Unless something changes overnight, my symptoms are almost completely gone. The day started off slow, but by lunch I stayed outside rest of day walking around. Nightime and feel great and feel like staying up all night. 180 degrees turnaround from yesterday. I’m at 7 days from first symptoms. This has been a piece of cake compared to the flu I had in 1999.

Don't know if I have it or had it, but had a fever of over 100 for 3 days, started on Wednesday, felt a bit better Thursday but still ran fever, Friday the same, started feeling better about noon, no fever since, oxygen only dips to low 90's do to sleep apnea, but all through this it was upper 90's, my hair hurt a little which is kind of odd as I am mostly bald. Course can't find any at home test, and drive through testing the earliest won't be until Wednesday, not sure if it would show that I had it or what. But all I did was run a fever, no other symptoms.

Don't be afraid to use the higher doses of the ivermectin (per FLCCC protocol) if you think it's not responding as completely as you'd like. I haven't seen Omicron yet AFAIK, but Delta tended to make people sicker and seemed to be a bit less responsive to ivermectin in some.

How does one determine which variant they have? Hospital said we have COVID but didn’t identify strain.

You don't, unless they are running additional tests to determine variant in your area, but even then, I doubt they are telling individuals what they have. To a great extent, I think you can safely surmise you guys caught Delta, as Omicron just isn't causing the severe symptoms.

I hope you are starting to feel better!

Thanks, summer. And yes, today was our first day of noticeable improvement.

After spending most of the day with my daughter, son-in-law, and grandson for Christmas. Just received a phone call from my daughter, my SIL woke up with a horrendous cough, he went to the local doc in a box and tested positive.

My daughter who works for the public health command was told since she is vaxed with no symptoms to show up for work.

They have not had their boosters yet they were scheduled for next month.

I’d say yes, you have it.
There’s still regular flu bugs out there, but from what I’m hearing and seeing , myself included, there’s a lot of this Covid spreading around even yes, among the vaxxed!
My Niece, nephew, and his wife are all vaxxed up and they all had Covid in October/November.

I forgot to say that my SIL, daughter and grandson all had COVID in early Jan 2021 too. So they are ending the year like they started it....

Thanks, Babs. Wife feels much better, while my brief reprieve only lasted a few hours.

Prayers going up for you, Sicario! I hope you start to feel better. Do you have any of those EmergenC powders. I found that I get a real boost after drinking one of those. The "Super Orange" is my favorite.

My husband would go back and forth too. His fevers would spike a bit later in the day and his exhaustion was worse than mine. Continuing to pray for you, and all of those here that are dealing with this.

Extended family member and their teenage daughter were both positive and quarantined for 10 days, ending this weekend. I'm told they felt a little sick one day and had some fatigue. Nothing major to note. Adult was single shot J&J, daughter had no injections.

(ETA: Adult mentioned losing sense of smell briefly)

My daughter and family had covid in Aug. My daughter and her husband had loss of taste and smell which came back pretty fast for daughter.

Their 2 kids got sick on the 16th, fevers, little bit of diarrhea, runny noses and wet coughs and are better. My daughter who is pregnant started to get a sore throat and then stuffy nose and then she had loss of taste and smell, so she is convinced she has covid again and bought a test and is negative. She said this morning she is not as stuffy but getting a slight cough. I read there is no loss of taste and smell with the new variant.

Do people lose taste and smell with flu? I am wondering if there is some kind of like damage or something from the covid and the loss of taste and smell where now she will be more likely to lose taste and smell with colds. Anybody having loss of taste and smell with the new variant which nobody knows that they have because it is only cold symptoms?

Every time I get a head cold I lose taste and smell. I don’t know what all the hoopla is about.

Thank you. She never did before, so I think that is what is confusing her. She did take the youngest to the walk-in clinic and they never asked about covid, never tested for covid. The word covid was not even mentioned, so she must have looked like a child with a regular cold or flu.

I didn't know what the fuss was all about either until it happened to me.

With a regular cold I'll lose my sense of smell when I get all congested-- it seems logical!

But when I had covid, I was not congested at all, (nothing at all like a head cold). It came on suddenly after I was over the worst of the fever/illness of covid and when I was starting to feel better.

It just didn't make sense as to why it happened. And I regained my sense of smell a few days later in the same manner-- suddenly!

Thank you. I’ll try to find some when I get out of the hospital.

Oh, I must have missed something. I didn't know you were in the hospital, Sicario. I'll be praying that you make good headway against the virus and regain your health real soon. Prayers for your wife also. I hope she's continuing to recover well.

Adult cousin in Alabama just tested positive, double vaxxed and boosted.

Rarely masks.

Works as a hostess at an upscale restaurant.

She spent the holiday with her family, one fighting cancer and a lot of elders.

I pray she is able to be healed quickly.

Praying for your cousin, Siskiyoumom, and all the people she was in contact with. And (((hugs))) to you.
