I don't see anything wrong with a bit of prepping for an on camera appearance but this went waaaaay overboard - super model photo shoots don't take as long.
Besides, I didn't see that much difference, between the before and after effect. Good thing nobody told him his tie was still a bit crooked, the speech would had to have been cancelled as the sun sank slowly into the west and night befell the city

When George W. Bush appeared on the "Late Show With David Letterman" just prior to the 2000 election, he was caught on tape committing a heinous breach of social etiquette. During a commercial break, producer Maria Pope was on stage discussing something with Letterman, and while she was standing there in front of Bush, he leaned forward, grabbed the back of her sweater, and used it to clean his glasses. You've got to see it to believe it.

Hum, we're losing about .39 for every minute he screws with his hair. (VP salary in 2004=$202,900/525,948.766 minutes/year). Someone check my math - post-lunch addleness has set in... SO, if he does this 3 times a day for two minutes a day (God only knows what he does in private) then we're losing $2.34/day or $121.68 per year while he dicks with his hair. YOUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK! So, Dick Cheney is actually saving us approximately $122/year by being bald. If you multply this by 4 years, compound the interest daily you can pay for little Juan to have a college education! Dick Cheney is contributing to the educational welfare of our children by not having hair! Viva le Dick!

Judgecal, that video does not show what transpired before Bush began cleaning his glasses. Perhaps he asked for a tissue, and the woman offered her shawl/sweater.
Re the Edwards video: very disturbing. I didn't see him thank the makeup lady or anyone there. I thought that kind of odd. :dunno:
