MN Democrats Vote For Elementary School Pornography

April 29, 2019

"On Tuesday, April 23, 2019, Minnesota House Democrats voted in favor of including pornography and sexual perversions as part of the Minnesota House Education Omnibus Bill, HF2400.

The Minnesota Child Protection League (CPL) tried to warn parents and stakeholders to call their legislators to urge them to remove Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE) from the 258-page House Education Omnibus bill HF2400 before it was debated on last Tuesday. Of course, the bill was debated two days after Easter Sunday, when parents were distracted and just getting the kiddos back to school after the holiday.

Planned Parenthood will provide the CSE curriculum for Minnesota public schools and has lobbied hard for this legislation. The Guttmacher Institute, which was started in 1968 as a part of Planned Parenthood, is expected to be developing the state model policy, according to StopCSE.org, a website to educate parents on the harmful effects of CSE.

At the center of the CSE curriculum debate is a book called, “It’s Perfectly Normal” which is endorsed by Planned Parenthood and boasts of “more than one million copies in print”. The book contains explicit drawings of the male and female anatomy and covers such topics as vaginal, oral and anal sex, homosexuality and abortion which will be taught to elementary students as part of CSE. “It’s Perfectly Normal” was written in 1995 by Robie Harris, who was a member of Planned Parenthood’s National Board of Advocates. A new edition of the book states it is “updated for the 21st century” on the cover.

During last week’s debate on HF2400, Minnesota Rep. Peggy Bennett (R-MN 27A) put forth an amendment to remove CSE from the bill. Every House Republican (except for three missing members) voted to remove CSE from the bill with two Democrats joining the Republicans (Rep. Gene Pelowski-D, MN-28A and Rep. Dave Lislegard-D, MN-6B). The vote was 58 to 73. All 73 [elected] people who think that “It’s Perfectly Normal” should be in included as part of the CSE in Minnesota’s public elementary schools are Democrats.

Rep. Eric Lucero (R-MN 30B), who was visibly upset when he read parts of “It’s Perfectly Normal” to the members of the House, asked Rep. Bennett during the debate if Planned Parenthood references this book as part of their Comprehensive Sex Education. Bennett replied, “They endorse it on their web page as their model curriculum for what they’d like to see for Comprehensive Sex Education for elementary and secondary.”

Lucero emphatically said on the House floor, “This is not the goal that I have, to expose 4th graders to masturbation and that it is perfectly normal. No way.”

Jim Sedlak of Celebrate Life Magazine stated in a recent article, “The bottom line is that Planned Parenthood is in the business of selling sex. In order to do that, it must get our children involved with a sexual lifestyle. It does that through pushing pornography. If you want to keep pornography from our children, shut down Planned Parenthood.”

A Senate conference committee will determine the final outcome of the Minnesota House Education Omnibus bill, however no conference committee has been appointed yet. CPL said in a Facebook post that the CSE language is not included in the Senate Education Omnibus bill.

In the meantime, parents, get involved. Let your legislators know how you feel about CSE being taught to young children in elementary school. Minnesota House Democrats have made it very clear that they want push this curriculum to children at a very young age to get them hooked on pornography and other sexual deviant behavior in order to keep Planned Parenthood in business. After all, in 2016, Planned Parenthood spent over $38 million to elect democrats.

It’s a vicious cycle. Your kids are being used to keep Democrats in power and Planned Parenthood in business for years to come and neither Democrats nor Planned Parenthood care what will happen to your children as a result of this damaging curriculum."

Agreed.

BTW, I think CA, MA, and possibly IL and CT have already been doing something along these lines.

Homeschooling is the only way. Anybody can do it with the curriculum that are available. I am a disabled grandmother and have been homeschooling my granddaughter for 5 years now. She is just completing the 4th grade and I can honestly say she has more knowledge that most CA high school graduates.

I know it is hard to homeschool for single parents and a lot of parents who rely on 2 incomes. Try to look up homeschool networks in your area on the internet. IMHO it is to the point where sending one's children to public schools, aka State Indoctrination Centers, borders on child abuse/endangerment. God help our children.

I am sooooooo glad all my kids are out of school and my granddaughters go to school in the country with the BEST RATED EDUCATION SYSTEM IN THE WORLD......Finland.

