hydraulic trouble

bucket goes up very slow on my bobcat.... was thinking it was the spool valve
have heard it could be the seals in either one or both lift cylinders any idea how to check them without completely taking them apart. thanks mud oh yeah rhis machine is 13 yrs old has a little over 500 hours on it

I've seen where a bit of moisture in the hydraulics can freeze and give a similar problem. Got a place where you can bring it in and let it warm up overnight? Definately would try that first.

i think there is moisture in the system but this was a problem before it got cold too it is worse now that its frozen might should just drain it all out put in new with a new filter to start???? thanks tech

It does sound like water in the system, probably needs a filter change for sure, then check the condition of the oil. If it isn't milky you should be good to go. The filter will slow the flow as it catches some ices crystals. That much oil would be expensive.
