I said this last spring. I thought then that Al-Quaeda would threaten us right before the election, saying that they had all components in place to perpetrate another huge attack on America if Bush is re elected.

Then came the UBL video this past weekend, where he said "Americans' security is in their own hands". (The election?)

I've just been reading some of the threads on democratic underground and some of the people are talking about "taking to the streets" if Bush is re elected.


Could you imagine if Al-Quaeda is able to pull off another 9/11 type attack (or larger) and, at the same time, there's rioting in the streets by angry Democrats?


Just an unsettling thought I just had.

How? Our borders are open. Our security is poor. If Bush wins I predict very soon after the election we will see terrorism on our shores.

With all their posters and banners, yelling obscenities, shouldn't be a problem for the jack-booted, riot-gear armored, seething law "enforcement" personnel on alert and waiting in the wings, to easily sequester them to the designated, caged "protestors' area" conveniently located at least three miles from anything, so they could say whatever they wanted.

Imagine if the Republicans rioted - armed to the teeth, of course. Take care of that problem with most eastern and midwestern larger cities, too that was mentioned on another thread at the same time.

That's actually one of the earlier Range Rover models, he also had a similar appearing Mercedes. Yes, there was a recent article that Ferrari is building the Pope a new Pope Mobile (I think it's the one attached).

I really hope I'm wrong and AQ has been defanged and OBL is full of hot air......

But if they pull off a big attack we'll see Bush hasn't made us as secure as obviously most Americans who voted thought he had. Wouldn't that be a wake up call to a new reality?

Quentin, there is no question that there are huge gaps in security in the USA. I don't know why it is taking so long to get all the parties to understand that the borders and immigration should be at or near the top of the list.