For example: we just learned that our granddaughters (in 2nd & 3rd grades) just completed their shop and sewing classes successfully. They are REQUIRED to learn how to safely use a real sewing machine. They have to pick a pattern, cut it out and sew it. In the woodshop they had to safely use all the various shop tools...yes some were power tools.....plus old school hand tools and built a kind of musical thing.

All kids there are required to take these kinds of classes and you can actually fail and have to retake the class later. The kids are actually expected to be certified in these two subjects.

PS. It's well past time for parents to march in and take back their local schools!! ....and not nicely if that becomes necessary. IT'S PARENTS that should have the main say on what their kids need to be taught.

Just wait til the libtards control all 3 branches. I have a bad feeling we ain't seen nothin yet.

Unless Heritage Americans start forcing mass expulsions, end the diversity-breeding-favoring welfare system and affirmative action, etc., that is just a matter of time.

White Students are Now the Minority in U.S. Public Schools

Updated May 11, 2017 | by Grace Chen

"Increasing birth rates among immigrant families from Asia and Central and South America, combined with lower birth rates among white families, means that for the first time in history, public school students in the United States are majority-minority. This shift in demographics poses difficulties for schools as they work to accommodate children of varying language abilities and socio-economic backgrounds.

It has been an ongoing trend for nearly two decades – while the total number of students in American public schools has risen, the percentage of those students who are white has steadily fallen. According to the Pew Research Center, in 1997, over 63 percent of the 46.1 million U.S. public school students were white. Today, white students comprise just 49.7 percent of the 50 million students enrolled.

These changes in the racial make-up of the nation’s public schools are reflective of where the overall population is headed. According to recent estimates by the U.S. Census Bureau, by 2060, the white population in this country is projected to fall by more than 20 million people, while the Hispanic population is set to double. Black and Asian populations are expected to increase as well, although at rates far slower than Hispanics. By 2043, the nation as a whole is projected to become majority-minority.

Public School Diversity

While the white student population has declined by 15 percent since 1997, according to Pew, both Hispanic and Asian populations have rapidly increased. In that same time frame, the number of Hispanic students has grown by 50 percent to 12.9 million students. The number of Asian students has also seen significant growth, jumping 46 percent to 2.9 million students. The African-American student population, which this fall will number 7.7 million, has remained relatively steady over the last twenty years.

Much has been made recently of the number of migrant children entering the country and enrolling in public school, but it is actually U.S.-born children of immigrants that account for the explosive growth of the minority student population. The Pew Research Center notes that between 1997 and 2013, the number of U.S.-born Asians increased by 50 percent, while the number of Asian immigrants during that time grew by just 9 percent. Among U.S.-born Hispanics, the number of children between the ages of 5 and 17 jumped by a whopping 98 percent between 1997 and 2013, while immigrant children of the same age actually declined by more than one quarter over the same time period.

Over half of students in pre-K through the eighth grade are from a minority group, while 48 percent of high school-aged students are minorities. However, the impact of increased minority enrollment is most salient at the elementary school level. Hispanic children alone account for a large portion of minority students, comprising at least 20 percent of kindergarten classes in 17 states, up from just eight states a little more than a decade ago. This growth is seen in states where large Hispanic populations reside, such as California and Florida. But Hispanics now account for more than 20 percent of kindergarteners in states like Idaho and Massachusetts, which have relatively low overall Hispanic populations. What’s more, in some states, including Oregon and Kansas, Hispanic children account for more than one-quarter of all kindergarten students. The ethnic and cultural shift of American public schools is occurring in every corner of the nation, in both rural and urban districts large and small.

Increased Need for English Language Learner Classes

The rapidly increasing number of children whose native language is not English necessitates the development of more robust English language learner courses, particularly at the elementary school level. According to the Federal Interagency Forum on Child and Family Statistics, nearly one-quarter of all children in the United States have a foreign born parent. As a result, more than one-fourth of American children are now bilingual. However, because many children who are immigrants or whose parents are immigrants speak a language other than English at home, a full 70 percent will require some level of English language instruction in school. Those programs require a lot of funding for qualified teachers, extra courses after school and during summer breaks, and for teaching materials.

