Elec Sys How hard is it to re-wire a Jeep?

So, I've got a Jeep, and rodents may have been at work on the wiring.

Question is, how hard is it to completely re-wire the danged thing? I'm talking ignition, panel, battery, etc.?

Would it require pulling the motor to get to the firewall?


If I were to do this, is there any other preventative maintenance or possible upgrade to undertake at the same time?

I really like that Jeep...

Well if was made before the 70's then there should not be to much wiring involved. Other than that it would have to be diagnosed for damage.

What year and model would help, i know they were looking for volunteers when I was in Nam but I was busy reprimering the Jeep. Come to find out the wanted to smoke out a marijuana field, and all I got was primer.
