ShadowMan

Designated Grumpy Old Fart
Here's an 'old' answer to the 'silence' you are hearing. I forget the name of the movie and the names of the other actors, but Tom Selleck was one of the main stars. He and an old, retired gunslinger walked into a cafe and ordered up some food...and started eating. A young man at the bar recognized the old gunslinger, and challenged him to a gun fight. The old man ignored the young man and just kept eating. The Youth kept spouting off trying to 'egg' him into fighting...until Tom Selleck explained why the old man was ignoring him. He told the kid, "He can kill you before you even touch your gun. He's ignoring you on purpose...because if he doesn't, he'll have to kill you". There was a lot more he said, too...but that's the important part.

When a (real) warrior gets silent...you better get under cover...because it's, "lets go. Talkin's over" time.

Tell Sackett and Cap Roundtree stop at Rosie's in Elizabeth town for a Steak when a pumped-up Gun Slinger tries to have a showdown.

Lol, That's probably the one I was thinking of. But Cap Roundtree is the only one that looks like the 'old man' I can recall. I wonder if there's a 'remake' out there? "Those wrinkles are war maps" is definately "AWESOME", though.

Thanks for hunting it up!