Interestingly, while many Americans might assume that the greatest need for English-language learner courses is among Spanish-speaking populations, it is actually Asian students who will need the most instruction. Although Hispanic children far outnumber Asian children in American public schools, a greater number of Hispanic children are U.S.-born and have at least some English-speaking abilities. By contrast, the majority of growth among the U.S. Asian population is due to immigration, so children from the East arrive in U.S. public schools with little or no English language skills. Some school districts, particularly those in rural areas, have encountered difficulty finding qualified personnel who speak Asian languages.

Factors Negatively Impacting Minority Student Achievement

According to a report by The Atlantic, public schools will see 33 percent more Hispanic students, 44 percent more multi-racial students, and 2 percent more African-American students by the 2022-2023 school year. While this increased diversity presents many opportunities for positive growth, including increased social awareness and cultural understanding, it also presents some problems for public schools and children of color. Minority children, particularly those in the African-American and Hispanic communities, face a disproportionate lack of good schools and safe communities. More frequent incidents of violence, increased poverty, lack of access to healthcare, and substandard housing are just a few of the obstacles children of color typically encounter.

StudentTeacherRace1.png

All these factors negatively impact the ability of minority children to learn and thus require public schools to change their approach in order to help children of color gain ground. According to the Annie E. Casey Foundation, among the most popular solutions to boosting minority student achievement are:
Promote early education for all students. Just 56 percent of American Indian children aged 3-5 are currently in preschool, while an even smaller percentage of Hispanic children in the same age group attend school.
Expand literacy programs in elementary schools. Only 17 percent of African-American fourth graders and 19 percent of Hispanic fourth graders score at a proficient level in reading.

Devise programs to keep minority children in school and on track to graduate.

Nationally, just 78 percent of students graduate from high school on time. But the situation is far worse for minorities: Just 66 percent of African-American students and 69 percent of American Indian students graduate with their class.

Schools must account for social factors that are out of their control. Minority students are less likely to live in a household with two parents, are more likely to have parents that did not complete high school, and are more likely to live in poverty-stricken neighborhoods in which at least 20 percent of the community is at or below the federal poverty line. Minority children are also more likely to attend schools with fewer resources, go to classes that have less rigorous curricula, and have less experienced teachers.

Teacher Diversity Remains Woefully Stagnant

Although the nation’s schoolchildren are becoming more diverse, the nation’s teaching corps is not. Of the 3.3 million teachers in the U.S. public school system in 2011, 84 percent were white. This represents little change since 1986 when 91 percent of teachers were white. In fact, over the last three years, the gap between student diversity and teacher diversity has grown by three percent. There is not a single state in the nation with a teacher population that is as diverse as it’s students, and in some states the gap is enormous. For instance, in California, only 29 percent of teachers are nonwhite, while nearly three-quarters of students belong to a minority group. Although the level of interest and care a teacher displays for a student is a more important factor in student success than the teacher’s race, it certainly wouldn’t hurt to have more Hispanic, American Indian, and African-American teachers standing in the front of America’s classrooms.

Embracing Change

Some schools and families have struggled mightily in accommodating the vast and quick changes that have been seen over the last few years. Racial tensions at one Chicago-area school led to a lunchroom brawl that had to be broken up by local police. Some white parents, upon seeing the diversity in their child’s southeastern Pennsylvania classroom, elected to remove their children and send them to private school in Delaware instead. These are but two examples of the effects that poverty, inequity, and prejudice have on children that should be learning their ABCs rather than dealing with ignorance and, at times, violence at school.

As the nation’s public schools become more and more diverse, teachers and other school personnel will be looked upon to be the flag-bearers of change. From advocating for improved early childhood education, to increasing the rigor and relevance of curriculum, to fostering understanding of cultural and social mores amongst disparate groups of students, schools will be at the forefront of addressing the heavy-duty issues that the greater population faces as we continue to change in terms of how we look, the languages we speak, and the traditions we celebrate."

