Ohio Attorney Files Motion to Lift Stay in Ohio Case of King Lincoln Bronzeville v Blackwell

At a press conference this morning in Columbus, Ohio, Cliff Arnebeck, lead attorney for the plaintiffs in the case of King Lincoln Bronzeville v. Blackwell, announced that he is filing a motion to "lift the stay in the case [and] proceed with targeted discovery in order to help protect the integrity of the 2008 election."

Arnebeck will also "be providing copies of document hold notices to the U.S .Chamber Institute for Legal Reform and the U.S. Justice Department for Karl Rove emails from the White House."

This case has the potential to put some of the most powerful people in the country in jail, according to Arnebeck, as he was joined by a well-respected, life-long Republican computer security expert who charged that the red flags seen during Ohio's 2004 Presidential Election would have been cause for "a fraud investigation in a bank, but it doesn't when it comes to our vote."

"This entire system is being programmed in secret by programmers who have no oversight by anybody," the expert charged, as Arnebeck detailed allegations of complicity by a number of powerful GOP operatives and companies who had unique access both to the election results as reported in 2004, as well as to U.S. House and Senate computer networks even today.

They must be scared to death of Karl Rove. They are throwing everything at the wall hoping something will stick. Why do they want him out of the way so badly?:hmm:

Political tin foil. Reminds me of the alternative media hoopla a few years ago when a writer named Tom Flocco had his 15 minutes of fame. He was indicating that Bush, Cheney, Rove, Harriet Miers, and Rice were going to be "frog marched" out of the White House, that 28 indictments were filed, blah blah blah, ad nauseum.

One indictment (Scooter Libby), and the rest was pure BS.

It helps to have a doubtful mind about things.

One salient point raised by this article - the computer code that is used to run the electronic voting machines is indeed a black hole -- there is NO way to properly audit these systems nor validate that they have not been compromised and the vote counts have not been rigged.

FACT.

Then require very stringent voting verification.

But considering that the Dems never want stringent voter verification (they have their own forms of voter fraud) - it's all about just political infighting.

What are you???

paid for every wacko post trying to re-hash the past.

Hell I'm tired of this election cycle already and some are still fuming about the last.

Get over Karl Rove already, he is so yesterday...

I can't decide if this is funny or just plain sad...

mbo,

You missed the point -- requiring "stringent voting verification" does NOTHING to assure that the electronic voting system has NOT BEEN compromised, or otherwise rigged to provide false, unverifiable vote counts.

According to your above comments, you seem to indicate that false vote counting is strictly a partisan issue -- news flash, einstein -- rigged voting is costly to ALL American citizen voters, and this country -- WHATEVER the method employed.

Rigging the vote via compromised electronic voting machines is MUCH simpler to implement vs. the "old-fashioned way" of mustering up a group of folks to alter the vote counts, no matter the method employed -- reduces the likelihood of legal fishing expeditions by ambitious legal-beagles via a wide-cast net of subpoenas, too, since there are fewer folks that are actually "in-the-know" as to how and where the electronic vote counts were altered/counted.

Tell us, mbo -- do you know how to audit the current fielded electronic voting systems to assure an accurate, unaltered vote count?
