Just got this alert. We got over an inch last night, rain the night before, it's been pouring buckets for a couple months now. I wish/pray we could get a week off from this stuff. Maybe send some to areas that need it? We are soggy/saturate/wet/drowning up here. The lawn looks like a jungle again, my poor little atttempt at a raised fall garden is holding it's own but only because I put drains into the outsides of it so the excess will run off. Thank God the seeds all are up. But my poor two little pepper plants are pretty yellow at this point. TOO MUCH water!

Enough already! :sht::sht::sht::sht::sht::sht:

URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED
FLOOD WATCH
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GRAY ME
1146 AM EDT SUN JUL 20 2008

.HEAVY RAIN IS EXPECTED OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN THIS AFTERNOON
INTO MONDAY...

A WARM MOIST FLOW OF AIR OVER A STATIONARY FRONT ACROSS THE
MOUNTAINS OF NEW HAMPSHIRE AND WESTERN MAINE WILL BE THE FOCUS FOR
HEAVY RAIN THIS AFTERNOON INTO MONDAY. AT THIS TIME...IT APPEARS
AS THOUGH THE HEAVIEST RAIN WILL FALL ACROSS THE MOUNTAINS...WHERE
2 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN IS POSSIBLE. THESE AREAS HAVE SEEN HEAVY
RAINFALL THE PAST FEW DAYS IN SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS...SO THE
ADDITIONAL RAINFALL COULD RESULT IN FLOODING.

THE HEAVIEST RAIN IS EXPECTED THIS EVENING AND TONIGHT...AND THE
THREAT SHOULD DIMINISH DURING THE DAY MONDAY...AS DRIER AIR TRIES
TO MOVE SOUTH FROM QUEBEC. BEFORE THIS...THE WARM AND MOIST AIR IN
PLACE COULD TRIGGER FLASH FLOODING.
.FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH MONDAY EVENING...

* FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF WESTERN MAINE AND NORTHERN
NEW HAMPSHIRE...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...IN WESTERN
MAINE...CENTRAL SOMERSET...NORTHERN FRANKLIN...NORTHERN

I would gladly send all this stuff west if I could figure out a way to do it. THe humidity today is about 89%.....sticky, icky weather. Not too awfully warm, just enough to make it miserable trying to mow the lawn just now. But I did get the worst spot done where it was the tallest.....over the septic tank and that area...
But I am done pushing that thing today. Inside stuff taking priority now..
