Dh and I are traveling to SC for a wedding. We will have a free day on Saturday before heading home on Sunday. Any sites we should see while we are there? We’ve never been in that neck of the woods.

You’re only 25 miles from Cowpens National Battlefield….

There's a nice little tavern restaurant on main street called The Hare & Hound my deceased mom wanted to call it the Hore & hound! After horehound candy, I would have to stop her! There is an Amish furniture store Foothills Amish Furniture. Several antiques stores too in Landrum.

We are planning a leisurely drive home through Tennessee and “Appalachia“. Stopping in the Lancaster area so I can get a long time coveted amish quilt and hit up an amish dry goods store. The quilt is my retirement gift to myself. We’re taking three days to do a 14 hour drive home. We haven’t had a vacation for 10 years since our 30th anniversary 9 day toodle through 5 states, 3000 mile no destination road trip.

Not far from Highland, SC. Supposed to be similar to Dahlonega, GA - tourist town. Hendersonville & Asheville are an hour and a half away.
