Misc How does this work?

I love to write, and I have 5 novels in series of about 7 completed. Do you post chapters? Pieces? Put it on here, or send in private message? Just curious. Any info would be appreciated.

Different people do it different ways. Some will post a chapter per post and other members can break up the flow with replies about the chapter written.

Other make one thread for just the story and another thread for reviews of the story so they don't break up the flow. Although there are always the people who think they're special and write replies anyway in that thread.

I prefer the two different threads, one for the story and one for people to review. Its much nicer to be able to read the story chapter after chapter instead of ten replies asking for more ( or moar as some think is cute) and thanking you for posting the story and chapter.

But, you can do it anyway you want.

Just make sure to put an alert at the top if its mature content. Some folks get offended easy and by stuff others don't.

If you post here, people don't have to be logged in to read

I personally enjoy a chapter per post, and being able to answer comments in the same thread.

If you like some few post their story and a second thread for comments. Posting as you offer up your chapters kind of lets folk book mark how far they are in reading and the interaction can be pretty amazing in some stories.

If you enjoy you might read PAC's story as that is how I really like to see stories put up. (Faster being better than slower, and don't be surprised if you get a lot of MOAR's from dedicated readers.

Looking forward to seeing what you offer up. (While my stories arn't anything special I have a couple in the members section if you for some reason want to look at those.)

I'm hoping to maybe write a few more, God and time willing. I have an idea I'm kicking around and think I'll see what I can throw together myself.

Thanks all. I might post something soon. I've started work on the 6th one, but life gets in the way of writing more often than not. I think I'm on Chapter 3 in it. My first test reader doesn't even want any chapters to read until I have at least 4 done. She says she reads them quicker than I can write and she then has to wait and wonder what's going to happen. Can't say I blame her. Lol.

Some publishers don't like stories posted in a public forum. That's why the member only forum is there. If there is any chance for future publication you might post there.
