatening letter from Dominion—at least one GOP poll challenger in Michigan (who never even mentioned Dominion in her affidavit) received a threatening letter from Dominion.

Mike Lindell, a devout Christian, is not worried about a letter from Dominion lawyers threatening defamation. Like President Trump, Lindell is a fighter and is vowing to fight back, telling Axios that he’s looking forward to Dominion’s lawsuit. “I want Dominion to put up their lawsuit because we have 100% evidence that China and other countries used their machines to steal the election.”

Also last week Bed, Bath and Beyond issued a statement saying the company will no longer sell “My Pillow” products after Mike Lindell challenged the election results.

You are no longer allowed to question election fraud in the United States of America.

This did not stop Mike Lindell from speaking out. Mike Lindell now has social media accounts on Gab and Telegram.

But Mike Lindell’s company is doing well.

If you ordered products from My Pillow this week you may have received this email.

They are looking at two-week delays in orders due to the volume of orders at the company.

Americans support Mike Lindell. Americans support good men who speak the truth.
