Ener Generator

Avoid. It's a big infomercial pushing an overpriced [vastly overpriced] product. It boasts of an up to 1500 watt output. Pay attention to the 'up to'. Because the inverter is rated at 1500 watts doesn't mean that it can deliver 1500 watts for very long at all. The key is in the solar panel. The solar panel is only a 100 watt panel and built in battery capacity. Power in equals power out. With a 100 watt panel you would need 15 hours of charge time in full sunlight to get that 1500 watts for a single hour of run time...and most 100 watt panels don't even give you a full 100 watts. And other than them admitting it's a 100 watt panel they give you no other specs that I can see as far as the battery capacity of the built in battery.

Fast and Flexible Charging: It sounds incredible, but my Patriot Power Generator 1500 is fully charged and ready to go in as few as 3.5 hours. That’s another reason we chose a lithium-iron-phosphate battery. It can be “fast charged” using the AC cord or included solar panels.

The only way your going to charge this in 3.5 hours is if you plug it into a commercial 110 volt outlet which means your regular power has to be up and running which kind of defeats the purpose. I have a solar power setup which is only 500 watts of panels into 4 deep cycle batteries and these batteries weigh 65# a piece and this is a minimalist system which is only adequate for my radios and led light strips let alone trying to run a refrigerator or freezer off it. They say the list price is 4K and they are going to give you a deal and sell it for 2K. If you want to set up something like this you could simply buy a good size computer UPS with a 100 watt folding panel and you could do that for less than $1000. This is not a deal at all and they peddle stuff like this to people who don't know better.

For around $800 or so you can get a 1.5kw inverter generator that puts out clean power at a whole 1500 watts and will run for several hours off a gallon of gas. Get a generator like this and put away a number of 5 gallon gas cans with fuel stabilizer and then if you want a small solar setup to run some LED light strips and to be able to recharge your small electronics you could go with that and spend quite a bit less than what these people are selling it for.
