How Racist! Pelosi Opens Liquor Store In Congress But You Must Show an ID to Get Served!

Members of the House of Representatives can now order alcoholic beverages for delivery directly to their offices from 8 am to 4 pm.

As House Speaker Nancy Pelosi lamented the demise of Democrat legislation to protect abortions and feigned outrage over America’s “unconscionable” baby formula crisis, her administrative office ramped up benefits for lawmakers.

House members received notification from the House Chief Administrative Officer announcing two new perks offered this week compliments of the chamber’s Democrat leadership: fully paid gym memberships and “House Drinks storefront” a brand new liquor and drinks outlet in the Rayburn House Office Building.

And lawmakers must show an ID to get served — unlike voting in Democrat states.

How racist!

“Pelosi is opening a liquor store in the House where Members can buy alcohol with their taxpayer-funded MRAs,” Rep. Austin Scott, R.-GA., announced in a tweet Friday.

“Wine and beer was often available at catered receptions on Capitol Hill,” Fox News reporter Chad Pergram noted. “But now booze can go directly to a Member’s office.”

1) The filibuster is fine. But liquor is quicker.

Fox has learned that lawmakers and aides can now order beer, wine and hard liquor directly to their offices.

This is through the new caterer on the House side of Capitol Hill, Sodexo.

Republicans slammed Pelosi for doling out additional perks for lawmakers as Americans struggle to make ends meet amid skyrocketing inflation, empty store shelves, record-high gas prices and a baby formula crisis.

“Joe Biden buys crack pipes, and Nancy Pelosi is opening liquor stores in Congress. Just what Americans want,” tweeted Rep. Drew Ferguson, R- Ga.

“Washington Dems couldn’t be more out of touch,” Ferguson added. “Americans can’t afford to buy groceries or put gas in their cars, and Nancy Pelosi decides now is a good time to open a congressional liquor store on Capitol Hill.”

And yes, your tax dollars can be used for purchases.

Democrat leadership is laughing at us while they’re intentionally burning down the country.

I am pretty sure that the founders, who drank quite a bit, did not see and would not approve of this use of taxpayer funds....ya know along with millions of other things.

Just one more thing.

What we allow will continue.

Something supplied from her own vineyards in California maybe at an inflated price?

Something other than the obvious smells about this new perk..

"Sodexo (formerly Sodexho Alliance) is a French food services and facilities management company headquartered in the Paris suburb of Issy-les-Moulineaux."

"It has 428,237 employees as of 2019 and a presence in 80 countries."

"For fiscal year 2020 (ending August 2019) revenues reached €22.0 billion,] with a market capitalization of €15.8 billion. Its revenues by region are 47% from North America, 38% from Europe, and 15% from other areas."

"In 2002, Sodexho was listed on the New York Stock Exchange, but the company withdrew its listing in 2007. As of 2017, the company is listed on Euronext Paris under the symbol SW and trades stocks over-the-counter under the symbols SDXOF and SDXAY."

Someone with sharper financial research skills should look to see if she and her old man own stock in this company, and how much. Compared to most of their clients (according to the Wikipedia article), this bar service operation seems small potatoes, and not really something this company would ordinarily be interested in.

Was there a bid requested on this, or is this another no bid contract?

The whole booze delivery service to representatives' offices is a terrible idea, but IMO it's made way worse by not using a local vendor, or at least one based in the UNITED STATES.

So when does Meth-amphetamine become available?

I mean if you're going to do it - do it up right!

Truth is, those of us on the outside probably won't notice a difference...

Pride comes before the fall.....Pride month ended.
They can get any drugs they want delivered to their door, now booze. I suspect they already have a liquor cabinet in every office and the staff had to keep it stocked. The staff are the real winners.

This is sickening, and is enough in your face bs that it should have grave consequences for all involved in the decision. I'll certainly spread the word, as few will be aware.

Bunch of alcoholics?

Buy your own booze with your own money!

What's next?

We pay for their Crack cocaine and it gets delivered to their offices??!!

I remember a few years ago some news person got a hold of liquor bills for government flights..it was shocking how much they drank and and how much we paid for their partying! Disgusted with these people.

Well, actually, this isn't a new thing. Though the delivery to your desk is, but seeing they have been doing that with drugs for years, I'm surprised that they just started this. Back in the 80s there was a beer machine in the cafeteria of the government building I worked at. On the top floor there was a full blown bar. And no, I never got a beer out of that machine or went to the top floor. But many of my co-workers would drink a couple during our lunch break.

Guess they'll have a uptick in sexual harassment claims paid by the Congressional Office of Compliance which handles the payoff of the victims. Nothing like a drunk groping representative wasting 17 million paid in claims over the past 20 years. Bet that figure skyrockets.
