JOHNNY LEE ~ LOOKING FOR LOVE [LYRICS]

Back when "Urban Cowboy" came out, it was a huge thing in Houston, and I jumped right in. Boots, western shirts, dippin' snuff, all of it. It didn't last long, but it was a thing when I was young. I have come to embrace the meh with country music, but this song is still something special. You guys are hitting on all cylinders tonight. Thank you.

It’s cool to just scroll through these songs knowing I’m going to like most of them. They all bring back memories of one kind or another, mostly good ones. Most of you are close to my age, and I like feeling part of the group. Kind of feels like I’m with my friends tonight.

(No, I haven’t been drinking.)

I'm reliving so many good memories right now, good earworms rather than bad. Sorely needed, because I had to go to a cousin's funeral today. He was two years younger than me, died very suddenly (no I didn't ask *that* question). He was one of a group of four of us, all born within two-three years of each other. We all spent lots of time in summers together, and had wonderful times. The other three are all gone now. I'm the last man standing, and I almost died twice in the past year and a half or so. I was also the oldest of the four. It doesn't feel right that they all went before me. RIP Chad.

My condolences to you, Lad. :(
