have a fever of 101 right now. I don't feel too bad just tired. I took all the vitamins I have and am trying to drink alot. I am alone and hope I don't get worse or have covid. I seldom get a fever so I am concerned. If you could throw in a little prayer it might help. Thanks.

If you suspect you might have COVID or a bad flu and you are alone IMMEDIATELY do as suggested by Etdeb and Loretta in the thread regarding Nomifyle. Get an emergency basket together for your self and keep it next to you. Meds, water, broth, towels, juice, broth, inhaler, O2 meter...all the things you need close at hand if you get to weak to take care of yourself.

You have my prayers, Slipperyslope!

Do you have any of those EmergenC packets? I've found them to be very effective whenever I felt like I'm coming down with something.

Oh, my goodness....sending prayers....keep us updated on how you are doing. And please find someone that can check in on you.

I had Covid in May and it attacked my lungs and I got pneumonia. If you have covid you need to be tested so hopefully you can start the monoclonal antibodies right away if you’re eligible. You might be one of the lucky ones that only loses taste and smell and has a headache but from what I experienced you don’t even know you are in serious trouble until somewhere around day 6 and then it gets really bad around day 10. I know people believe in this protocol but I took it and I still got covid pneumonia. I feel it only works for the people who weren’t going to get pneumonia anyways.

I slept 10 hours last night. Got up early and had a cup of tea. Went back to bed until just now. Still tired but not real miserable. My oxy is 90-92. Temp is still 101. I just ate an apple to keep the Dr. away!

Do you have a hospital in the area? EMS? Make sure you can call EMS to get you TO a hospital if things go the wrong way.

OH, IF things START to go further wrong than you are now, MAKE THE CALL while you can be COHERENT.

There is also a seriously bad cold going around right now. Peekaboo fever that comes and goes. Fatigue. Congestion from hell. Going through my fam (several have had it and now recovered). The only thing I've had is fatigue but I might also be low on iron as that happens occasionally.

Hubby, in what is opposite of normal, has it the worst but then again Mr. Energizer Buns doesn't know what the word rest means. He he had a cord I'd unplug him for a while but he is Type A and nearly OCD about paperwork so not happening. Gah. Men. If they have a hangnail they are dying. If they are really hurt or ill they are six-foot-seven and bullet proof.

I think we may have influenza going through. Hubby's temp is normally 96.8. This morning it was 99.8. Chills, intense body and bone aches, fatigue and now a sore throat. DS has a nasty cough, the little girls seem to have a bad cold. I don't feel ill, but my legs won't hold me... dunno if my spine issue has flared or if a bug is causing it.

Everyone here has had COVID except me, so I'm pretty sure it's NOT COVID. But apparently COVID is going through the girl's dance class right now...

I hate to be a pessimist here, but Delta presents as a bad cold. I know personally 4 people who told me they had a cold who I insisted, FOR THEIR OWN GOOD, get tested who tested positive. By 'for their own good' it meant 3 of them got the monoclonal antibodies in time for it to make a difference. It also lets you know to start the protocol ASAP and not wait until it's too late to really help. One other thing, it may take the 2nd or 3rd day after exposure for it to show up on the home test as a positive so if you get negative on one day but are getting sicker, re-test yourself. Either way - feel better and take good care of yourselves!

Thanks! I don't have cold symptoms. I feel a little better today. Not feeling too bad but mostly tired.

I am about 20 miles from a hospital but some of the folks working there were so mean to DH. He was in and out alot for 12 years.

My exposure to people is so limited but it only takes once.
SlipperySlope, I'm throwing that little prayer in for you...praying that you are on the mend!

Glad you're feeling a bit better. I really didn't have a cold either. It was sinus weirdness, with fuzzy head, dizziness, fatigue and loss of appetite. Fever for several days also.

I just woke up from an early morning nap and my fever has broke for the first time in 3 days! Thanks for your kind wishes folks. My oxy went up to 97 also. Sounds good. Hopefully it was just a weird virus. This is only the third time in my life that I had a fever.

So good to read this!

I just checked all my vitals before settling in for the night. My fever is back to 101. At least oxy is good. I didn't expect fever to go back up.

I hope we hear from Shooter soon!

My husband's temp did that also. One day good, the next day back up a bit.

I woke up with normal vitals and feeling like myself just a few minutes ago. If covid wasn't around I would have never been concerned. I cannot wait until this virus dies out. It is over hyped on the media but it is serious. I personally know 6 people that have died from it and only 1 of them was in the danger group. He was 68 and recovering from cancer surgery.

Thank you so much for caring. I really have no one who cares very much. I can go up to a month with no one calling me. This is a great group here. (Except for a handful of us..lol)

You may have influenza. I'm pretty sure that's what hubby is dealing with right now. Fever, really bad body aches, headache from hell. DS also has chest congestion. They both have had COVID, and say this is different.

Either way, don't be surprised if fever comes back in late afternoon for a couple days. That's pretty common.