Homeschool or die vol. 7

"If any other activity was this directly connected to increasing the teen mortality rate, it would be illegal:

Every two hours, a teenager in America takes his or her own life. Suicide is the third leading cause of death among youth, and the rate of teen suicide has roughly tripled since 1960.... Scientists have identified many contributing factors: Discrimination, the number of sexual partners, substance abuse, being dumped by a romantic partner, parental divorce, child physical and sexual abuse, bullying and even excessive video-gaming play a role. Scholars at the University of Chicago's National Opinion Research Center have offered a novel contributing factor to teen suicide: high school.

In a careful and persuasive paper released last fall called "Back to School Blues: Seasonality of Youth Suicide and the Academic Calendar," Benjamin Hansen and Matthew Lang point out that suicides for 14- to 18-year-olds drop abruptly during June, July and August.

"The decrease in suicides for 14- to 18-year-olds during the summer months is stark, while the 19- to 25-year-olds see a slight rise in suicide rates during the summer," the authors point out. "The fact that 15- to 18-year-old suicide rates decrease in the summer, but the 19-year-old suicide does not, suggests that the high-school calendar is playing a prominent role in youth suicide," they conclude.

Given that the summer vacation reduces the teen suicide rate from 6.22 per 100,000 to 4.71, this means that banning public school would save 1,092 lives per year. This is far more lives than can be saved by most of the usual actions advocated by the save-the-children crowd. Since we are so often told that various laws are justified if just one child's life is saved, and we also know that homeschooling is an academically superior method of education, how can anyone possibly argue in good conscience that eliminating the public schools is not an imminent moral imperative?

Banning public school will save more children's lives on an annual basis than every vaccination program put together, in fact, it would save more children's lives than seatbelt laws and child safety seats. Banning public school, or at least barring public school attendance after sixth grade, would reduce the third leading cause of youth death by 25 percent. And let's face it, it's not as if they're even learning how to read or do math there anyhow.?"

This is really scary. The teachers will have to teach at the level all the other races, Dumbing down the white students.

The untold truth of Sodom and Gomorrah
Sodom and Gomorrah
John Martin/Wikimedia Commons
Morris M.

Las Vegas may like to style itself as "sin city," but there are only two cities in world history that were so sinful God had to actually explode them with fire. Sodom and Gomorrah and their fiery fate crop up in the Book of Genesis in the Old Testament, in the Torah, and in the Quran. However, you probably know them best from Sodom's historical association with homosexuality and hardline religious warnings circa 2013 that America would suffer the exact same fate the moment the Supreme Court allowed gay marriage, a prophecy that's up there with "Betamax is the future of home entertainment" in the accuracy stakes.

But even without the allure of glorious sodomy, Sodom and Gomorrah have cast a long shadow over the Western imagination. Yet how much does the average dude or dudette on the street actually know about these two long-dead cities and their unlucky inhabitants? Like, did they even exist, or are they just beautiful myths? The truth is even more complicated than you probably think.

There were three whole other cities we forgot about
Lot fleeing Sodom
Gillis Mostaert/Wikimedia Commons

Sodom and Gomorrah are like Batman and Robin, or Superman and "disappointing Zack Snyder movies" — you're so used to hearing them together that one without the other sounds weird. Yet this cozy linguistic partnership is as misleading as referring to The Beatles as just "John and Paul." If Sodom and Gomorrah were the main songwriters, their band was something called the Cities of the Plain, a collection of five great cities that sat along the Jordan River in Biblical times. And you better believe this ancient city supergroup had their own George and Ringo (and some other guy).

The three forgotten cities aren't just background details. Although they appear in the story of Lot far less than Sodom or Gomorrah, they have their own names and everything. Deuteronomy 29:22-23 identifies two of the other cities as Admah and Zeboim, while Genesis 19:23 identifies the final city as Zoar, which is presumably the fifth Beatle in our tortured analogy.

"Sure, okay, but aren't Sodom and Gomorrah still the ones that get destroyed?" you may be wondering. Well, that's sort of the issue. The Bible repeatedly makes it clear that Admah and Zeboim went up in the conflagration, thanks to being equally sinful. Zoar's role is even more important. It's the surviving town that Lot flees to as God implements his whole "Kill everyone and let me sort them out" plan. Just like Ringo, these cities deserve some cultural recognition.
